Now, this was a good treat of duel for us this week! It was surprising to see the two of you decided to play the HERO SD and Blue-Eyes SD as they are from the box. Guess we will have some HERO vs Blue-Eyes content for the forthcoming week. I say you did pretty great playing the HERO SD despite all the shortcomings. As you said, Alex's Blue-Eyes SD has better cards and better offensive pushes compared to your HERO SD and it kinda reminds me the old Yuga and Luke's SD way back from early era of RD's dynamic. I think you two did pretty well in this showcase, with the exception of Alex dominating the 1st round by having Blue-Eyes early on. Ngl, I kinda dig this style of highlander-style of duel like this once in a blue moon. This really feels like an anime-style duel because you two are forced with only one or two copies of cards in your possession. I lowkey love this kind of duel because you get to experience what the duelist had gone through in the anime with their scarce copies of cards. If I may make suggestion, maybe you and Alex can try this kind of duel on special occasion. For example, when Go Rush ends maybe next year and the ceremonial duel will Yudias vs Yuhi, you and Alex may try to duel with this highlander with their decks. So because Yudias only play 1 Oblivion you can only use that card as single in the deck, same as with Yuhi's monsters, Spell, Traps; with the exception of vanillas that they do have multiples copies like Tamabots and Interstellimes. But again, that's just my humble opinions and I don't mean every time and every week you and Alex must play highlander like this. Maybe for some occasional milestones of the channels or big moments in the anime are the best moments where you can make some variations in the duels. Still, this was a blast of duel to watch and can't wait for the next couple of weeks showcasing the HERO decks even more. Hopefully, Alex might get some wins again to catchup the lost victories from the last couple of weeks! I'm always rooting for Alex in this channel but don't get discouraged and keep doing your best in the videos!
Oh boy. Here comes the full weeks of pure Elemental HERO variants. In fact, despite only coming out these days, this Elemental HERO's Structure has already led to many variants being created: - Skysavior Elemental HERO - Pure Elemental HERO - Music Princess Elemental HERO - Good Warrior Stuff + Elemental HERO In fact, the Pure and Music Princess version has had good results for Japanese players. Elemental Circulation is broken and easily abused if you have an Elemental HERO's Engine. Miracle Fusion is always nice to have and helps the Deck quite a bit with being a competent Fusion Deck. Lastly, Skyscraper became a very important card in these Decks when it was a mediocre or bad card in the OCG/TCG. In itself, this Structure gives you everything you need to create a competent Elemental HERO Deck if you buy three Structures (something similar happens with Blue-Eyes, where you will only have the competent version of the Deck when you buy three Structures). Not to mention valuable reprints that several players want to have. Of course, it is guaranteed that Elemental HERO Deck will improve a lot with Contact Fusion and the new members for Rising HERO.
I'm looking forward to getting my hands on the new contact fusion cards and i'm happy that I got the heroes since it means Alex wont have all the contact fusion to himself!
About Rush's Blue-Eyes, the Deck still has a powerful core, but the days of Nostalgia are long gone. Currently, the Deck cannot compete much with the Meta, considered a Rogue Deck by many players. It's still frustrating to face, but many Monsters and Cards have come out that control Rush's Blue-Eyes well. Therefore, Rush's Blue-Eyes needs to be renewed or it will remain stagnant forever (as happened with Dragon Decks in Early Rush Duels). Of course, the existence of Rush's Blue-Eyes in the Meta means that Praime Dwarf will continue to bully the Deck. PS: Speaking of Praime Dwarf, the recent Episode not only brings more support for Dark Matter (this is obvious), but out of nowhere, we have more Praime cards. - Dark Matter brought a handful of cards that help facilitate bringing Dark Matter Enigmata to the Field, as well as give it direct support to improve that Fusion Monster. The most relevant thing is that they unveiled a new Fusion Monster that can acquire/change its name to "Dark Matter Enigmata" and take advantage of all the support focused on Enigmata. - Praime brought with it many new tools: that includes a Beast-Warrior member in Shiva, a Field Spell to support the Deck's trick with Tributes, a pretty good Trap Card (with Big Bluefin as representative) and, most importantly, the Beast member in White Panda received an update: it is now a Monster that allows you to change the Attribute of your Opponent's Monsters to LIGHT Attribute (increasing the efficiency of Praime Dwarf)
Great video the structure deck has promise but definitely needs work. By the way I was recently playing dawn of the battle royale let's go and I found it a little more fun than rush duel in duel links but at the same time it skills help maximum monsters in a great way but the battle royale reminds me why it better for rush to 8000 life points than 6000 in duel links any thoughts on which you would prefer?
I think 6k makes sense from konami's point of view since they want games to be quick (the primary target audience for any mobile game is going to be the Japanese community commuting) but there are so many OTK or OTK-adjacent decks in Rush that 6k just feels too low. Overlord is just the first of many decks that will probably cause some issues going forward.
Well have I got good news for you coming next week! We still have several weeks before the new box releases so we wanted to give heroes multiple weeks while we wait!
Why don't you have the Talismanic fusions? You have their materials, but not them? Especially in Duel 1 where you could revive Dog with Blue and make the DARK fusion, with Avian, Green, Blue, and Dog is grave. Or summon LIGHT with Green but that would be more risky.
@@samurexatlas7373 In Character Draft we only use cards after they've released physically, so we'll have to wait until the next box drops before we see Shining Flare Wingman!
@@TheKnightOfBuquicious In Character Draft me and Alex draft characters and have exclusive access to that character's boss monsters (level 7 and higher) so we don't draft the cards specifically, but the characters themselves.
@@Tomatosaurswell I didn't remember that explanation so maybe you should emphasize it more or smth. Also there is enough different chars for 36 eps? Whoa

I saw miracle fusion and got confused, since theres no banishment zone, but they changed it. Lmao
Yeah this happens a lot, like Icarus Attack can be used on Summon or Attack Declaration since traps need specific activation requirements.

I know it's irrelevant to this video but according to a datamine, we should be getting fusions in duel links, at least that what it says on their site

6000 is okay in my opinion. 8000 life points would prevent getting OTK by Maximum Overlord though
It depends, if at any point you go bellow 3500, theres a huge chance you get otk, no matter if you start at 6000 or 8000.
@neonoah3353 You're right, you're gonna get otk no matter what because of that life point difference atk boost.
