Application for General Kálatar General Kálatar was born into the noble lineage of the Numenoreans, the descendants of Elros, the first king of the island of Numenor. From a young age, Kálatar displayed exceptional skill in both diplomacy and warfare, earning him recognition among his peers and the respect of his superiors. Raised in the city of Armenelos, the capital of Numenor, Kálatar was groomed for leadership. He excelled in the arts of swordsmanship and strategy, honing his abilities under the tutelage of the kingdom's most esteemed warriors. As he grew older, Kálatar's reputation as a brilliant tactician spread throughout Numenor. His leadership on the battlefield was unmatched, and his ability to inspire loyalty among his troops was legendary. It was said that even in the darkest of times, Kálatar's presence alone was enough to bolster the spirits of his soldiers. Despite his prowess in battle, Kálatar was also known for his wisdom and compassion. He believed in justice and fairness, and he always sought to minimize the suffering of innocents caught in the midst of conflict. During the tumultuous times leading up to the downfall of Numenor, Kálatar remained steadfast in his loyalty to the throne. However, as the corruption of Sauron spread throughout the kingdom, Kálatar found himself torn between his allegiance to his people and his duty to the king. In the final days of Numenor, Kálatar made a fateful decision. Recognizing the madness that had consumed the king and many of his advisors, Kálatar led a faction of loyal Numenorean soldiers in a desperate attempt to oppose the dark forces that threatened to engulf their homeland. (No idea how he should be earnt? Leave that to others to decide)
This isn't in keeping with the rules of the competition, but I had an idea for the missions for obtaining the generals being linked to capturing each of the old great havens of Numenor (Lond Daer, Pelargir and Umbar) could be a nice themey mission for them trying to regain Numenor's old empire in Middle Earth.

When Gimilkhad's invasion fleet landed, the Ar Adunaim in diaspora began to flock toward this newly minted kingdom. Eldamir, whose family had already lived in the vicinity for decades, was somewhat pleased to have more people to talk to in his cradle tongue, but he was admittedly a bit too young to take up arms, and showed little predilection to do so in the event that the wars still raged when he came of age, preferring instead the promise of a quiet life on his family's farm, or perhaps on one of his own. The wars, however, neither stopped nor lessened in intensity. Locals answered the call for mercenaries, ready to sell their lives for the prosperity of their families in this new Adunaic society, and descendants of Numenor took up arms in droves to defend their new state. The enemies of the realm pressed in, threatening the very seat of power itself. A royal messenger arrived in Eldamir's village and read off a decree of draft. If the peasants failed to supply thirty men, their taxes would be doubled the next year in scutage. Grinding his teeth at the choice that lay before his neighbors, Eldamir did not hesitate, but thrust himself forward from the crowd. Knowing that opposition would only heap worse punishments upon their heads, he volunteered. Seeing his example, others followed, and soon his village had supplied half again the required number. Receiving their instructions from the royal messenger, they set off the next morning with pack ponies and food, but armed only with improvised sidearms, having been promised gear upon arrival, and ill able to muster proper weaponry. In the camp of Gimilzor, the peasants were kitted out in some of the worst panoply the army could supply, and Eldamir was named their sergeant due to his Numenorian ancestry, as well as the sway he held over the group. Less than five miles from the capital, the enemy bore down on the prince's shoddily reinforced legion. Over a thousand local recruits had been pressganged in the same way, and at royal command they arrayed themselves on a shallow hill behind a river crossing. As the enemy came upon them, both sides shot their shots and bled their blood. The shield-walls met, and the cavalry dueled on the flanks. The levies wavered and shook, but for a time they held firm. With every arrow spent, Gimilzor took to the melee, only to find himself facing an armor-piercing foe (because every faction has those), and flanked by cavalry (because despite this being Middle Earth, every faction also has those). The prince was a bold fighter, but numbers and luck were against him, and perhaps with this being narration rather than gameplay he might have been facing a wizened opponent as well. His bodyguard was slain almost to a man, and with little hope persisting, he turned and fled. Seeing their general flee, the