Unfortunately it really depends on what you’re looking for in terms of photo video, this one is nice because of its size but only has a full frame equivalent of 24mm-70mm, the 4K and 1080 are good on this but if you’re looking for more telephoto capabilities I’d go with the G7X, not many 3rd options but I feel the Sony will have better video in the long run if that’s your main focus.

@@TheAgentAssassin I use it on a daily basis, battery life seems to have declined over the course of a year but it’s still as fast as it was when I bought it, but I don’t do much gaming, mostly photo and video editing

Kinda hard to understand what you’re talking about at this point? The 8mm fisheye lens which I’ve done a review on has a detachable lens hood, this lens has a fixed lens hood, what are you getting at?

@@theraditz I will say the stock ones sounded good too! I had replaced the bridge with a Gotoh and the tuners with Schaller tuners and Dunlop strap locks, as well as the pickguard

@@Spooky0910 I ordered mine from Warmoth, although you can probably find them with others, like Alan Corona or WDmusic

Multiple reasons, they test the drone in an environment where the terrain is probably very flat or they test the range where the terrain drops down so there are no obstructions, little to no wind conditions, clear line of sight will get you a lot further than an area that has homes, trees, WiFi and electrical interference

When you have batteries in the unit that aren’t completely dead, so you swap out one battery before it dies so you can keep recording

I have not had any issues with the printer, I would contact Canon with your issue

@@JordanHandwerker R5, i have 3 other L lens, 24-70, 70-200 and 100 - 500. I had not experienced any noticeable image problems till this lens. Problem is at 15mm not at 20 or 30mm.

I also have the R5 and didn’t experience any vignette other than what was tested, you may want to send it into canon

No doubt about it, the SD MM sounds much crisper and more punchy, but I will mention the stock Squier pickups isn’t terrible as long as you keep the Volume and Tone at 10

As long as you keep your shutter speed fast enough 1/250 or faster than you shouldn’t have an issue with sharpness, as long as your adapter is Canon, I would assume cheaper adapters may lack in the speed next to a canon adapter. I would say if you can find a cheap used version of this lens than go for it! I have definitely seen people use it for sports photography. The AF should be good enough for running subjects, as I have used this lens on drift/car tracks

I’ve been toying with the idea, unfortunately I have to refinish it, after this video was made I noticed more imperfections with the paint so I currently have it sanded down getting prepped for paint

It depends on what lenses you’re using, if you’re strictly using EF-M lenses you’ll need to find an extension tube for the EF-M lenses, if you’re using EF or EF-S lenses you’ll need a canon EF to EF-M adapter on top of the extension tube as the smaller APS-C Mirrorless using Mirrored glass ( EF or EF-S ) needs space from the sensor to the lens to focus correctly

Unfortunately I have not had the opportunity to test the Tamron lens yet, but I will say Tamrons lenses are just about as sharp as the Canon lenses if not on par with sharpness. The f/4 is an older lens now so I will say this. Whatever your budget is I would stay within those parameters, if the Tamron lens is used and you’re looking to buy it as long as it isn’t too expensive compared to a Used Canon 24-70 f/4, I would ultimately go with Tamron

@@JordanHandwerker Allright, thank you so much for your input! I can't really find any direct comparisons between the two, but am currently leaning towards the tamron indeed. I will definitely buy it used. And then it shall be around 650€, whereas the canon f4 would we around €450 used in my area. So it's about a 200€ price difference.

Not on a static tripod, you could use it on a star tracker if you wanted to

@@JordanHandwerker a star tracker is not required but the biggest issue would be the chromatic aberration and and distortions. My normal lens for AP is actually one I built myself that has a 127mm aperture and 700mm focal length, it's not perfect but it only has chromatic issues. I think the optics in this video might be more for very wide field stuff or maybe moon and some planetary. But that's my opinion with the experience I have had with the 18-55 and my own lens.

@@deltacx1059 a star track is required to use this lens and get good results, the focal length and aperture are too narrow to let in enough light without getting star trailing. I believe @AstroBackyard made a video about it on his UA-cam channel

@@JordanHandwerker I don't have experience with that exact lens but I did use my brother's vivitar 420-800mm and it seemed to work well on the brighter objects like the moon, Saturn and Orion nebula. I don't own a tracker. Not trying to be mean about anything but his standard of good is kinda out there, no beginner to the hobby is going to shell out the money for a device that costs as much as entry level cameras unless they are already rich, yes it's harder without a tracker but I assure you it is doable with ok results without a tracker.

@@deltacx1059 it’s not really doable for deep sky objects without a star tracker as any lens with a narrower aperture f/2.8 or smaller will not capture enough light at longer telephoto focal lengths without star trailing. Even if you only set your shutter speed at 1” and your iso at 10,000 you’ll still get star trailing especially at longer focal lengths. Trust me, I know this first hand
