This is awesome! My gut reaction was to have Mitch Richmond at starting SG. However, you make a good point about the guard depth, so I second starting Fox alongside Big O. That would be an incredible backcourt. It brought be a lot of joy to see C-Webb and Peja as the starting forwards. They were awesome and also among my favorite Kings players. Mitch is also one of my favorite Kings players and seeing him and Tiny Archibald would be so fun. They would be a solid backcourt. I second having Artest as backup SF. I love Peja but I was also happy when he came to Sac. Agreed that he had a positive impact on both defense and offense. Having him, Lucas, and Domas together would be a superb frontcourt. I go back and forth on whether to start Cousins or Domas, but either way, there is a solid center. Hard to see Bibby as a rotation player but it makes sense. He was so clutch too and I am so glad the Kings traded for him. I remember Stokes and Twyman from your video about Stokes. Love their friendship (and your video about them is wonderful) and it is heartbreaking how Stokes' career was cut short. He was incredible. Awesome choices and I agree, this team would def be like the 2002 team (which was ahead of its time). This video brought me a lot of nostalgia and I had a lot of fun watching it! Told you. I told you. The talent this franchise has acquired is astounding despite their lack of success. This is the Clippers all time team if this swapped elite defense with elite shooting and playmaking. This team will surely make the playoffs and even win a series if they get the right opponent. The advanced offensive numbers and assists on this team will be off the charts and make the "other city" in California for sports more fun and recognizable to the fans. Speaking of which, I love the recognition you gave to Jack Twyman and Maurice Stokes (RIP). The former is one of the best players the organization has even had and the latter is easily a Hall of Famer if not for his tragic head injury. I just have one issue. De'Aaron Fox over Mitch Richmond in the starting lineup? I get it, Fox is a modern player with a better skill set and is probably a more clutch shooter. But you could save him for those minutes late in the game that you need him while keeping him on a unit with his teammate Sabonis. Richmond is also one of the greatest shooters ever that legitimately carried a god awful team that had a man get arrested for impersonating a police officer get top 5 minutes on the team to the playoffs in 1996. He'll be able to get you a quick start and barrage of scoring before turning to Fox. I'm sure the Warriors, specifically Don Nelson, don't regret trading him for scraps in the early 90's or anything. But hey, those are just my thoughts. See you for the Knicks.

I feel like the Kings are gonna be the team that most drastically over performs their talent. The ball movement is unreal, and for some stretches they could actually have a quite formidable defense if they switch in Ron Artest at SG or SF
Fox ahead of Richmond AND Archibald… I get the rationale, but I see this as a bit of a reach. Perhaps you are casting his career ahead a bit more than I would. Excellent video as always, mind you! This Kings team has some quality, but is also showing why they have struggled for most of their existence.
I feel you. Fox has a couple inches on Archibald, so I just really feel like Nate is just too small for the starting 2 spot. Would be a huge defensive mismatch in many scenarios.

As a die hard Kings fan, I was really hoping to see the underrated career of Sam Lacey make the ultimate roster, especially from a UA-camr with as deep of knowledge of the past basketball as you have... But when I didn't even see his name in the honorable mentions, I was legitimately confused. Not only is his jersey hanging in the rafters at G1C forever, but he is one of the only players to get 100 blocks and 100 steals in 6 consecutive seasons with the Kings. He was also one of the top 5 rebounders in the NBA several years in a row, an All-Star late by his 5th year, and was recognized as the best set up passing big men of the 70's. He was basically the original Ben Wallace mixed with the passing ability of Chris Webber. RIP Sam Lacey, Kings Legend.
They have quality rebounding while they are a bit under sized against big teams. They are not going to be a lot second chance points. Oscar makes life difficult for opposing point guards. He's big and quick.
Vlade Divac should have been on this team. I know a big man pairing of Webber and Cousins looks more formidable, while Sabonis over Cousins can be a legitimate debate to be had, but it shouldn't be overlooked that Webber and Divac often worked as a one-two punch. Bibby could light up, Stojakovic was an outside threat, but Divac was the one to punish defenses with a pass to Webber or Stojakovic when they'd colapse on him. And this was in an era when centers were not suppoed to pass, just crash or clear the boards.
I would be interested to hear if Kings fans wish Vladi Divock was included but I think once again, you did a great job getting this right and thought outside the box better than me
I've always felt pity for Cousins. A great player with a 8 years old boy mentality. By the way, I agreed with other comments: Richmond should be in the first team.

At first I thought Stokes was more of a “feel good” add because Wayman Tisdale should 100% be on the all-time team. But when I went back and looked at Tisdale’s career, I guess I remember him having a better career than he actually did. I was shocked to see that he didn’t even make an All-Star team. So Stokes was as good an add as any, especially since you needed more size with that final selection. Love this series. Keep up the great work.
The only change I would make is I would start Sabonis over cousins. I just don't trust that cousins would stay mentally engaged. Sabonis is more consistent. Cousins would be great firepower off the bench. You could just wind him up and let him go.
Your right, I didn't mind Cousins being in front of Sabonis, but I feel Cousins could the Center version of Malik monk in the sense he could be that spark that this Team would need if they're needed
One of the most underrated ever.... Came ready out of college 10 straight seasons as a rookie over 20ppg😊 1996-97: Mitch averaged 25.9ppg, 4.2apg, 3.9rpg, 1.5spg and shot 43% from three taking 6 a game. He would of fit and dominated in today's era It was nice to see him get a ring with the lakers
I think the starting power forward position should belong to Jerry Lucas not Chris Webber because Lucas have a higher stat than Webber did. And in honorable mention, I think Bob Davies should be included in that category because he was the first superstar ever in the history of the Royals/Kings franchise. He is the reason why they won their only championship in their franchise history when they won in 1951.
It's pretty rough. If you take out Ron Artest, this team doesn't have a single All-Defense selection. lol. Might even be worth considering substituting Doug Christie for Mike Bibby, just because of how desperately this squad needs some defenders.
Oscar was an incredible player. A post-prime Oscar FINALLY got the help he needed to earn one ring, but was by then too old for more. He was better in the Royals. However, I have seen some of the other teams. Unless this team goes all-in on the passing game, and it pays off with interest, I'm not seeing this team reach the ultimate Play-Offs. Would definitely be cool with a Kings/Buck finals series, though, with young Oscar playing against old Oscar.

