      It’s disgraceful that it took so long. Also, the guards should have alarms on their gloves or sleeves in case they are too far from that alarm.

    • @vickyRoyalHistory
      @vickyRoyalHistory 8 місяців тому

      @@googlamonster5086 It's a work environment, people all have work to do. Just like any other work place, there are times that due to unexpected things happening, it may mean the Buzzer is unattended. If that happens, they have a 3rd Back Up in the form of the Dismounted Trooper who comes & does a visual check so many times in the hour they are on Duty. They are wearing a Military Uniform, Alarms are not part of the Uniform. This Video if I remember correctly is about 10 or 11 mins, so it would mean that he pushed the Buzzer 8 times in about 10 mins. That's not an unreasonable time to have to wait for assistance. If the Police were doing their job properly, then it wouldn't have been an issue. A Buzzer can't go looking for help, the Police can. Don't forget all these Troopers are Highly Trained Soldiers, they are capable of defending themselves if they're threatened. They can always reach that Alarm & if the Horse charges out, he knows how to control it & someone will see them if that happens. Behind the scene staff aren't always having to leave the Buzzer unattended, if they expect to be away for a long time, they will make sure someone can come & cover for them. This situation is not the norm, it's bad luck.

    I want to say thank you to the gentleman for making the guard aware of something that needed attention! This touched my heart. I do however feel that there needs to be a new way of alerting someone for help! You shouldn't have to press the button again and again to get help. What a wonderful guard! You could see him getting anxious as he was very concerned about his horse, and no one came for some time, yet he remained calm and collected.

      @DonnaCsuti-ji2dd it's actually possible that the bit in the horse's mouth was one of the types that have a flavour to them that the horses really like. I went on a guided trail ride a year or so ago, and the woman who owned the horses told me she used certain bits for her horses that taste like licorice, so rather than being a nuisance of having an odd shaped metal object Lin their mouths, the bit was kind of like a treat, similar to sucking on a hard candy

      @@jo-penfordThat was exactly what my husband, & myself said, also. That the horse was bleeding from the mouth &/or nostril. The way the horse was acting was very telling, as well. Just kind of lethargic, & hanging his head low. I’m going to watch it again, a couple more times. I HOPE someone will be able to let us all know what happened, & if the horse is ok?!
      I’m in the U.S.A. I actually have an Irish Draught…he’s such magnificent horse!! He’s a sweetheart. I love him♥️. I love all horses, really. In fact🤔, I love horses more than most people!! TRUTH.

      I think he saw the horse's tongue out, which meant the bit was under it. Nothing serious, but dangerous in that he couldn't be controlled by the rider and very unpleasant for the horse.

      @jo-penford 7 місяців тому +7

      @SagPegasus Man points to his own nose and says " He's Bleeding !" at the same time. Common sense tells me he's talking about the horse. Iv had horses all my life and Iv seen a case of tongue over the bit, they don't stop throwing their head around. This horse looks relaxed to me ( tired / unwell ). A couple of these horses quite often yawn while on Duty... and hang tongue out. However I don't know what happened back in the stable yard. Do you know ?

    The man in the black suit at the very beginning of the film alerted the Guard that there was something wrong with the horses nose.
    Maybe as other have said the buzzer was not working. The Guard who came looked at the horse's and sent someone to bring the horse and rider back

  • @FoehnLeigh
    @FoehnLeigh 4 місяці тому +3

    From my experience with horses, this horse appears to have a condition called "choke." That's why the bystander pointed to his nose. It's likely the horse had some sort of horse feed coming out of its left nostril, which is a typical sign of "choke." Choke occurs when a horse cannot swallow its feed, whether it's because the feed was dry and it didn't have a source of water to drink, or something has gotten stuck in the throat that causes the horse not to be able to swallow its feed all the way into its stomach. This can be a dangerous situation for a horse because the feed can back up the esophagus and cause the horse to aspirate into its lungs. Aspiration is when the contents of the stomach enters into the lungs. If a horse is not treated quickly, it most certainly can end up dying, or end up with a severe case of pneumonia that could also cause death. After the guard and the horse walk away you can see that there is the appearance of grain laying on the ground below the horse's head. And the fact that the soldier peered up into the nose and mouth of the horse indicates he was checking for signs of choke.

      I think they should be given a walk-in talkie type of device, nothing big just like an ear peace that they can press in an emergency and actually talk to another soldier. It’s obvious the panic button is useless and technology has moved on so much that I’m sure there is a different way for the guards to get emergency attention.

    Y'know a good way they can get information back and forth effectively and secretly could be adding a mouth guard/blocker and having mics hooked in and once a button is pressed in hand it rings put and the guard (that is on duty) can communicate while keeping their composure and still leave the viewers unknowing due to the blocking of the mouth

    I think faulty button. I think they have done a bad job maintaining the horse guard area. Doors need painting, stone needs pressure washing. I believe high awnings should be installed to protect from sun and rain. The signage could be properly mounted..and sandwich boards in different languages with the rules and warnings written on them. Also mobbing or blocking the horse should not be allowed nor pole extensions on cell phones near guard or horse.
