I haven’t seen a leopard frog in 25 years in New Mexico! And as a kid, I’d catch them every time I was out and about! Yes, they are disappearing!

My dad and I both have large ponds, and have wanted to start raising them. Can’t find any frogs, spawn any where to begin.

Since when were they endangered? :( I used to have one as a kid in the late 90’s, and with a specially designed habitat too.

How’s it going with their numbers?

They're endangered? Man, I live in FL and I can't go outside after a rain without stepping on one of those things. Literally everywhere.

I always thought the state of New Mexico would start some sort of rehabilitation or repopulation program by giving tadpoles to pond owners. It would make sense… but you can’t even buy tadpoles very easily. Any ideas?

As a matter of fact, I haven’t seen a frog besides a bullfrog in New Mexico for almost three decades….