I didn't think the Kings would be impressive, but when you compile the team together you realize that there a lot of very good players. I think they definitely win games, and possibly can win a series. As for roster, remove either Stokes or Twyman, and replace with Vlade Divac. Stokes & Twyman are both fighting for minutes and either one will only get in the game as a rebounding spark. Vlade would act as more of a point-center, a completely different look than any of the others players PLUS he will rebound. This team only gets better if they highlight their greatest strength: ball movement. Besides, who wouldn't want to see the original flop specialist return for one last hurrah.
This team is definitely better than intuitively expected but I don't see them making an 8 team playoff field in the ultimate team west. Lakers 1 seed, Warriors, Spurs, and Rockets 2-4 in whatever order. Suns, Jazz, Nuggets, and Mavericks 5-8 in any order. However, if we have a playoff in tournament this Kings could realistically complete for the 9 or 10 spot.
This team is surprising because we forget that the Royals are the origin of the franchise and how many great players there were in the 1960-70s. Because this team, as good as they are, will miss the playoffs, it would be cool to have White Chocolate on the team to play against Pistol Pete, Magic, and Nash.

The Kings have a surprisingly good team for a franchise that never won a title since the 50s - but of course they were robbed against the lakers that one time. Nonetheless, a really great team that would be a lot of fun to watch. 5:12 wrong insert :X
Like it. A lot and I mean a lot of versatility, passing and scoring but without any one transcendent scorer. I see rim protection as a problem here. Actually defense as a whole is not on par with some of the other all time teams. Compared to any non-all-time team this is an amazing roster. But I was thinking of those All Time Celtics or Heat and man, they would cook this team.

Good thoughts. Off the top of my head, the best Ultimate Teams specifically for modern Basketball would probably be the Kings, Spurs and Warriors.

Kings have crazy guard depth. Glad Bobby Jackson is mentioned I met him when he played for the WNCC Cougars in the 1990s.

I would put Vlade in their just because of Boogie and his problems with temper. I even believe that Vlade would be a better option then Sabonis.

Oscar was an incredible player. A post-prime Oscar FINALLY got the help he needed to earn one ring, but was by then too old for more. He was better in the Royals.
However, I have seen some of the other teams. Unless this team goes all-in on the passing game, and it pays off with interest, I'm not seeing this team reach the ultimate Play-Offs.
Would definitely be cool with a Kings/Buck finals series, though, with young Oscar playing against old Oscar.

I didn't think the Kings would be impressive, but when you compile the team together you realize that there a lot of very good players. I think they definitely win games, and possibly can win a series.
As for roster, remove either Stokes or Twyman, and replace with Vlade Divac. Stokes & Twyman are both fighting for minutes and either one will only get in the game as a rebounding spark. Vlade would act as more of a point-center, a completely different look than any of the others players PLUS he will rebound. This team only gets better if they highlight their greatest strength: ball movement. Besides, who wouldn't want to see the original flop specialist return for one last hurrah.

This team is definitely better than intuitively expected but I don't see them making an 8 team playoff field in the ultimate team west. Lakers 1 seed, Warriors, Spurs, and Rockets 2-4 in whatever order. Suns, Jazz, Nuggets, and Mavericks 5-8 in any order. However, if we have a playoff in tournament this Kings could realistically complete for the 9 or 10 spot.

This team is surprising because we forget that the Royals are the origin of the franchise and how many great players there were in the 1960-70s. Because this team, as good as they are, will miss the playoffs, it would be cool to have White Chocolate on the team to play against Pistol Pete, Magic, and Nash.

Solid team and another great video in this series. That starting five will have ridiculous ball movement and handling. Just an embarrassment of riches for passing. I don't know how deep they could go in the playoffs, but with the Big O at the point, anything is possible. Only change I'd make is I'd want Sabonis over Boogie in the starting five.

I like the idea for this, but I would have preferred to only have players be eligible for a team that spend the majority of their career there or had the most seasons with that one team. That would avoid having so many duplicate players on teams.
The Kings have a surprisingly good team for a franchise that never won a title since the 50s - but of course they were robbed against the lakers that one time. Nonetheless, a really great team that would be a lot of fun to watch.

Like it. A lot and I mean a lot of versatility, passing and scoring but without any one transcendent scorer.
I see rim protection as a problem here. Actually defense as a whole is not on par with some of the other all time teams. Compared to any non-all-time team this is an amazing roster. But I was thinking of those All Time Celtics or Heat and man, they would cook this team.
