Watching this now. Thank you. I'm an older woman, bad back, bad ankle, heart problem. Gorgeous tour but I think your video saved me from a lot of disappointment because I would not have been able to make it safely. None the less thank you so much for sharing this magnificent trip with us! It looks amazing!
I appreciate your honest commentary. I've been trying to do less group tours in my recent travels for exactly the reasons you mentioned. Unfortunately, sometimes taking a tour is cheaper, safer and logistically easier than trying figure out how to get to these places on your own, especially if you want to see a lot of things in a short amount of time. Also, often there is the added benefit of getting information you won't find in the guidebooks or online, but ideally these days, I would avoid them all together.
I do agree with you, Kapadokya is a great place to visit again and again. And I also agree about not booking an organized tour, for the same reasons you have. I have been to Kapadokya last year, I rented a bicycle, so I was able to go around freely. Unfortunately I only had two weeks. So I couldn't do many things either, I could spend another two weeks just there.
What month did you visit? Im planning a trip end of June...how gruelling willl the weather be? Being from Bombay we are used to heat and humidity but travelling with parents so dont want them to be dehydrated or fatigued too much.
So sad 😢😭 and sorry 😭😢 my condolences from Pakistan to Turkish sisters mothers daughters and father brothers and son on recent earthquake in which innocent people lost their lives may Allah SWT bless Turkey and it's beautiful people from Pakistan 🙂🇵🇰🇹🇷🥰😍

please dont keep taking videos and photos and have the rest of the group waiting for you in this kind of tour.. i think the tour guide deserve to be rude at you guys.. tour is like that- you can't expect them to bring you to see so many things in such a short amount of time with such a big group.. if you want, PAY MORE AND HIRE A PRIVATE TOUR so you can stop complaining. Dont pay little and expect so much
Lol! Sorry but no. And it wasn’t just us the guide left behind, there were 3 more people. You cannot justify incompetent work. I have been on group tours and this was by far one of the bad experiences. The only thing I expected was a decent behaviour and don’t think that’s too much :)
@@Whatsnextakanksha I used to join group tour but i have stopped. cos once in a while, you have to wait for this group of pp who can't keep up with the rest of the group and have to wait for them.. i think it is not just your tour guide that is upset.. but rest of your group members are also upset cos they have to wait for you guys... i still do those group tour once in a while for site that need tour guide.. but i just pay more nowadays to tour around myself and i have more time and privacy and dont have to get upset over the common issues in group tour.
I agree with @mihmih2129. Hiring a private guide would be the most ideal option for you. But, having been on many tours, I also agree with Akanksha, the tour was very poorly organized and the guide was incompetent. It's not even about stopping to take pictures (which is completely rational). I've had tour guides that would literally speed walk and expect people to keep up with them. I had one tour guide with ADHD. She just disappeared and the group had no clue where she went or what we were supposed to do. Finally I just said, "F it", and took off and the rest of the group followed me, and we found her several yards down the road on her phone. Then when we were leaving in the bus, she almost left some people behind. So you are WRONG! It's the GUIDE'S responsibility to adjust their pace to the people in the group and make sure everyone is there. Usually the only issues we have is someone oversleeping or getting lost during the free time. Stopping to take pictures and enjoy the places you paid big money to see is NOT "lagging". And the restaurant was definitely false advertising. My favorite experience was also in Taiwan, when our guide kicked us out in the middle of the city and called a cab to take us the rest of the way, because he was running late and our hotel was "too far". So don't immediately go defending these people and don't blame the girl, especially if there were other people it happened to. The guide was just incompetent and the tour was badly organized. And I could rant on and on about these types of tours. Group tours aren't for everyone.

Thanks! Yes that’s true. I do take group tours but after this one I really look at reviews first.
Hi,
Do you think we can book a red or a green tour after reaching Cappadocia? Or should we just book through getyourguide or viator?
If you’re going in high season, pre book it.
