I wanted to ask, how hard is it pairing a turbo with the 2.5, abd what other mods did you do to it? I have an escape with the 2.5 duratec, and ive been wanting to get some power to it since its one of the easiest engines to add some more to
Not hard, but I would not advise turbocharging a stock 2.5L. They have almost no ring gap from the factory and won't handle much boost without cracking ring lands.
It's a BorgWarner EFR7163 turbo, Ecoboost 2.3 crank in a 2.5 block. Esslinger forged pistons, Manley rods, Fab9 ultra head studs and a Haltech Elite ECU.
@@johnvitamvas6557I didn’t realize the ecoboost cranks swapped in these. Did you need to shim the flywheel? Special bearings? What transmission are you running?
Just watched the final 3rounds replay and WOW, what a performance! congrats John&Sam!
I love the transmission clunking (oval track memories) and the sound of spinny whooshing (turbski).

Is there any build thread on this car? curious about turbo specs and some other supporting mods.

@@DoneRightBicycles clutch and flywheel are custom. Standard Daido bearings. GForce GSR 4speed NASCAR take-off gearbox
what are the dyno numbers
Only around 400-420whp in this state of tune. Lots of headroom to safely add boost. Should be good for around 500whp
