Tiny Temples - Spoken Word Poem

Spirit Houses are all over Thailand.
They are shrines to the protective spirits and it is believed that if you place offerings regularly at the spirit house, it will ward off bad spirits and bring good fortune to the home or business where it is placed.
To the eyes of a tourist, these look like tiny versions of the impressive temples you see all around as you travel through Thailand. They have a different purpose than the temples built for worship, but still a religious tone, nonetheless.
As a worship leader for a church in the US, Autumn's mind was drawn over and over to these "Tiny Temples". It instinctively became a constant pull back to the spiritual dynamics of the country we were falling in love with as we travelled for her. This video is the result of Autumn's heart wrestling with these spirit houses--with their purpose, their prevalence, and their overwhelming presence.

Love this. We are about to visit Thailand and I wanted to challenge my kids to remember their devotion to God each time they see a temple or statue. Thanks for sharing this.