levies broke, one after another, following their prince in his quest for life. The veterans, however, held on for a time, and as Eldamir had not been ordered to commit his tiny regiment, he held them back. There, his friends and neighbors witnessed firsthand the horrors of war, and many of them began to rethink their decisions to answer the call to arms. Looking to their officer, however, and seeing that he had not thrown them needlessly into the sanguine morass, they were heartened to feel that he would not lightly cast aside their lives. The Adunaic veterans ground their foes to an oozing pulp, but they themselves lay battered and bleeding in the quagmire churned up by their struggle. When the enemy cavalry came upon them, they were eradicated, the tithes of their regiments born down to muddy graves by the hooves of jeering horsemen. "Your turn, peasants," called the enemy general. "There flies your lordling. Surrender now if you wish to live." "To the abyss with you," Eldamir called back, in the man's own tongue. "I'm going home after this, but if I turn my back and flee, you'll run me down like a sheep." "That's right, I will," shouted the enemy captain. "Then it seems to me that the only way we both leave this field alive is if you are the one to run away." Seeing that the battle hung in the balance, and his ignoble foe could not be intimidated, the horseman spat blood upon the earth, raised his scarlet blade, and commissioned the charge. Horses are often smarter than the men who ride them when it comes to spears. The battered and bloodied unit that had routed a prince and slain his kinsmen plowed heedlessly to their destiny. The villagers, who had stood fresh throughout the battle, looked to their leader and felt that with him at their head even they could stand up to the noblest and cruelest riders their foes could muster. Three minutes later, fifteen of them were dead, and a man Eldamir had known since childhood presented him with the head of the enemy captain. Four of his retinue escaped, fleeing for their lives with all the speed they could spur from their steeds. Thereafter, Gimilzor had no choice but to promote the man who had turned his debacle into a desperate victory. It was said in certain circles forever after that no man in the realm despised another quite so much as did the prince this peasant who had upstaged him. Had that been the final battle of the era, Eldamir might have had a mandatory career to look forward to without the prospect of further glory, sitting at a table with parchment and ink for the rest of his long life. Unfortunately for the jealous prince, there would be no end to the battles ahead, nor to Eldamir's chances and necessities to cover himself in glory. His own regiment remained with him, and though he took care to upgrade their gear and train them thoroughly, he never sought out mounts for them. With bile on his tongue had he first left his comfortable little village, and with scorn would he ever look upon the colonizers who had invaded a land to which he considered himself to owe much more than he did to a vanished island three millennia vanished. When, years later, he was placed in command of his own legion, Eldamir made these promises to his men, many of which were still comprised of conscripted locals and green boys without the sense to death lurking behind the guise of glory: "Whether you serve dutifully or shamelessly desert our king, I will do all in my power to send you home alive. Every man among you will be my brother and will share my meals, my lodgings, my council. I will never, howsoever long I live or whatsoever fate befall us, wear or seek to wear a crown, nor to look upon you from the vantage of a horse or of a throne. These oaths I make to you upon that which I hold most sacred: my faith that peace is the only thing worth fighting for." His bodyguard is comprised of Belegaer Spearmen (or whatever the lowest tier of spearmen is for the faction), and his stats make him the ultimate morale boost. Snaga wouldn't route if they're near him, and he comes with a one-use ability that temporarily multiplies his bodyguard's attack modifier and defensive skill by two or three. His campaign statistics include a huge healing boost so he recovers more losses after victory, and his spearmen have two hit-points (if possible). The conditions for recruiting him should be that he will be your first man of the hour, unless that's too complicated, in which case it should be losing any region, unless that's too complicated, in which case it should be conquering any three. Moreover, while he can be adopted into the family tree, if he becomes the faction leader he should immediately die, unless there's a way to make him just not be applicable as faction leader. That may all be too complicated, though, in which case just do as the spirit moves you to.
