I live in eastern Oregon. We have snow. We needed snow as this year is way too warm and dry. The reservoirs are very low .

Yeah most aren't careful I've been a truck driver for 13 years and I was heading from Amarillo Texas to Portland Oregon and I got stuck three different times

I most definitely feel you, because I am a corporate Dispatcher for a major company. I don't think twice about shutting down my Interstate or Intrastate Drivers for SAFETY over profit. We have to adhere and practice SAFETY & COMPLIANCE, especially, to these type of horrible weather conditions. I will call each customer and the Driver's family, to discuss the "Act of god" towards unforeseen delays and promote safety.
I don't care if my drivers have the time on there drivers logs to technically continue driving. I'm shutting him or her DOWN if it's not safe.
Money 💰 can be REPLACED. A LIFE/LIVES, the love for my staff/independent contractors and overall conscious CANNOT!!!!! 🙏

80's down here mid Florida. The oak trees are dumping leaves like it's raining. I put the heater away, then drag it out. The next day I turn on the air conditioning. Crazy stuff.

I live in Rochester MN, and I have to say the city did a superb job at clearing the snow on the road. By 3 PM today, the big roads are so clean, people are driving like 60mph on the highway like normal. Just the residential areas are still sticky. Good job the city of Rochester for clearing 20+in of snow!!!
I visited Rochester a few years back. I loved the subway. It is definitely a unique city!

They have been telling everyone this was coming since last weekend. Why then don't people just plan to stay home for 2 days and not travel except for emergencies, rather than risk your lives or others?!?!?
My daughter was ready to quit her job. Once the snow started with flurries, the girls wanted to head home. The manager said no. They left when it began to fall heavily. By that time it was too late to drive safely. The freeway was backed up. People were sliding and getting stuck. She found a parking spot and took public transportation.

It's all going south. I live in southern Arkansas and we've had 3 snow storms that are more on par for when I used to live in Northwest Ohio. The south has gotten probably 10x what I'm used to getting down here this year alone.

Snow tires help . And by the way Minnesota dumbasses, 4 wheel drive does not help you stop or steer at highway speed . And you might want to learn how to drive in snow before you go hauling ass down the highway . Other than that stay up there . Things haven't changed, just the people living there have .

I live in Buffalo NY, first the two massive snowstorms including the Blizzard of 2022 at Christmas and this week we got a bad ice storm. I had two inches at least of ice on my car. This weather has been crazy this winter.
I loved living in Fargo so much!! But, every winter kept getting worse lol. So we decided to buy a house in Ga in 2020.

over here in VA it was 80f one day last week... (very high for Feb for us)
Really... how come we truck drivers running west coast only encountered a skiff of snow yesterday up I-5 at Siskiyou Pass and today we back running southbound I-5 into San Francisco Bay area and only seeing partly cloudy ⛅ skies, roads dry. Up north we being Oregonian's very used to wintery weather we just having our normal usual small amount of snowfall and of course it melts. Thanks for the weather alert folks we needed a laugh or two. We'll let you know if we encounter any blizzardlike weather conditions here in California. We do see some pretty blue up 👆 there, would certainly be nice to get some more rain ☔ here again to help out ongoing drought conditions.

I’m in San Diego CA and my sister in Los Angeles SNOW IN LOS ANGELES SHE SAID ! Here in San Diego it’s raining and really windy 🌬️ like powerful winds also flooding in my neighborhood. It’s supposed to rain 90% from now until Wednesday 3/1. This is really freak weather! Also in California we had about 3 cyclones 🌀 one the first week of 2023 NEW YEARS STORM and then the other two closely followed we were in drought all last year and we came out of it IN LESS THAN A MONTH U BELIEVE THAT!!!!

Small storm, my place barely have enough water.
Tanks have no traction on ice. Only ice shoes which are ice picks can make the ice manageable. There are two solutions expensive heating cables run along the two tire marks in the road or double-trailer trucks with welding torches that melt and vacuum away the melted water to make two tire ruts in the ice. This way there will be one lane in each direction where there is traction. Salt can also be dispersed at the same time by these large double-trailer trucks.

How about Portland Oregon got a foot of snow within 10 hours the storm shut down the whole city of Portland and everybody have been in their cars on the freeways it was insane... I'm a truck driver and I live in Portland Oregon I was in Oklahoma City heading west to Portland and I got stuck twice bad storm very I miss Florida that's my home originally
My daughter almost got stuck because her manager would not let her go home early. It is a dental office, no patients because the dentist called in sick. The freeway was horrible. She found a parking spot and took the train home.
