  • A view of a steam driven workshop, showing the working of the saw mill and also the steam driven lathe turning a crosshead for another engine that is been restored in the workshop, the thought of using steam to machine a part for another steam engine is quite interesting in my opinion and probably quite rare! There can't be many workshops in this fantastic condition let alone working still, so hope you enjoy!

    Present day OH&S would have a meltdown if this was a standard workshop - exposed belts, gears and huge flywheels would not bat an eyelid if a spare body part got in the way. Great video of 'back in the day' look at what was normal practice. Thanks for sharing.
