Ok, Ive watched like 100+ videos on canon lenses in the past few years and I'm gonna make a couple of points here: 1. Whoever has 18-55mm kit lens MUST watch this video with pen and a paper to note down the perfect fstop value for the best images. 2. The IS is underrated. At least what I did was threw my kit lens ( ofc due to the bad image in the photography community) and always used prime lens with no IS. This kit lens for what it comes with is Great. 3. I never knew about Macro extension and I was watching your 75-300mm lens review where you presented some of the images. You sir deserve all the praise for all the work you did on your channel. I am going through the videos you've uploaded and tbh, I'm in awe of the information you've provided in those short time. Words cant thank you enough for the work you do here. Cheers!! Appreciate the video! I'm a Nikon guy, and recently found a used Nikon DX 3400 that came with this 18-55mm lens, and I love the compact size and super sharpness! Another advantage is using it on a full-frame Nikon with a 25-85 lens cropped perspective and I'm LOVING that as well...Thanks for your lens review...
Extremely good review. Use of "Kit Lens" term can give impression of "typical throwaway item" or "junk included in all you need bundle" I was thinking of buying a Rebel T7 body and a nifty-50 prime lens. But will probably use the included 18-55mm kit zoom lens for my casual photography needs. Wish the lenses for my old Minolta SRT-101 worked with the Rebel T7.
Love the video ! Just picked up a secondhand camera that came with this lens. I was wondering if you could make a video using this exact lense with extension tubes for macro photography ? It’s be nice to see what shutter speed, aperture, and ISO you use. Thank you !!

@charlessands3458 hit the (+) symbol on the bottom of the YT app and than swipe to the left at the very bottom when it pulls up your videos to upload a short, it’s there you just need to swipe
Sure but that also depends on what focal length you are shooting at, 18-35mm you should be able to stand pretty close ( probably within 3-6 ft away ) and get everything in frame

You can definitely buy an adapter for old lenses that’s how I use my old Pentax K mount glass

The version of this lens that I have is the II (two), but it doesn't have image stabilization.

I took a photo but this damned app won't let me share anything but videos so I don't know what the hell to do.

Can this lens fit in frame a 5 person family without needing to move away to fit then in frame?

My 18-55 does not have IS.
You more then likely have an older version ( possibly )
@@JordanHandwerker: I am in Tennessee, and my camera has the European name plate (2000D), not Rebel T7. Perhaps that is the reason.
