Wow what a little jewel you found under all that mess. This is a superior restoration video. You clearly understand why all sorts of different people watch this type of video and you gracefully provide footage for all types of watchers. Nicely done. Beautiful job.

This takes me back. My grandfather did a lot of furniture restorations like this, especially after he retired. Your style is similar to his, preferring a shiny veneer combined with the natural beauty of the wood. Also, shout out to that 7-in-one painters' tool, one of the most useful tools ever invented. Everyone should have one in their toolbox.
First you need the eye to evaluate what's underneath all the gunk. Then LOTS of experience and patient hard work. The final result is nothing short of amazing.
It was a “fashion” to paint wood white to modernize it. Ive removed layers of white paint from some amazing master pieces with brass inlays & incredible wood grain patterns.
People are allowed to do whatever they like to their personal belongings while they own them. As long as it made them happy, then the item has served its purpose. And as you can see, these days, just about anything can be fixed or repaired. So now it gets to go on and make another person happy!
Amazing! I just don't understand painted furniture. I don't understand people who paint furniture🤷🏻♀️ It's so beautiful now that it's stripped back to the way it was intended. Bravo!! 🎉 15:02
@@Nick-zp3ub Worse than that, I was born in 68. My parents kept all that ugly junk into the 80s. I'm currently restoring a 1928 deco vanity table. I stripped 5 latex colors in multi layers to get to shellac, oil, shellac underneath all that. Finally reached beautiful quarter sawn oak and mahogany wood that is spectacular. Guess that mostly what I'm speaking on, but I don't care for any painted furniture. I stay away from pine anything. It's hideous
The paint stripping was very good. Very nice transformation/restoration to its natural beauty. I love the beauty of the woodgrain seen through the shellac. Nice replacement hardware too.
At first sight, I thought the piece was too cheap to invest effort in. However, once you pulled the top covering off, I realized I was wrong. Nice work! Thank you!

UA-cam sent your sight to me, because I watch several restoration videos. I am so glad that they did. I have never seen a dresser like this one, an am very impressed with how beautiful your restoration is. Thank you. I am now a subscriber.
I love that U found the beautiful wood under all that paint! I believe it's a baby dresser, which explains all the paint methinks. Loved learning a way 2 get stuck screws out. Thx. Ciao.
How dare you bring back the natural beauty of the wood😂. Looks beautiful I have very few painted furniture items in my home. My dad was a blind carpenter for many years my mom and I would help him with finishes( choice, truth, polish etc.)
Several years ago, I striped an old off white painted chest that was perfect first growth pine from Canada. Came out beautiful with a couple of coats of urethane.
Gracias, muchas gracias.
This was so well done. It's a real shame a lot of furniture is dumped but can understand it takes space, knowledge, lots of time and supplies to do this.
We found a little table for our kitchen, needed something smaller. We brought it home, spent days cleaning it because it was quite ornate on the pedestal base but it turned out stunning. We wanted chairs for it as well, found 4 and we are so proud of our hard work!
Looks mighty good for sure. Excellent work on the restoration and renewal. As for the piece itself, looks like a smaller furniture piece for a large washroom. Store folded towels and other washing accessories in. Possibly a front entrance station to hold the last grab things for leaving the house. Things like a smaller umbrella or shoe covers.
I can not tell you how happy it makes me that you left the wood its natural color. This is gorgeous!!
😀

That linoleum mat threw me through a loop, literally have never seen something like that before!
