      Tried cold water rinse again! Another frizzless wash and go! Its the cold water for sure. And my last wash and go with the cold water rinse lasted a couple days longer then it normally does. This is everything

    She’s totally accurate with this. It must be an ancient secret or something. My whole life that’s how my mother would wash my hair. I guess that’s why it was always so long and beautiful. Now I’m starting all over again and I’m finding that rinsing my head with cold water is very cold, but it is something that my Hair loves. lol

    I have been trying cold water lately on my 4c hair. Game changer!! For the life of me my scalped was always ALWAYS itchy whenever I just only washed my hair with hot water. Now with cold water, I don’t naturally have to touch my hair and scalp much and my hair is ALOT more softer! and I can also see my curls too. Though I do the shower rinse run after I’m done doing my hot shower run to help me water whenever I have to be productive

    Makes sense. I cut and regrew my hair to the length of my pfp but it was curly then. I did everything i used to do but I knew something was missing. Its crazy how 1 missed step can mess up the whole process!

    I watched another UA-camr a few years back , she recommended , warm water to begin to open cuticle and then cold water after , it does work on my mixed 3/4 but I'm real lazy natural 😅but not sure for everyone else.

    Actually, it’s no different than treating your hair like your skin. Hair and skin are made up of the same thing. When you get in the shower, you generally use a antibacterial soap, or something to exfoliate and cleanse the skin, then you rinse your body with the cold water, then you get out and put your lotion on and your skin. is a lot better.

    I alo start it to hear most say that cold water good for our hair i also think warm water is good for our hair too but i don't trust hot water at all i think hot water is not good for our hair it's bad for our hair that can damage my hair i did hear most say that warm water opens our hair folicles and cold water closes are hair folicles i didn't know that at first until now a days most mentioned about it and when you also just mentioned about it too sure i did used to wash my hair with cold water only sometimes and sometimes i wash my hair with warm water but i been hearing that most advice that wash our hair with warm water first before using cold water to rinsing our hair after i heard that advice i start it doing that last year and i meant try to do that again too i also wanna say that this technique doesn't work for everybody's hair since everyone hair is difference but this technique does work for some people's hair i do think this technique this work for my hair sometimes and sometimes it doesn't work it all depends but i do agree that cold water is for our hair and i also think warm water is good for our hair too

    even on low porosity hair? that doesn't work! my hair will not accept my leave in Conditioner if I do a cold rinse after washing it. ITS A NO NO for Me!!!!!!!

      @swirlycurlyhair  Рік тому +3

      Hi Nicole! Yes, this works most hair types because it helps to lock in and keep moisture in. Warm water and steam will open your cuticles and cold water closes it.

      Hi Nicole I have low porosity hair too and I’ve tried this and doesn’t work for me either I can’t put any products on my hair afterwards; I ended up having to backtrack and rinse my hair again with warm water for 15 min just to get it to do what I needed it to do it definitely extended my wash day and it was not a good time! I said never again 😂. Sorry Keziah but I agree with Nicole. I think it depends on the person and the way their regimen is set up.

      @@swirlycurlyhairow porosity cuticles are already closed lol our struggle is to keep them open enough to get moisture in to begin with. They naturally close without cold water. However I do feel like my hair is softer immediately after with a cold rinse not sure if it’s the cuticle or not I’ve always thought it was less harsh on the hair where as hot water stripes natural oils. I do this with skin care as well.
