I like your short 10 min lessons, it is a good size for morning tea at work, I like the simplicity of your tuition, plain English and your energy is very contagious..
Much respect..
Solid and to the point, Rotem. Autumn Leaves was a challenge for me in my beginning years because it was visually burned into my brain from the Real Book. I finally understood it after I played the changes and the melody in multiple keys. That always clears things up!
You make it so simple and easy to understand.Do more jazz standards! And would love to hear your versions. You have a beautiful oriental flavour to your lines.
i watch everyones videos on youtube, these videos to me have a way of connecting dots that others seem to fail at.. thank you!
Thanks!!!
I am a jazz guitar beginner (even after years of playing) and this was very useful! Not too simple or watered down, and also not too far over my head. It's helpful for me to hear someone much more experienced than myself explain their thought process in a very straightforward way. Thank you!
Although my opinion doesn't carry the weight yours does, I really think you're onto something in trying to sing more while you play. I feel there is much to be gained in doing this for guitarists. This is something I need to force myself to do more to develop as a guitarist, and I plan to ask my wife (a choral conductor) for help with this.
Thanks! Happy it helped
best explanation of Autumn Leaves I have heard. But hey what do I know.
Nice vid! Good way to think about these standards
nice ending! now I understand the chorus/ flanger in all the video : )
Lol. Thanks man 🙏
Great video! Very helpful.
Is that a Julian Lage quote at the beginning? I’ll be seeing you? Really cool man. Cheers!
Thank you..Body and Soul Chordmelody would be great ;)
Very nice presentation done in a warm, friendly way.
Thanks!! 🙏
That was awesome and exceptionally clear. I’d love to hear how you’d approach playing over the changes of, say, autumn leaves.
I'll do that too
love your videos super helpful!
💙
Dude just found this video… can’t believe you’re an R. A. Salvatore fan… those books rule!
Man! I'm a big fan!!
@@RotemSivanGuitar try some David Gemmell if you like those. Good relaxation for new fathers and epic fantasy worlds
Your'e so cool, Rotem!
Loved it. Great info. Would love to hear you sing too.🎶🎼👍
Very informative and simplifying...thanks Rotem.
🙏
Hi Rotem, have you created an AL solo video? Thank you!
That was great. Thanks a lot :)
❤️🙏
Great Video :)
How is the song called you played in the end? I am curious to learn it.
Its just so hard to get started somewhere to learn how to use extensions etc :D
Greetings
Lukas
Excellent!
Thanks!
Thanks
Welcome!
HI shivan I want to say this you have nice way of teaching about you if you eant to have my opinion There is so much a boost of theory tjat it is not nessecary to spell it out in deraiil or to talk like beginners are watching of course if you intentonally want to imclude them thars fine but please understand thete.a also teachets thay teach.more the advancinf students what do you want tp be give again.an echo of a beginner.lesson? I Think you have.some intetesting things to share so gp ahead I am open Yoy are a great playet
Hey,I can make good 251 lines but for that I have to think! If I improvise with a metronome/backing track, then the lines created are very substandard! Can you suggest me something?
I would start working on the 1-3-5 across the guitar to see the chord tones better
Let's take a jazz song. It applies to any song but we take a jazz one because... screw it, because jazz is hecking awesome.
Lolz ;)
Great lesson! I would just love to hear a little cleaner and more clear sound, without all that chorus/ reverb. Maybe that's just me :)
I have a trick for this: To learn a new song, learn it in its original key as well as in the key of C major/a minor. Key of C makes all the relationships look obvious.
Yep, that's awesome too!
