While I am concerned more from a community reception/player engagement perspective, I am happy that PhiDx and Blackheart potentially have a character. It is a shame that this game has lost its martial art identity. I think Tifa would have gave this game the hype win that it needs for sure, which is weird with FF7 Rebirth coming to pc that could have been great for their cross promotion on the second game of FF7 that from my understanding did not sell as well for Squenix this go around. Hope like you we get Bruce back and actual balance and gameplay adjustments from Harada now. In the end I hope T8 gets better going forward, and if it doesn't at least we got VF as a potential option.
im just confused as to why squenix goes for this when they have ff7 stuff like full games coming in the future and nothing for ff16 since almost half a year ago with dlc.
Haven't played ff16 and only heard about him prior but i am an RPG anime fan who got into learning tekken cause of noctis and the trailer looked fire so i am looking forward to it
Like you, and several other people I know, I had no idea who this was. I know the bigger FF characters, which is the entire reason to have a guest character to begin with. They are recognizable, and bring that visibility and their fan base to the game. Clive will bring in some new folks. But isn't a game charger in terms of player base like Tifa would have been. In regards to drawing a line of martial arts vs everything else, I understand we have non-martial arts style combat in TEKKEN, but I think we already have too much of it, and this character adds more of a thing there is already too much of. And he looks terribly out of place. His medieval fantasy look and all. His design looks quite bland. His attacks do look cool and over the top. Since my channel is all about TEKKEN I will play him, maybe he is fun, but I am disappointed. A bit shocked at this direction. Perhaps the price for Tifa, Cloud, etc, was too steep to pay for, or they are too iconic for Square Enix to lend out. If all FF characters were on the table to pick from, this in my opinion is not the right way to go. A universally recognizable, known character in gaming. Clive is not. A unique, creative design/ look. Clive is not. Guest characters tend to be overpowered. I do, expect him to be that. (Also trying POE2 because of you. Thanks for the content)

Nah it isn’t that bad
Tekcalibur 8 stays dead to me going into Season 2
There going to have to give me lei and some mind breaking character like jinpachi or ogre because y1 dlc legit pissed me off
Lei would be season 3
Literally worst decision ever all characters this season
@ nah people loved it it got more views than vf regal trailer
I am very excited. Both Clive and FF16 are awesome. I wish the Tekken community would be more open-minded.
