I'm so excited to see a new strong player on the FBL market! Thank you for moving it forward, also thanks to RadioMaster - great company, I'm glad it entered the RC heli marked directly and with such great products.
Great stuff just moving from multi rotors into heli so this Radiomaster kit sounds right up my street ! Any chance of future set up videos with the TX16S please ?! 🙏
@@andyMSH700 if you have the non BT version you can acces the USB through the port on the side i/o I believe. I got a Nexus for my M4 max and it's great. Still flies loose since I haven't tuned. But it's a great unit overall
Jonas, great video, as always. I don't doubt that it will fly amazingly, but my only concern is that it does not have any additional ports. So flying it on a nitro or gasser is out of the question, and the backup system will require some kind of Y or power distribution.
13:45, really curious how you recorded the stick inputs then was able to re-play those movements on the screen since that is really cool to see!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for the great video! I love all the well thought out details like the safe plug connections. The design of this CNC case is just beautiful. If I compare it with my cheap looking Brain 2 plastic box looking like made for cheap earplugs, I have to say damm it! As I love fast cyclic and collective response on all my helis this will be something for me! All the fast reaction is only to be archived with ELRS?
It really is a great looking unit. Might get one for the m4 max I'm wanting to get. As far as erls goes, it's a amazing protocol. Great range, latency and option. (you can probably get a add-on module for your transmitter) but 90% of the pilots won't feel the deference in reaction speed. My frsky x20s with a archer rs or tdmx works with a latency of 4ms that's 250hz. The elrs system can go as low as 1ms 1000hz. Normally a slight lower amount is used for best signal strength. The difference seems huge on paper but it's already so fast it's barely (if at all) noticeable. At least not for us mere moral pilots 😂 lots of servos cap out at 333hz too. If I go the nexus route I'm coupling it with a frsky td-mx since that's what I'm already running. Happy flights!
@@RubenRC94 Thank you Ruben!! Go for the M4 Max! It's really a great heli and I am happy that I have the M4 and the M4 Max! I love both but they really fly very different! I am for sure the kind of pilot who will not really feel (and need) the difference! Happy flights and the time to so them!!
I am a man of science. I will change my opinion based on new information, and ELRS has very positively surprised me. Very easy and convenient to use, nothing like the picture some of my friends painted.
@@rexfpv One friend of mine in particular made it sound like an absolute nightmare that you need to sink hours upon hours into for even making it work at all. And I don't have the time to do that given all the other stuff I do. Now I know that flashing ELRS stuff is a matter of 60 seconds, and after that, it just works. Love it.
@Johnny31297 I originally put Spektrum in my M1, M2, and M4. Then, when I started FPV, I got a TX16S and realized ELRS was beyond measure better in every way. I was lucky and a friend taught me about it right off the bat!
Great presentation Jonas. I know you are insanely busy and tons of questions coming you way. I know you have been a spectrum person for a long while. Can you use a spectrum radio and the nexus system or do you have to use radiomaster tx16s radio. I know some time in the future you will have a setup video for all of us. Please with the setup show where servos go in the nexus system and how to number the cyclic servos to get them in the right place esc satellites to reduce newbie frustration. Will there be a model already set up with mixing done like a spectrum radio in the radiomaster so you dont have to deal with that during setup. I know this is a lot and i have known Owen Lee a long time i want to see this become the leader with people like you it will happen.
Just wonder why you need plug something to DSM port with only single cable ... what is the usage and reason why you do this ? because I saw some other NEXUS video and it also do the same setup ... thanks.
I got excited until I saw the size of it. I wanted to try rotorflight on my XK K110S. Bit big.😁 I'll just get a whoop all in 1 & give it a go. Be great if they brought out a smaller one with built in esc's.
So do you use the radiomaster tx16s and a dsmx satellite and away you go or do you have to have a dsmx receiver. Can you use nexus with a spectrum radio. @Johnny31297
I am thinking of switching from vbar to a new FBL, and i was wondering if i use this one would i be able to connect a 205A YGE and xguard to this unit. It seems that there are not enough slots for my setup. Or is there a way to connect both BEC cables to one? Still new to the hobby.
No, ELRS! This is the one I'm using, choose FCC or LBT according to your region: www.radiomasterrc.com/products/tx16s-mark-ii-max-radio-controller?variant=45864291598567&sca_ref=6097963.XZrIMPsbJB

I'm excited but after being burned by the AG01-V's, my love of RadioMaster has faded some. If RadioMaster offered trade-in credit for the faulty AG01-V's, it would be an enormous good faith effort to the community. That being said, is the Nexus an option for the M2 (V2 and Evo)? Will you offer setups for those? If not, would the RP3-H fit either the M1 or M2 as a satellite?
Mikado made an on purpose update to keep you from using them lol. They are not faulty, mikado just got really mad because they sold tons on a product that people always wanted.
Is it not possible to fly it right side up and show its stability in simple flying maneuvers, for mere mortal RC helicopter pilots, you know the 80-90% of us out here.
Awesome video, thanks Jonas!
