I wouldn't change the Harley, honestly, I'd change its style. Put more chrome bits on it, make it more old school, get an exhaust that it's not too obnoxious etc. I see going from Harley to RE as a step down (although the new classic 650 is gorgeous). Only lateral move would br a triumph, but still, vruisers are way cooler than retros for me so I'd never do it. If you haven't sold it, I'd love to see a customization series. Great video tho, found your channel thanks to Freddie Dobbs and very much enjoying your content. Cheers from Scotland. Davide
Hey mate, Great video. I've recently started looking at modern classic bike's myself. Ive been riding dual sports for the last 18 years, since Highschool. I've narrowed down to a few modern classic bikes, Triumph T100, Royal Enfield Intercepter 650, Moto Guzzi v7, and my favorite so far the Kawasaki w800. Can't wait to see what bike you get next, Ride safe ✌️
Hi Jordy, completely get your thoughts on change of bike after change of location, if we ever relocate I'd probably do the same. I had a RE Classic 350 prior to my 883 and if I was to change now I'd most likely be looking at the new RE Clasic 650 or the Interceptor.
Looking on autotrader, you can just about get into a Triumph Scrambler 900 for five grand; the older, Bonnie-derived one before the Street Scrambler. That would be my choice, they're timeless, elegant, great platforms to mod, sound amazing, but they're genuinely capable too. My best mate has one and takes his up all manner of sketchy stuff.
Loads of T100's and 865's under 5k on autotrader. If you want to be a little different there's one NEWCHURCH aswell. Hope this helps. Good luck with the search!🏍️
Hi Jordy! Well, I believe I’m pretty well-qualified to make a couple recommendations since I currently own both of these babies 😊. As mentioned in a previous post, the air-cooled Triumph Thruxton 900 is just an excellent machine that would fit your needs to a “T”. The 2014-2015s here in the States are right in your price range-guessing the same $$ there? Also, I’m so pleased with my ‘22 Royal Enfield Continental GT-such a sweet bike! And-both can take a passenger too! Again- a slightly used RE GT is right in your target $ range. I’d be happy to send pix if you’d like-and I can also advise some sweet modifications too. Good luck my friend.
My spouse owns the st900. Fun bike but at 5'10" i feel like a bear riding a tricycle on it also something they dont advertise it lacks a 6th gear which i hate. Love my thruxton rs but its expensive for your budget.
We are on the same trip, I had Enfield interceptor, then Iron 883 , now going RE bear 😎 , plus I've had many other sports bikes over the last 30 years , but I've lost interest in that , Royal Enfield are smashing it with their new releases.
@JordyPressman I did that when they came out , I think RE have realised that's what many tried to do to their Interceptors and now brought out the bear , the upgrades over the interceptor is well worth it , and there is many 😎👊🏼
Jordan, consider a Thruxton 900. The old air cooled beast. I've had one since 2016, and it's the "mutts nuts" a real old school British twin, you can tune and customise to infinity and beyond. Funny thing is I'm desperate to own a Harley, as I'm 61 and never had one. Never going to flog my Thruxton as I've spent so much on it, it's part of the family, just like my old '63 Landy. Bur when money allows, I'll be buying a 1200 Nightster. Nor interested in the new water cooled plastic, covered in electric gimmicks bikes. Seriously have a look at a few Thruxton 900 videos on UA-cam and save yourself a few quid, as they're not that expensive.
@@robertpewsey8931 Thruxton has always been a dream bike to own! They have to be one of the best looking bikes ever! A Thruxton and Landy is ultimate combo goals 😍 I agree the new plasticy not my cup of tea either… I’ll do some research!
Hi just one question do you want too sell or ar you thinking outhers might not like it if the latter dont sell push her down the road before starting if you must i have a street bob and do that for early srarts if they object to the harley they will object to speed twin most people think the harley is already retro whatever you decide or have already decided i wish you luck

It's like RE actually talk to their customers & consider their opinions. Tbh l think others are hurtling up an ever expensive one way street.
Thruxton 900
I have an 883 iron. Well, it's now a 1275cc. I'm interested in replacing it for a Royal Enfield Bear
