    Than you for the most thorough review of an MX5 I have seen to date. I own a 2022 MX5 soft top in Canada and thoroughly enjoy driving this car. It reminds me of my 1972 MGB I owned many years ago, only the MX5 is done to a much higher quality level and driving fun. Cheers

      I totally agree. I had a ‘77 MGB. But, the quality of the MGB was not that great. My 2024 MX-5 feels solid and well designed.

    My mom bought one kislux and she loves it. It had been there for over 10 years when she went out with it.

    Thanks for an excellent review.Collected my 1.5 here in Spain at the start of August.One thing you did not mention was its effect on people as it brings a smile and compliments rather than the resentment some badges generate.My dog is also a massive fan.

    Thank you for reviewing this excellent roadster masterpiece. I'd be really interested to watch a review for the 1.5L engine

    A very incisive, thorough and comprehensive review of the Mazda mx-5, the best I’ve seen on UA-cam about this specific car. Very well done 👍

    I love my Soul Red 2.0 ND2 which I bought new in 2021 (I've had an NC roadster and an NB before). The RF is really a targa top rather than an open car, and its roof is not metal, it's composite.

    The variety of textures in the kislux pack is impressive. From smooth leather to textured suede, there's something for everyone.

    The owners manual and tyre repair kit can fit in the additional storage area behind the drivers seat (RF) or behind either seat (roadster). So the roadster effectively has 4 glove boxes of varying sizes.

      Few people know that fact

    • @lipslide101
      @lipslide101 17 днів тому

      Is it only the RF that has the mini storage areas behind the seats?

    • @justinbennitt835
      @justinbennitt835 17 днів тому +1

      @lipslide101 the RF has a storage space only behind the right seat (driver's side in UK), the roadster has a storage space behind both seats and a deeper central space.

    Pretty sure the exposed chassis pictures were of an NC last gen MX-5 instead of an ND MX-5 based on the shape of the transmission and the location of the oil dipstick. Thd ND transmission is smooth, without any of the ribbing that's in the picture shown. The exhaust also comes out the wrong side for an ND too.

    7:00 , “I-stop off” and “P off” buttons don’t exist in US spec. Do you have a different spec car that has these buttons/functions?

      US spec models are quite spartan compared to UK and EU models . . .

    New sub to your channel, your vids would benefit from putting the ‘want this content” banner right at the top instead of the bottom as it hides some of the car/interior your reviewing! Enjoyed the vid though, good work.

    Hi great review.. just got 2024 RF in black been on order since February. Question question do you think you should have a run in period a what’s your thoughts on under sealing the car looks lovely underneath as not been out in the wet weather yet.Dealership saying the service department not to keen on it as it makes work an looking under the car harder.

      I spray "Fluid Film", a lanolin based rust preventative, every season under the car and have driven through many winters with my ND. I have no rust issues. I used it on my NC years ago and after 150,000 miles, swapped out my suspension easily, because I had no frozen fasteners. So contrary to what the dealer says, I would recommend it. It may make leaks hard to find (because it stays wet), but you could wash it off with detergent if you needed.

    Redline is 7500 in the 2.0 L at least here in the US. Maybe that’s different on the UK side.

      He probably just meant the fuel cock. US cars rev to 7800.

    You might have a bit of a delay if you order this trim as both Recaro seats and BBS wheels are currently in receivership and , in Recaro’s case, not expected to recommence production until 2025.
