Million Dollar Bass

For the last 25 years, a bass fishing tournament has been held on the Mississippi River in Wabasha to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. It's structured differently than traditional fishing tournaments by prioritizing fundraising over angling prowess. Teams have a fundraising minimum, an accelerator prize, and boat order determined by donation amounts, and in 2023, the tournament hit a new record for fundraising dollars.
