I really like your project about turning a 1962 hearse into an Ecto. I thought I share some info on 1959 Cadillac rear ends, as the GM made 3 type of 1959 Cadillacs. First are the 4 door Sedans. The have the so called short fins. as they are shorter in length. The second type are the Coupe and Convertible fins, which have a longer type of tail fin, and therefore looking more beautiful. These are also shared with the series 67/75 limousines. The last of the series is the rarest, and the one you need. The 1959 Commercial chassis, has a tail fin which may be even longer than the coupe fins, yet is most certainly higher than the Coupe and Sedan fins. Their Z shaped chrome bezel will not fit any standard 1959 Cadillac. The 1959 Cadillac hearse alone holds the record for the highest tail fin on any car. For your project I would recommend using the 1959 Coupe fins, as they are closest to the original. The sedan fins will not look right in the end, and it will tell an experienced enthusiast that you have a build a clone.
Now I get what you're going for, taking the fins off the hearse and putting these on to replace them. Nice idea! Now when you take the fins from the hearse you can give THOSE to Wreckt- XD (I'm still lobbying for a red Wreckto Ambulance car, haha XD )
@@DYFEA So we've got Wrecto-1 (the hearse) and Wreckto-Red (the Ambulance), oh hey by the way did you take any of my advice looking at Wreckto's engine and teaching yourself up on those old big blocks, or having a look and a thing about the wiring?
@@thequietestengine I haven't had much time to wrench lately, but I have some big engine related stuff in the works for the coming weeks that you might enjoy
@@thequietestengine there should be a Ectomobile version of this song: ua-cam.com/video/5GhnV-6lqH8/v-deo.html Because it is literally what the Ecto owners do!
there's a guy down in Oregon that has a whole bunch of 59 Cadillac parts bumper to grills Chrome up the wazoo he's on UA-cam I don't know how to get a hold of me except this channel is 59 Cadillac and a pond just type that in you should be able to find him
I think it was a blessing in disguise that your first donor car was wrecked. Because your second car is in way better shape.
Awesome to see some progress. It's all coming together. Notification for this episode is on. Can't wait!. Keep up the good work my friend.
