- We were just about to continue our bicycle tour when the corona virus pandemic shut down borders all around the world. So we got stuck here in The Gambia in West Africa without any idea about when we would be able to continue our world tour. Let's make the best of the situation! ✌🏽

We are Peyman and Matilda and since 2018 we are cycling around the world for 10 YEARS, making vlog-style documentary videos about our adventures.
We have cycled from Finland to Africa, and currently we are cycling the west coast towards South Africa and from there to Kenya. After Africa we will start to cross Asia and the Americas.

You two made me learn Finnish 🙂 I dated a Finnish girl for 6 years and learnt some basics from her. Unfortunately we broke up 2 years ago. Then I came across your channel couple of months ago and while watching it, I imagined how nice it would be to meet you one day and speak a few words in Finnish. Then I realized that I forgot what I learned. That made me sad, so I started practicing Finnish again to pick up the basics again 🙂

because of the corona-virus i also rented a garden for 1 year and planted a lot of veggies and fruits. I am in Germany and it's getting cold right now but i have enough canned veggies to get through the winter. Keep the hard work guys. In the roughest conditions you took a broken house and a piece of land and you created a piece of paradise. After you leave i believe the people over there will miss you a lot. Your travel and your life is inspiring. You are the absolute minimalists but you are still happy and creative and you really live my dream. I hope one day i am able to follow you footsteps. Stay healthy and happy!!

I was waiting for veggies harvesting since you have sown seeds, now happy to see guys harvesting good amount and variety of veggies. That vegetable (mystery veg) may be the muskmelon. In beetroot there may be some fungal infection. Your journey around the World is inspirational. You are the perfect example, that one can survive with minimum resources. Lots of love from India.

For a random speech in my class I chose travelling and I noted Nomads trails as my current favourite one. Lots of love from India ❤️

Carrots and beets do not grow well in heavy, clay soil or in soil with a crust on its top. Heavy soil prevents young carrot and beet roots from growing larger. Both kinds of plants perform best in loose, well-drained, sandy or loamy soil. If your garden's soil is heavy or forms a surface crust, then cover the seeds with a 1/8-inch-deep layer of commercial potting soil, vermiculite or sawdust. That material will help keep the seeds moist without forming a crust.
And If you're having trouble with weeds growing around plants. I recommend mulching the spaces. It not only stops weeds from invading but also protects the soil and stores water for a while. Use dried decaying leaves. They also provide nutrients to the soil.