Castârion the "Golden" For a young Castârion, the world was nothing but a ramshackle village of fishermen far to the south along the windbeaten, arid coasts of Far Harad. He would look out either into the endless oceans to his west or into the dunes of the eternal deserts to his east and dream of the vibrant lands of forests and pastures passing traders would often speak of. For Castârion, life was simply survival - from hunger, from enslavement, from sword, and from ash. To dream was but that; a dream. He was always a man of few words, but when your entire life is moulded in the desolation offered by sand, sea, and the haunting spectre of ancestral infinity, there is not much more to say that time has not already said. When Castârion reached adulthood, like many of his kin, he joined a crew of corsairs. His mother, to whom Castârion loved deeply, begged for him to stay, but there was simply too much out there to see, and so he left for Umbar. For the next twenty years he sailed across every inch of water in the Sundering Seas, raiding coastlines up and down Middle-Earth and beyond. In time, he became a revered corsair captain. When word reached him of a resurgent Black Númenórean vanguard mustering once again, Castârion was quick to enlist. He quickly became part of the new professional standing army of the King's Men. His cohort would make landfall in Middle-Earth, this time not simply to raid, but rather to conquer, to settle, to reclaim. Now, clad in gold, a man respected and feared in equal measure, Castârion has found himself in the vibrant lands of which he once could only dream. Yet, despite all that has happened and all that he has seen, all he can think about is the fishing village. After all, to the blind gold means nothing. -As a custom general he should be of course an absolute beast of a commander, but should have some traits like Introvert, Aesthetic, Stoic, Secretive etc from base vanilla M2TW to sort of fit this description I've given him, or any other custom traits that would add to this -Should have a unit of Royal Legion of Armenelos as his bodyguard unit -Is unlockable if you capture Umbar
so by conquering Annuminas you unlock Castarion. Castarion was born (in numenorean years) 2930 of the third age (50 years before 2980) to a family of Numenorean supremacists. Hearing about the ancient Numenorean empire ruling all lands between the blue mountains and misty mountains up north, striding into Enedwaith, Rohan, Rhovannia and Gondor and even how the Numenorean descendant Gondorians ruled much of Harad and Mordor he felt pride. He Castarion believed in the racial superiority of the Numenorean race over that of other men, believing that Numenoreans are the wisest of men, not to wild like dwarves or held back and cowardly like elves. Viewing the destiny of Numenoreans to reunite their race under the pure Adunaim and that any Adunaim with mix haradrim blood, or any Gondorian or Arnorian of mix Numenorean and indigenous blood, is still superior to those of no numenorean ancestry but not as refined as his supposedly pure blood. Though arrogant in his supremacism, holds no hatred towards other human races. Merely servants for a class system. But hates the Orcs for being unintelligent and barbaric, disdains Dwarves for being too greedy and have no honor, with technological potential but too lazy to develop technology with their wealth, and respects the lore and knowledge of elves but feel they don't utilize their immortality to teach lesser races or to civilize other men or to use their wisdom. Castarion believes his race will civilize all other human cultures and that from miscegenation, eventually Numenoreans will dilute and outbreed the lesser folk and become more Numenorean in blood and lineage. In his personal beliefs of Numenorean supremacism he funds architects, poets, musicians, and historians who grow to defining Numenorean culture, he sponsors assimilation projects and reclamation projects of numenorean ruins, and to Numenoreanize the indigenous humans. His bonuses as a captain into your army is increased public order and assimilation, and cheaper prices in building anything in a city with Numenorean heritage (Example Osgiliath, Minas Morgul, or Minas Tirith or Fornost) Custom bodyguard: Numenorean cohort
