      @@hambadlengebiharekdin Second one is obv non-causal. Take any input, no matter what the input is, the summation will always give values from negative infinity to infinity. so If you have the number 3 for example as your input, the summation will give values greater than 3 for k, which is obv non-causal.

      See casual or non casual systems don't belong on values or amplitude. They only belong on the time(future,past or present) relatively to the output-n .so ,please check answer for second 1 it is casual

    All are non causal systems. In problem 2, in the entire summation u get like this, y[n]=.........+x[-n]+......+x[n]+......,
    Now if u consider n=0,u get only present values only.
    If u consider n=1, u get,y[1]=.........+x[-1]+......+x[1]+......, which is a combination of past and present values.
    If u consider n=-1, u get ,y[-1]=.........+x[1]+......+x[-1]+....., which is a combination of present and future values.
    Hence problem 2 is also Non Causal

      David the present value is -1 and the past value is -2. Think in this way, the value of x[-2] is already stored in the system, you are just retrieving it by using x[-1]

    In homework problem 2,how is the output is depending on input with respect to time? I think we can not comment on causality unless we know this. Please reply sir..

      it covers infinity region ,that means all input terms so it is non causal

    Non causal system- output depends on future values of input and OUTPUT at any instant...
