I was driving on ok road conditions for 1/2 hour then the white out hit. Kept checking road conditions but conditions changed suddenly. This was on Dec 21 2022 - was at night on dark interstate I80. Highway Patrol should block people from driving into these conditions. Absolutely terrifying! Extremely dangerous
When will people learn to stop traveling on the holidays. I can't really feel sorry. People know this happens every year. Leave earlier amd stay later if you don't want the hassle.
It's 1 fn day stay home I'm sure your family would rather have you safe. I'm older but I'll tell you if traveling was that stressful I wouldn't bother with it. The insanity amazes me you get a 10 advance on weather today and people still wait or act as if it's the most important thing.
The "Once in a generation" claim was probably issued by a 19 year old intern. Because I know full well that meteorologists who have done this for decades have seen worse weather!
So..the weather from the North moves to the South and East very fast. In Seattle and thankful! It usually always misses us. My heart goes out to everyone east of us! Absolute perfect weather always!

A friend decided she's driving to Florida today for Christmas. What a darn great idea to drive to Texas during a snow storm.
Flying during the holiday is always stressful and fill with delays. I would avoid if possible.
