  • Long video. Sorry. I finally added some additional information that may increase the likelihood of success with Parosmia. The original head flick video has been seen a bunch and on the news. But we have added a little bit more information that might increase the likelihood of success. You can go back and watch the original video. This one is a little long and I know that. But it helps to incorporate all the information that we need.

I was skeptical, and waited a few days because I thought no way it would work...well almost immediately 90% of parosmia was gone. I went from crying myself to sleep to eating normal food without a nose clip. I am just scared it will come back. Thank you, Dr. Ross! You truly deserve an award. I would rather give birth w/o an epidural every day than go through this again.

I've been dealing with parosmia/anosmia and other associated symptoms for seven months. I tried the head flick method today, and I was shocked that I could smell the onions and garlic sautéing while I made soup! I could actually taste my food at suppertime! I'm thrilled with this result. Thank you, Dr. Ross, for sharing these simple methods that are definitely worth trying. I will repeat these techniques as long as it takes to regain as much of my pre-Covid senses as possible. Thank you for posting any updates you may have regarding overcoming these long Covid symptoms.

    Omg, it works! Wow!
Did this on my boyfriend with severe parosmia and didn't even explain him anything about it, because he's a sceptic.
Imagine the surprise. Bad (foul mucus🤢) taste gone and he could smell the food cooking!
I'd say it's 80% back, repeating the procedure a second time tomorrow.

cannot believe this information isn't more popular. Thank you so so much!

Dr. Ross - No video is too long to help me try and solve these problems! I am absolutely going to try the exercises. I'm coming up on two years wresting with these issues. the first year and a half my taste/smell changed frequently from about 50% loss to 85% loss. Five months ago I realized one day that they were 100% gone and I haven't tasted or smelled a thing since. Even some textures in food gag me. I'll let you know how this works. Thank you so much for sharing this info.

I started doing this last year after I suffered from Parosmia. My husband saw your video on I think Tik Tok before I got this and then he said I saw this before from a Chiropractor lets see if it works. It did, it would allow me to be able to eat something then it would come back but I kept doing this and it did work and each time it got better. I am 1 1/2 from Covid and I am able to enjoy food and smella again. I still have a minute residual. But overall I am about 98% back. So thankful you shared this way back in the beginning. I literally thought I was going nuts when it first happened. I did share this in that Facebook group back a year ago but I think because it was so new everyone thought I was crazy trumping my head lol. I am glad I like to think out of the box. I think repetition was definitely the key of doing this that got me back on track. Thank you for your research

Found this video from seeing the one where you were featured on a news clip with a young woman who lost her taste and smell due to Covid, and it worked for her. My husband and I got Covid again three weeks ago he lost his taste and smell, I tried your method, and he already is smelling things that he couldn’t smell at all, his taste is still barely there, but it’s already helping his sense of smell so should only be a matter of time. We will do this technique daily on each other. Unfortunately, I lost my taste and smell completely in 2020 and it took nearly 2 years to get anything back, I’m hopeful, this will help some. Thank you so much Dr. Ross.!!!

I've had phantosmia since March 2016. I got it after a cold I had. I smelled thick smoke/dust. It has changed with time, and in the last 3 years or so it is not there all the time, and I mostly get a "smell echo" (if I smell something noticeable, that smell stays with me for 3-7 days afterwards). I got covid nearly two weeks ago and I noticed a new "soapy" smell (this one was all the time), when I got the positive PCR I concluded that this was my "covid smell". I still have it a bit, but I also have now spells of anosmia, which is something completely new for me. About your techniques, they sound crazy, yes. But when I first had phantosmia and it was a horrible thick smoke smell, I discovered that, if I pushed the tip of my nose slightly inwards and up, the smell stopped. I used to use that strategy to get to sleep, as otherwise I felt I could not breathe. Back then the only person I could find who had researched this topic was Dr Donald Leopold (he must be really busy these days) He explained about it and gave me advice on what to do, although explained that there was no research or cure, and 50% of people do not recover.

Hi Dr. Ross! Okay so my situation is very odd. I can smell almost everything, a few I can't. But my main issue is taste. Certain things don't register at all when I eat, mostly drink like milk I can't taste at all. But I can taste sweetarts. But most food I can't get the flavor of. It kind of more registers through my nose. I know I'm eating something that has flavor but my taste buds can't taste it. It literally feels like something is blocking the taste from registering. I feel like the taste buds on my tongue are dead. Haven't been able to taste actual flavors for about a month now

I have been dealing with Parosmia for a while. I couldn’t leave the house, shower, eat, NOTHING. I had 10 safe foods, yes 10 and I was constantly trying new things! I lost my job because I couldn’t go into the office even when no one was eating food. I lost so much weight, always on the verge of fainting because so weak. Basically my life was in shambles and I was deteriorating slowly. I even had fleeting thoughts of if this new life was worth it. I finally found this video and that was it my life was back! I almost choked on a chip I was eating because I was crying/bawling in joy. I immediately washed my hand and didn’t get sick and the soap smelled like it should, went around my house smelling and if edible trying to swallow while still crying in joy. Dr. Ross is the exact person we need in this world. He should be recognized from everyone!!! I feel like he just invented the wheel for the first time! Thank you is not enough, I was given my life back and I couldn’t be more grateful to Dr. Ross for caring and giving people with no hope their lives back!!!!

Thanks for the video. I'm willing to try about anything!! I must say, though, that it's very distracting to watch this when you aren't looking at the camera. It just seems odd and it's hard to concentrate on the content. Maybe there's a good reason you don't look at the camera, but I thought I'd mention it...

Go to www.covidtasteandsmellrecovery.com and read a small portion of the success stories on there. Read some of the comments in the videos.
