- In this series, I assemble what I believe is the greatest team possible for each franchise. In this specific video, we're looking at the Memphis Grizzlies.
5 starters, 5 backups, and 3 rotations players. A total of 13 roster spots on each Ultimate Team. It's not just about talent, but it's about building a team that works and gels together.

The game of Basketball has been my passion since I was 5 years old. I grew up as a kid watching my dad's recorded VHS tapes of playoff games through the 70s and 80s, and collected all the Basketball cards. Something about the game and what it represents just hooked me from a very young age.

Loving this series. As much as I was willing to make jokes about the Ultimate Clippers, the Grizzlies haven't been around nearly as long, so there shouldn't be any expectation that they're going to compete with the deeper franchises out there. I don't think they can make the Ultimate Playoffs, but this is clearly the best lineup available for a franchise that didn't even exist when I was growing up. Looking forward to the next one!
The team is certainly well constructed given the franchise’s history. The only potential qualm I’d have:
Whenever I hear Rudy Gay’s name, it’s usually in conversations about guys who put up empty stats.

Grit and Grind grizzlies was wayyy more like-able and humble then the grizzlies we’ve got for the past 3 seasons
im loving the series so far! not much but i think adding an all time coach to the team would bring extra insight to the vid but that's just me and every all time team vid so far has been a banger.
Once you finish the ultimate team series, perhaps you could make a tier list.

So glad to see some love for Big Country! He was born right outside of where I’m living now, and even though he spent most of his time growing up in Oklahoma, we’re pretty proud of him in northwest Arkansas.
Makes me think you could at some point maybe do the best starting 5 from each state? For AR alone you’d have Conley, Sidney Moncrief, Scottie Pippen, Derek Fisher, Fat Lever, and no shortage of others to choose from
I personally would put Desmond Bane in for reaves because he’s a 3 AND D sg which provides a different skillset than the other sgs. No diss to Big Country but I feel like the big men you have brings every possible skill you need to the team already.
The only I can think of when looking at this team is Grit & Grind. It won't be easy to get 100 points against them.

This would be a phenomenal defensive all time team but their offense would be one of the weakest compared to other all time teams.

Hey Jonny, I hope after you're finished this series you do a massive amounts of polls to decide the seeding for a hypothetical playoffs with these teams and then individually poll those hypothetical matchups to eventually have 2 remaining teams for the finals. It would even be cool if you had the final say on who would win each matchup in a video for each matchup. I think it could also make a very interesting compilations video once all of it was made.
Good picks, Jonny! The Gasol brothers are an intimidating frontcourt presence. JJJ and Randolph (and Big Country) are solid also and the Grizzlies def have one of the better frontcourts. Mike Miller is great too. I remember his superb shooting skills. I know Bibby and Gay more from their time on the Kings but concur that they are great choices for PG and SF, respectively (esp with Bibby's clutch shooting).
I had watched the clip where Kobe said that Allen was the toughest defender he ever faced yesterday, so I thought about it as you discussed him. He and Morant, along with Conley and Miller, are good guard choices.

As one of your oldest viewers I have to say that this “all time teams” series is not the best you can do, your videos can be a lot better then this series. Here are some examples - VS series, goat team, iconic photo, video about certain question (is Kobe an overrated defender for example) and a lot more.

Why's everybody sleeping on Steven Adams? Sure, he's just about the opposite of a stat-padder, but he puts in the work, sets the screens, grabs the offensive rebounds and makes sure the star players, like Ja, get their shots. In interviews, every teammate who mentions him seems to worship the ground he stands on and calls him underrated, so don't just take my word for it. He seems to be a "glue" kind of person, both on and off the court, just what an ultimate team needs.

I would define this team as the ultimate litmus test team. This is the type of team that may not be the best all star team as compared to the Clippers, Bulls, or Boston teams you put together, but they would be a dark horse team every year. No one would want to go up against this Grizzlies team became they would be much better than people think

I’d like to see how these teams would pan out if each player could only play for one team. Kareem on the Lakers or the Bucks? Lebron on Cleveland or Miami?
Zach Randolph was the best high school player I ever personally witnessed.
You should pick a head coach for each time also
In the ultimate team league is a lottery team for sure, but overall it's a solid squad
A little disappointed white chocolate didnt make the squad but its understandable to why he didnt with the players ahead of him
This is the first team in the ultimate team series where I feel like they do not look good compared to the teams that you made videos about so far. It really shows that the Grizzlies never really won anything in their franchise history so far. But things seem to be looking up for them recently, so who knows, maybe this video might need a re-do in the not too distant future :).
Hawks then the Heat. Hawks should be sneaky good. With Bob Petit, the Human Highlight Reel, Moses Malone, potentially one of the top ultimate teams.
Heat should have the LeBron fans excited.
Shareef was much more a power forward ultimately, and that starting five has no shooting from outside of 15 feet

When is future goat coming back?
Jaren Jackson Jr. over Pau Gasol. JJJ won DPOY for the Grizzlies. Also, putting Pau Gasol in the bench to sub for his brother Marc would complement with Zach Randolph better given how Pau and Marc play the similar style of play.
What‘s their offcourt True Shooting %?
I would have gone with Dickenson over Reaves, but that's about it.
Replace Bibby and Big Country with White Chocolate and either Steven Adams or Lorenzen Wright (RIP) and you have the true lineup.