I'm happy for you man when Kiv and i had a chat about adding them him and some others in the team loved the idea as a easter egg but to the part you asked for: Eldâmîr was a poor surf on in one of the colonies of Numenor, he worked hard no mater the task and always loved seeing the marching men of the Numenorian remanent when the local lord needed to quell a rebellion or two. when Eldâmîr was pressed into a uniform and sent to the front he was the only one there who didn't dream of home instead his dreams were filled with glory. After serving for 12 years he had earned the respect he dreamed of when he was younger, and had finally become one of the marching men he watched as a child. when Ar Gimil-khad and his sons rallied men for a great reclamation in middle earth Eldâmîr was one of the first on the ships and his skill caught the eye of Gimil-khad's eldest son landing him a position as one of Gimilzor's lieutenants. body guard: numinorian cohort .quest: take 20 settlements or Alcfud
Personally I believe that the legendary trio should be brothers, or maybe Gimilkhad's or Gimilzor's bastard sons. I think they should be implemented like this as Kalatar is the more evil of the three, Eldamir is the more good-natured of the three, and Castarion is a neutral character that keeps the brother's in line. Castarion would be the oldest of the three followed by Eldamir, then Kalatar being the youngest. I also think they should be implemented as three great generals with extra unit detachments scattered across Middle-Earth they were sent ahead to scout for the Numenoreans before they landed on Middle-Earth. Castarion's unit should be either the Pharazim swordmaster units or the golden bows unit, since he is the golden. Kalatar's unit should be a darker unit maybe a Temple Ward unit or the khand assassin unit something to make him more of a shadow character Eldamir's unit should should be a high defense stalwart unit I think either the Alcarondas legion or Alcarondas faithful
Castarion the golden. He was born on numenor in 1233 of second age. He was sent to serve as soldiers in wars against the witch king of angmar. He slain the grate searpent of the north and took golden skin off her boady and used it as decoration for his armor in the future battles. Soon his grateness for comand was seen and he soon bacame capitan of numenorian army He was given the comand of annuminas and he held angmars forces for 2 years He then managed to escape to tharbad and from tharbad he left for numenor where he was discrased and demoted to rangs of ordinary footman To unlock Castarion the golden take annuminas Unit : sons of Nummenor
Had commented back in Ep10 about the possibility of selling Bhaille to Dunland in exchange for alliance. Well... Why the main push for Rhawburg instead of Mornedhel? The former is much harder to defend on a short term, since it's a town, and garrisoned Ilanin can stave off attacks rather well, being a stronghold. The latter is a much better strategic choice - it is much more economically lucrative (mines and roads), it is Dorwinion's key recruitment center east of Logarth (large city!) and it secures Sant Annui, which allows safe economy and military growth. Do be aware that the changes in the western front might require some military restructures. Ranged is the key in dealing with your enemies there since Enedwaith is (temporarily) out of the game, as both Dunland and Isengard don't do nearly as well on that aspect. Melee meat grinds are at your disadvantage (Isengard has heavy troops and Dunland has wide access to cost-effective AP).
Hello, my friend. I expected that you would be attacked by Isenguard and Dunland, but not so soon... In any case, it's only a minor setback, you'll counter them with a good force. It's very good that you go for Balorn and afterwards into Gondor, so as to get some goodies from there and encircle Isenguard. About Dunland, your strategy is a good one, to exalt from the east and get them on the north bank of Gwathlo, so that you can get the defense in Morlond and atttack from any other side. The eastern kingdom is also in a good shape, better than the western one, as you actually go on the offensive and push Dorwinion back. Surely Mornedhel is a very good city to have and the King goes into Rhovannion, where his strong army will prevail over the scattered garrisons of the area -I believe that Dorwinion has most of its power south of you, if I judge from the hits in Sant Annui and Carvarad. Your economy takes the hit of your recruits, however with the press you get from the attacks it is necessary. Though some advancements in the infrastructure can be done, especially in military buildings in places that are under threat. Lastly, I could write a biography for the immortal generals, though I like more those that I see underside! Have a nice time.
