  • Been after these dogs for a while now. It's very satisfying to be able to out outsmart, stalk and shoot wild dogs. They are a big problem around here especialy at this time of the year when there are a lot of baby calves on the ground and the bitches are teaching their pups to kill. So over all a good result to help keep the numbers down a bit. Still more dogs to get yet but hopefully for another video.

    Excellent effort to get those dogs. Nice shooting setup you’ve got there. That Ruger Scout did the trick on those dogs. My favourite knife to take shooting is the Victorinox Hunter Pro. It takes a good edge and has excellent ergonomics.

    You mentioned you got the new knife for scalping the dogs what do you mean by scalping. Do you take all of the hide or just parts of the dog and is there a bounty on them. Take care and God bless ✌️🇨🇦

    Love you're content mate, super satisfying watching you get dogs and cats out of the eco system, you're dogs seem to be smaller and more dingo/kelpie like,
    Down here in Vic we get big German shepherd looking dogs that have been known to raid campsites and surround mothers with small children, as soon as I get my bow I'll be out there hunting them, climb a tree and drop raw sausages below it, then the waiting game begins.

      Thanks mate. I used to do a bit of bow hunting but now just use rifles. Don't have to look for bullets haha. But bow hunting is good fun. Challenging to stalk up and get close to your target. My brothers are right into it though. Good luck mate.

      Im using an Innorel tripod and ball head with a home made/adapted clamp. Not a very good one but it does the job till i can afford to buy a decent one.
      As for bounties, the differ from shire to shire across the country. But here where we are I get $30-$50 per dog, $30 per fox and $10 per cat. Pig aren't worth anything unless you have all the accreditation to shoot roos and pigs and take them into the chiller box to have their meat exported. But that is more red tape and expenses to go through for me justify.

    • @intothenight1993
      @intothenight1993  2 роки тому

      Im near Taroom in Central QLD. A drone with thermal might be useful but they cost a lot of money and they might make too much noise. I did have one but just sold it to upgrade to a bit better one. But the hard part is most of what I do is on my own and its hard to be spotting from the air and working the ground at the same time. Need another person and communicate via UHF would be ideal.
