Hi : Have a question, I need to do an elmo cake topper for my baby's bday cake but I don't know if I should do it in fondant or gum paste, what do you recomend? Thanks
I'd just like too say I love wilt on fondant but sometimes when I buy it from the store it has a dried out layer on the top😕. BUT I made a cactus with the like green and some orange icing spray and it's worked beautifully
If you run into this issue, I would suggest cutting off the dried out portion. You might be able to save your dry fondant by kneading in a few drops of water at a time to rehydrate it back to the right texture. I hope this helps! -Tiffany

It depends on the type of cake topper you are doing, if you'd like to make a figurine, you could do a combination of gum paste and fondant!
it all depends on how detailed it is
Very nice! ✌
Is the gum paste I.e. fondant edible if you put it on a cake? 🍰
Gum paste is edible, however, it dries very hard and is difficult to eat. Fondant is also edible and has a much softer texture.

Nice 👍
Soooooo clever
First! Cool!
Ok this is just a much longer way to get ombre fondant. Surely you can just add little balls of one colour to the other to get the desired effect.
Yeah you can 😅
