Really like the way this bag can adapt to the situation you're in. Can be a small EDC bag, and a weekender in the same time. Every time I see the wire dopp it reminds me for how long (feels like the whole life) I am waiting for them to be back in stock!
Happy to have stumbled upon your channel. I’m a big closet backpack nerd and don’t have an outlet to share it! Couple questions and an ask….what are your thoughts/experiences with Visvim Backpacks and other Porter bags? I did a swing through Japan a few years back and made sure to hit every Porter store in Tokyo! Also, a huge part of backpack porn (for me) is to see how it sits on your back. Any chance you could comment or show the bags on your back? Thank you sir and keep up the great work. Will be following you now!
I have been in the middle of a transition to another channel which I'll be announcing here shortly, so apologize for the delay. I've used both Visvim and Porter. Porter a lot more and I believe I reviewed the Porter Daypack on the channel. Big fan of Porter, for sure.
I was afraid of this and came to realize that the two side pockets are more than enough. I was also “concern” about the non quick laptop access. But in the end, so you take in and out the laptop that many yikes during the day? And when so, is it not mostly on a situation where you will work with it for some stretch? I prefer it now extra protected from the elements with the flap than with most zippers
Damn it JT, this should've came out on Thursday so I too can flex my Apex on the trip past 2 days 🤣🤣 Question: Is it practical as a travel bag? Or does the toolbelt organization goes against it?
Works great as a travel bag. Everything remains accessible. The packing cube lives at the bottom so your daily carry just gets pushed up. For me, one of the best minimal travel bags I own. It's one of the best all around bags there is. Period.
Just as a note. For those that go so crazy about water bottle access. If you open the side zip, the you can just open the side flap and take the water bottle out. That counts as quick access for me.
Crazy. You sold me on this bag after I completely wrote it off, thinking the look wasn't for me. Now here I am wishing I had a minimalist version of my Mystery Ranch 2DAP... This is an incredible bag. That price tho 🥲
It's interesting that the designer of the Apex had inspiration from an old Camelbak (MR Design) bag. Definitely makes sense. I think the price tag is a lot, but you kinda get what you pay for. I handle a lot of bags, and rarely do I think they are "worth" their price in terms of materials / build. This one, definitely feels that way.
449. Expensive? Yes. But there are designer "luxury" brands that has absolutely no features that have brand logos on it that costs well over 2000. I think after people look at what those designer brands sell they're bags for, people won't complain about price for these kind of bags.
I agree on that. I say this often but, I handle tons and tons of bags and the Apex is one that certainly "feels" its price in person. Every person I've ever recommended it to that has actually bought it loved it. It's a great bag. Pricy, for sure. But worth the price in my books.
Awesome - the Apex is at the top of my "when I have to travel for work again I can totally justify buying this" list!
Can't go wrong with this bag, that's for sure!

I heard that maybe the Wiredopps are.... discontinued :/
@@jtinseoul7041 Really? Why they would discontinue such a great and popular product…:-(
@@tomaszb317 selling right now.
I really enjoy this video 🙂 Have watched it more than once 🙂
I see a new JT video post at 3:33AM, I watch new JT video at 3:33AM. I'm a simple man. Keep up the great work 🤙
GO TO BED! haha.
Really though, glad it was a short one today ;)
So slick. Love this one bro.
Thanks JT for the amazing video!
Love this! I really enjoy seeing how bags pack out fully. How comfy are those straps under load?
From my experience, super nice (I am 1.85m and ~80kg)
Great for me too. Like way better then they look like they will be.
One of the best harness systems I've used so far, even under heavier loads.

Wow that Apex can pack a lot! That front flap makes the volume variable?
The front flap has a bit of play and the shape is just really smartly designed. It definitely handles like what a 30l bag can.
JT, awesome! Quick question: do you miss a top quick access pocket while using it?
Not really! I don't tend to use them a whole lot anymore. On this bag those two side pockets are more than enough for my quick access needs.

@@josegoncalvesdias3242 THANKS!! Yeah, after I have asked, I came to realize that I don't miss that top pocket on my Bannoch...

haha, my bad mate. I actually filmed it a couple of days ago too, ha :(

That cord ball gave me the cringe

Love the vids you've earned a new sub. 🫰quick question would a 32oz hydro flask/klean kanteen bottle fit in the side flap bottle holder?
32oz Camelbak chute bottle fits in fine. 👍