I have some idea and maybe inspiration for those who are capable of writing a biography: specifically for the requirements of getting these generals in the game. They could be great Numenorean leaders of their own mercenary/rover groups which are operating in different places of Middle Earth. You could obtain their allegiance by conquering some (maybe 3 to 4) regions in a specific area. These areas could then be the known Numenorean areas of the South (near Umbar), Gondor and Arnor. They would join you with their bodyguard and some specific units of these regions.
Taking Elderlonde should be like a trigger for the mission to gain them. Perhaps an event pops up speaking of three great numenorian warriors who survived the siege of the city. As king of numenor you now have to court these great warriors into your personal retinue with a series of objectives
They should implement the script that's in AGO that spawns a custom general when you build a brotherhood of true sons at a faction's capital. That one is super fun because it gives you a reward for conquering a faction. Maybe these generals can be named after the 3 vets.
Kala tar was born into a long line of successful men, his father serves as king Gimilkhads personal bodyguard. His two older brothers have become well known throughout the nations. His brother Mūndamir has become a renowned diplomat securing alliances and peace throughout the kingdom Determined to get out of his brother’s shadow’s and make a name for himself Kala tar pledge his allegiance to prince Gimilzor Kala tar was garrisoned at Eldalondë when word reached them that a sizable force lead by Captain Atháirne and Captain Taraghlan were marching towards Eldalondë. On that momentous day Kala tar was patrolling the battlements when the great army of Enedwaith arrived. The army moved over the hills like a great wave. Kala tar and some men stared at the host before them. A wicked, bloodthirsty smile grew across Kala tar’s face, he marched down the battlements and approached his men. “ warriors today is the day we make history, our names will echo through out this great nation, blood will flow this day, today the kingdom of Enedwaith will crumble into dust and the great kingdom of Adunaphel will rise from its ashes”. The gates burst into splinters and the Enedwaith army poured through, Kala tar hefted his battle axe and with his men by his side he charged into the fray. Prince Gimilzor arrived with a reinforcing army and pleased to see his banners still flew above the city, he rode into the city and found Kala tar blood crusted onto his face, blood dripping from his axe standing over hundreds of butchered bodies. Prince Gimilzor dismounted his horse and bowed before Kala tar. Cheers erupted from the warriors. For his prowess and courage Kala tar was given his own legion and the title of Kala tar butcher of the East. Version 2 will be the Chad Version, that's so much fun if you cancel the alliance with Mordor wouldn't make it easier to ally with Gondor? i don't know how the diplomacy work in this mod to be honest, but isn't the fact that Mordor is our Ally the biggest reason we can't ally with Gondor

When, years later, he was placed in command of his own legion, Eldamir made these promises to his men, many of which were still comprised of conscripted locals and green boys without the sense to death lurking behind the guise of glory:
"Whether you serve dutifully or shamelessly desert our king, I will do all in my power to send you home alive. Every man among you will be my brother and will share my meals, my lodgings, my council. I will never, howsoever long I live or whatsoever fate befall us, wear or seek to wear a crown, nor to look upon you from the vantage of a horse or of a throne. These oaths I make to you upon that which I hold most sacred: my faith that peace is the only thing worth fighting for."
His bodyguard is comprised of Belegaer Spearmen (or whatever the lowest tier of spearmen is for the faction), and his stats make him the ultimate morale boost.
Castârion the "Golden"
For a young Castârion, the world was nothing but a ramshackle village of fishermen far to the south along the windbeaten, arid coasts of Far Harad.
-As a custom general he should be of course an absolute beast of a commander, but should have some traits like Introvert, Aesthetic, Stoic, Secretive etc from base vanilla M2TW to sort of fit this description I've given him, or any other custom traits that would add to this
-Should have a unit of Royal Legion of Armenelos as his bodyguard unit
-Is unlockable if you capture Umbar
so by conquering Annuminas you unlock Castarion.
