  • Hello! I finally made Yaoyao figure from Genshin Impact! I thought I can make a simple figure version of her but I guess I can't really help myself to make most of the details. So here she is! I hope you like it! I'm really happy with the result :D
    I really want chibi characters from Genshin but I didn't play when Nahida's banner appeared. So sad I couldn't have her. Hopefully this coming patch with Yaoyao I can get her! I do have Qiqi (my favorite), Sayu, Diona, and Klee!

    The details you make are so awesome!! Thanks a lot for sharing your videos, they are very helpful as I try to learn making clay figures myself. You are always a great inspiration!! I was wondering if you applied anything like clear varnish or resin on your figures once they're finished (to prevent the figures from losing color or cracking over time) ?

      No I didn’t apply any varnish on this one as the clay I used is good as it is. It didn’t have any noticeable losing color and definitely no cracking! This is resin air dry clay. It is water resistant also not waterproof tho

    I have question. After we make a figure using sir dry clay …if we display the finish figure , will the clay gone bad after long periods of time? Like cracking or growing mold ,etc

    • @ClayBum
      @ClayBum  Рік тому +11

      No cracking. It depends on the air dry clay used. Resin air dry clay as for today my oldest creation doesn’t change color, but some got molds because my other creation back when I used super light clay have it. So I think some parts got it from that. You can prevent it by putting them away from direct sunlight and humid places. Other air dry clay mostly the DIY clay and super light clay gets mold easily overtime.

    • @ClayBum

      I'm using molds for the head. I'm not sure how your work can make the whole figure weird. We have different style :) I just measure my feet too. I really depends on your liking. You can make the feet smaller than the head or bigger. Tho for me as what I prefer now I make the legs slightly bigger than the head. Some of my old works, the legs or body is smaller than the head.
