It's kinda fair. Tomb Raider borrowed a lot of thematic inspiration from Indy, and gameplay from Prince of Persia. Then we had Infernal Machine and Prince of Persia 3D, both of which borrowed the gameplay from Tomb Raider.

@@Sinbad1999, Tomb Raider was a runaway success in the three years leading up to making this game, so it was definitely a heavy inspiration. This was also true for PoP3 when it came out the same year as Infernal Machine. I recall reading some interviews at the time which confirmed this. Different people (Tomb Raider was made by Core, Infernal Machine by Lucasarts, and Prince of Persia 3 by Red Orb) all making similar types of games.

When I saw you playing this one, I got a wave of nostalgia. I had this game as a kid and funny I was commenting as you were playing it. While I never actually got all that far in the game, I still had fond memories of it. I also remember it looking a lot better graphically, funny thing about childhood memories. I never finished the game, so I never knew what happened, but I loved it none the less.

I remembered Cinemassacre were saying how broken and kept dying from a snake bite and here, Kevin progressed farther than them. My 6 year old in me was screaming the snake antidote was in your inventory and find Kevin more respect here.
Man I loved this game growing up. I'd definetly like to see more! Just know that the game originally came with a manual which was supposed to help you clear the first level, which also explained most of the controls and mechanics.
Dude this game was one of my favorites as a kid. I can't wait to see you fail at it!
Day 2 Of Asking Kevin To Play Lego Harry Potter Years 1-4 Again
This game was my literal fucking childhood. I am a huge Indiana Jones fan, a passion I shared with my grandfather especially because the films are so great. Me and him used to play this all the time, and he could never get past one particular part. It took years and yet we could never figure it out... Nevertheless there were many great memories.
Unfortunately he passed away from cancer in 2007. I promised that I would complete it, and after hours of figuring it out, I finally finished the game.
Outside of the nostalgia however, this is a fantastic game. The controls are first very awkward to play with, but it honestly becomes natural in playing. The gameplay and graphics still hold up incredibly well, as does the ambitious globe-trotting and even genuinely interesting and well-put together narrative. The entire aesthetics and designs are all great at giving the story's required scope and scale, as well as providing creative, otherworldly places. All the puzzle solving is quite difficult, especially in the later parts of the game, but extremely fun. Sure, the gunplay us stiff and awkward but the action overall more than makes up for those flaws. So many memorable setpieces recalling the films are here too, from the rafting on the Tian Shan River or my favourite level of the entire game, King Solomon's Mines. I'd go more into it but I highly recommend you to play it; it's an overlooked, underrated Lucasarts classic!
