I had the absolute privilege of attending this event and listening to Emma's story which was both heartbreaking and heartwarming in equal measure. It is a true story of how you can't change the cards that life has dealt you, but you can change your outlook and approach and face down your fears to turn them into your secret weapon. Amazing story Emma, wonderfully told. Thanks for sharing
You’re a phenomenal force of nature Emma. People like you change the world and I think you’ve changed my world a little during the process of this talk. Thank you so much for being a local inspiration and making yourself available to the people of Doncaster who really need role models like yourself.
Emma , your story really resonates where me personally and is see alignment with the quote ‘ships are safe at harbour’ but that isn’t where they are supposed to be
Courage is a word that springs to mind about you Emma, jumping on a plane to Aus , surviving adversity , entrepreneurial journey etc . Hugely inspiring , love this so much. ❤️
I accepted a job i didn’t feel good enough to do Emma and overcame my fear. It was a life changing decision and i’ve went on to achieve so much since. GREAT SHARE !
Emma’s talk makes you rethink fear as a powerful ally rather than an enemy, empowering us to turn our deepest challenges into catalysts for growth and success. Truly inspiring!😊
Who doesn’t have a hang up or hang ups or trauma that has followed them through life. Really inspiring how you have used it almost as fuel to be better and do more. Really loved your talk. ❤️
Emma I found this very relatable , my family has had its fair share of problems and some of us have decided to go one way and others another way. Inspirational work. Appreciate the share
I agree with this wholeheartedly it’s either one extreme or the other. I often find in families plagued by addiction there is no invetween. It’s either use it as fuel for growth or go the other way as you say.
Felt sadness thinking about you being homeless at one point. That’s another full talk on its own Emma ! Such an issue for many and you are a true inspiration!!!!
Thank you! You’re right, each minute is a whole separate talk on its own, but had to be brutal and cut it down / fit just the highlights and lowlights in.
Emma - you’re a courageous and special soul. What a true 🦒 you are, sticking your neck out to inspire and help others. I appreciate your message and your willingness to be so open.
Congratulations Emma. Such an empowering talk and message to share with the world. You should be very proud! Way to go! From Dr Grant and the Scared So What team.
Excellent talk and we are all battling something aren’t we. No one is unscathed and it’s very inspiring to see you’ve used your adversity as a catalyst to success. Resilience. ❤️
Love how you turned your childhood experiences around . Truly amazing and one many many many people need to hear. Shared it to my mailing list for you. 10k +
Fear can work one of two ways. It can paralyse us and hold us back from achieving our full potential or we can face it and overcome it and truly grow !!!
Emma, a good friend of yours recommended your Tedtalk and all I can say is, I find your journey truly motivating. You are so influential and I admire you. Thanks❤
Emma I cried all the way through this ... I'm incredibly proud of you and the fire you have in that belly of yours. You are a true survivor and I will always have the highest regard for you as a truly beautiful human. Well done lass !!!
I think it was really great how you leaned into really feeling the fear , understanding your emotions and i suppose in a way getting comfortable in that situation.. maybe im wrong 😑 Congrats !!
That photo of you in the thumbnail of the kid you was very effective and got me in the feels .: i’m a visual person and it made your talk even better if that makes any sense to anyone !
That’s interesting to hear. The AV actually went awry on the day and it didn’t come on till way after it was meant too. But good to know it was still effective. Thanks for your comments❤
Totally agree and isn’t it very sad that around 50 % of us don’t want to be like our parents .. maybe we should give them a break .. they are human too .. Mad world we live in & no one gets out alive
