- This is another RARE Christmas movie. This is part of a trilogy that is impossible to find. This is the 2nd film of the trilogy. Please see my other videos for the 1st and 3rd.
Peter Falk is featured in the trilogy of Christmas TV movies in which he plays Max, the underestimated angel that works to bring people together for the holiday.
All three movies are uplifting Christmas stories that include the angel Max who usually takes on several guises to provide the main characters the support and encouragement they need to do the right thing. There's usually a touch of magic and the feeling of fate's hand guiding people in the right direction. Falk's Max is eccentric, all-knowing and persistent--not unlike Columbo. It's a real treat to see his familiar face and his way of doing what he does best--in these feel-good holiday stories.
The second in the series of three films is 2003's Finding John Christmas which stars Valerie Bertinelli. In this story, a photojournalist snaps a photo of an anonymous man, down on his luck at the holiday, which runs in the local newspaper.
Kathleen, played by Bertinelli, recognizes the photo as her long lost brother and contacts the journalist. The public is moved by the photo in the newspaper and there’s a movement to find the stranger in the photo labeled ‘John Christmas.' Unfortunately, he doesn’t want to be found.
I recommend "A Town without Christmas" movie, "Finding John Christmas" movie, and "When Angels Come to Town" movie. I am so glad to have watch these wonderful movies that features Peter Falk as an angel. It will put you in the holiday mood.

@@KevsGuide There is one more movie called a Town without Christmas. These movies all have Peter Falk as an angel named Max. I don't know if it is a trilogy. You can watch one movie by it self or all three. The movies aired in 2001, 2002 and so on. I just like them all.

This is the only movie I've every seen that deals with the topic of survivor's guilt. They managed to do it with taste while confronting a problem that is too often overlooked. Bravo!!!

I needed this movie today! Some of the actors in this film are still alive today, some not, yet even from their graves, the later are still blessing someone through their acting. Me! Has anyone else taken note of the fact that though the inestimable Peter Falk had a physical aspect that was not 'perfect' (his slightly crossed eyes), which didn't fit the Hollywood conformist mode of 'handsome', yet he worked with his craft to use that very aspect to engage his audience and endear himself to generations? Talk about taking a lemon and making lemonade! Gosh, I wish I could have been his friend. From all accounts of people whose lives brushed up against his, he was, and is, a Prince among men. Thank you for posting such a tribute to Peter. I also thank Valerie Bertinelli and William Russ (a HUGELY unrecognized consummate storyteller ---- the fireman), for their pitch-perfect portrayals.

I love this trilogy of films. This one with Valerie Bertinelli is really great. And of course, Peter Falk, who is in all three movies is the best!! This tribute to fire fighters was excellent.

Just watched this 2nd of his movies here and what a tear jerker. So much one can relate to and the acting was great. Loved this man since Coloumbo. We watched ass a family and I watched reruns over the years. He is definatly of an era gone by when we had movies that we could really relate to and people still had genuine emotions. thank you for this heartwarming movie. On to the next one. Why?????? Why are they covering the dog with an American flag???? It's all over the ground and very disrespectful. I'm sure it's a lovely story, however this veteran strongly perceives they could have used anything else to warm the dog, but not an American flag.

These are such delightful movies. Thank you so much for uploading. Peter Falk simply makes the movie in each of them. Any other actor would have fallen short, but he keeps the movie together.
I am so glad that I found this movie again! When I was younger, I had recorded this off of t.v., but of course the VHS players are virtually obsolete now and I haven't seen it on DVD anywhere. PurpleStilettos how is that even possible in an age where information is at your fingertips 24/7 with retired cops and military turned PIs out the wazoo and where 50% of the teen population can hack the FBI???? - put those sexy hot purple "do me" pumps on and GET TO SEARCHING!!!!!! Someone, somewhere knows SOMETHING that will put you on the right path - my mother lost touch with a friend she had back in 1960 and in 1995, 35 years later, knowing nothing but her husbands last name in 1960 and last place of residence (NW FL) I found her in another state (W VA), remarried under a new name in UNDER 3 hours and all it cost me was my time on a computer and on the phone. A close friend had searched for her birth father for 30 years and all she knew was he was a biker that ran with the Outlaws the last she knew anything (her birth mother could only recall his first name and the approximate year she had last hear he was eith the Outlaws) - it took us about a week to find out that he had been killed in a drug deal gone sideways - and it took that long because they operate with burn phones and largely off the grid so we had to go visit their clubhouses (THAT was interesting but they were VERY respectful and kind - I'm old enough to be their grandmother and I was really impressed with how polite they were and how hard they tried to watch their language) -- just DIG IN with what you have - hit the genealogy websites, contact EVERYONE who might have known him, nobody just vanishes unless someone (or they themselves) WANT them vanished .... and that IS a possibility. GOOD LUCK AND HAPPY HUNTING
deborah wood hi deborah...thank you. i wish our case happened in such a way so we can have our closure but my father was on board a container/cargo ship from china going to south korea and got lost in the middle of the ocean. Some of his crew's bodies were found headless and already in a decomposition stage. The company owners were japanese and didn't cooperate much like we would expect to. We're hoping his story will end up like that of Captain Philips instead of us waiting in vain.

wow, so many negative comments about the movie. ( The hospital) I've had my bad experiences with hospitals and ERs but wouldn't bad mouth a movie because of it. The story is more about love, forgiveness of self, and family

I recorded this from CBS as it originally aired in 2003 just to watch it. I liked it so much that I’ve kept it. I had it transferred to DVD. In this movie, in my opinion, Valerie Bertinelli is one of the most beautiful women I’ve ever seen! I recognized William Russ from Blossom, and Dave Cubitt from the short lived “Turks”

This is a wonderful movie I loved Peter Falk he is one of the best. I met him many years ago in San Francisco a very charming individual. Someone I will always remember with fondness.