But hates the Orcs for being unintelligent and barbaric,
disdains Dwarves for being too greedy and have no honor, with technological potential but too lazy to develop technology with their wealth,
and respects the lore and knowledge of elves but feel they don't utilize their immortality to teach lesser races or to civilize other men or to use their wisdom.
His bonuses as a captain into your army is increased public order and assimilation, and cheaper prices in building anything in a city with Numenorean heritage (Example Osgiliath, Minas Morgul, or Minas Tirith or Fornost)
Custom bodyguard: Numenorean cohort
I am hoping for some good ideas! Lets see what people have in store ♥️
I'm happy for you man when Kiv and i had a chat about adding them him and some others in the team loved the idea as a easter egg but to the part you asked for:
Eldâmîr was a poor surf on in one of the colonies of Numenor, he worked hard no mater the task and always loved seeing the marching men of the Numenorian remanent when the local lord needed to quell a rebellion or two. when Eldâmîr was pressed into a uniform and sent to the front he was the only one there who didn't dream of home instead his dreams were filled with glory.
This has been a great ride, watching all the homies creating lore in the comments demonstrates the shared joy. Keep it up!
Put 2-3 spys to each cetelment. Culture multiplyes with more spys you have in each setelment. For example. 5 spys is like 20% culture per turn
Kalatar's unit should be a darker unit maybe a Temple Ward unit or the khand assassin unit something to make him more of a shadow character
Eldamir's unit should should be a high defense stalwart unit I think either the Alcarondas legion or Alcarondas faithful
I love this idea
@@Ligizd I went a little based off of your intro of the legendary trio in the previous video hopefully it gets a lot of attention.
Ive seen many close battles on your channel. You were scaring me on the first battle. But i never lost faith
Also legend of TW claims loose formation archers are less accurate
Castarion the golden.
He was born on numenor in 1233 of second age. He was sent to serve as soldiers in wars against the witch king of angmar. He then managed to escape to tharbad and from tharbad he left for numenor where he was discrased and demoted to rangs of ordinary footman
To unlock Castarion the golden take annuminas
Unit : sons of Nummenor
I think you might need to turtle up a bit on the western kingdom. Get the economy up then go south and help Gondor with Isengard.
Bhaille was always pretty vulnerable, at least the stronghold of Zadar Belegaer will be a far better chokepoint for Dunland to break on
I have some idea and maybe inspiration for those who are capable of writing a biography: specifically for the requirements of getting these generals in the game.
Maybe these generals can be named after the 3 vets.
great timing 🍰
Kala tar was born into a long line of successful men, his father serves as king Gimilkhads personal bodyguard. His two older brothers have become well known throughout the nations.
His brother rose through the navy and has become Admiral Aldamir (Bane of the sea.)
His brother Mūndamir has become a renowned diplomat securing alliances and peace throughout the kingdom
Determined to get out of his brother’s shadow’s and make a name for himself Kala tar pledge his allegiance to prince Gimilzor
Kala tar was garrisoned at Eldalondë when word reached them that a sizable force lead by Captain Atháirne and Captain Taraghlan were marching towards Eldalondë.
Men, Elves, Dwarfs, Orcs and Goblins they will all fall before him
Conditions( with Eldalondë under your control you must destroy 5 armies completely leaving no survivors and one unit of Alcarondas legionnaires must be in your army)
Bodyguard Melkor’s executioners equipped with battle axes and little stronger than the standard executioners
Version 2 will be the Chad Version, that's so much fun
if you cancel the alliance with Mordor wouldn't make it easier to ally with Gondor? i don't know how the diplomacy work in this mod to be honest, but isn't the fact that Mordor is our Ally the biggest reason we can't ally with Gondor
You should attach them to a territory.
its great!
Unlock general commander ligizd the great. AP javelin horse unit, missile damage 15, charge of 24, melee attack of 12, effective against horse units, 10 shield , 30 defense 7 armor, 3 hit points. Unit size of 69. 😅
