Hi guys! I don't know what happened to the audio - I watch my videos through before posting and don't recall it being an issue then. But I did have to alter the background music and reupload, so I must have changed the volume of those clips by accident.
I'll try to get it fixed when I get home (typing from a Mcdonalds in PA right now) but youtube doesn't let you edit or reupload videos without losing the comments, so I'm not sure what I'll be able to do. Sorry for the error, I was really proud of this video! :(
Angela Clayton to be honest I didn’t even notice the audio issue! Perhaps I was distracted by all the sparkly sequins 😍
you should still be proud of the video! it's a beautiful dress and it was so cool to see it come together!! the audio parts don't take away from that at all!!
Angela Clayton Proud? As well you should be. :)
It's totally fine as it is. I just love this dress, an the two times where it gets silent doesnt really bother me
Beautiful monumental work from a gorgeous artist!
Audio?! What audio? Heard everything. Nothing distracted. 👍👍♥️❤️👗👏👏♥️
And please DO WEAR it anywhere! People are hungry for an eye candy 🍭 🙏🌞❤️👍♥️🎈
Oh oh oh!!! This might be might be my favorite thing you’ve ever made. I think it would be an amazing wedding dress style. White on white with that kind of textural embellishment would be beautiful and I’m imagining it in blush, sea foam, or the palest peach with pastel flowers. Chartreuse yellow, bright spring green, fuchsia, oh the bright pinks, saturated colors like your orange are beautiful! The color possibility’s are endless and all beautiful. This design truly excites me and makes me think of so many possibilities.
I agree, This needs to be a bridal gown. The embellishment techniques are magnificent.
I was thinking the same thing! I want a wedding dress like this! D:
I was thinking of it as a wedding dress, too--but exactly as it is; I think it would make a wonderful dress for a second marriage!
Or for a bride who really doesn't care about wearing white. I like the color.
I know this comment and video are ancient in internet time, but idea has been banging against my head since this video came out. So I thought you might wish to know: there is, in fact, a ribbon embroidery wedding dress currently under construction.
My fiancée and I’s very loose wedding concept is “Studio Ghibli imagines the classic vampire’s bride trope” so I feel like the ribbon embroidery is going to bring that element of nature and whimsy into our dresses.
A dress to wear just before being captured and taken to the underworld! Definitely a wardrobe staple for every girl! Persephone would definitely approve!!! ❤❤❤❤
this is insanely gorgeous and technically impressive. It's so cool to watch you grow as an artist!
SHE IS A ARTIST ( when comes to art sorry if I sound rude I meant to be Like happy)
I wanna be buried in this dress!!!! And I’m not even a dress person!!! This dress is deadly gorgeous! Excellent job!
I, too, believe in having a dress for every occasion. Gorgeous.
This dress is absolutely gorgeous. Any lady would feel very special wearing this creation. Thank you for all your hard work and for sharing this with viewers.
This is my favorite... the colors... the art... the technique... the material... the dress.. your patient ... amazing... stunning... speakless
Absolutely beautiful! I love the ribbon embroidery and the entire finished dress!
I was already impressed by the first half of this dress, but the second half is even more impressive! I had never heard of ribbon embroidery. And the patience to do all those ribbon flowers and sequins and beads... This is the prettiest dress I have ever seen.
Agree with the comments that this might be the loveliest thing you've made...the embroidery is to die for! I think there's all sorts of places you could wear this to, and while it looks like historical costuming it also doesn't look dated at all. Heck, you could wear it out to dinner at a nice restaurant...opera or symphony...Target...grocery store...at home...every single day.
The flowers and that orange fabric is everything. Such a beautiful dress.
This has gone beyond taloring and sewing. This is art!
I love this Persephone dress so much and you're right, it is quite autumnal. Comparing it to your autumn fairy dress though I can really see how much you've grown as a seamstress and an artist. Amazing.
When i read this, i thought to myself "but persephone is know for black, blue and green shades." Then, i heard her commentary at the end about being taken to the underworld! Makes sense!
one of the most beautiful dresses I have ever seen.
I could look at this dress all day.
I think many, many years from now people will look at dresses of yours on display in a fancy museum!
You‘re becoming such an artist 👏
that ending comment is so cute omg
such a beautiful garment -- and honestly very wearable and modern.
That orange color is divine.
Yes this dress is reminiscent of your flower dress. It's like the big sister or the mom version. Truly two wonderful dresses. Growing up is hard to do but with your talent I would be in heaven. 💖
You should try binding your edges of your bodices in piping. That will help get crisp points and, in general, it's a really good technique for finishing the very curved edges such as necklines and waists.
That is genuinely one of the most beautiful dresses I've ever seen
Sublime! I can see you descending the grand staircase of some fabulous ocean liner and entering the dining room, to the envious gasps of every woman, and the admiring glances of every gentleman.
This is really drop dead gorgeous on you. Don't ever get rid of it. 💕💕💕👏👏👏
I've never seen a dress like this from 1916. It is very beautiful and the attention to detail is so lovely.
This might be my favorite dress you have made. Wait, no..the green one. Well ... shoot I love the plaid.
*sigh* I love them all. Yet another win! So gorgeous....and that color really suits you! I am glad you discovered Silk Ribbon Embroidery. While expensive, man alive the beauty of it is unparalleled on garments. Thank you for sharing yet another amazing make!
Absolutely Stunning Dress. Definitely needs an event so you can wear it proudly. Such lovely work.
The dress is gorgeous! Beside the flowers, I really love the sequins, they really make the dress shine!
This dress is gorgeous. It actually reminds me of the dress that the mother is wearing to a party at the beginning of the movie The Secret Garden. I've always admired that dress.
Fabulous! Dress of a lifetime. Your work is always beautiful. This dress deserves a professional portrait picture. 😊
All that hand sewn embroidery! Props!!!
End product worth every minute spent on it. Lovely
Angela you are gorgeous and the dress is gorgeous. Your creativity is amazing.
From one needleworker to another, may I congratulate you on the beautiful work! Great job on the embroidery!
Wow. Stunning. The silk to lace embroidered transition on the skirt was exquisite. Watching it swish and sway as you twirled was heart melting. A dress certainly fit for Persephone herself! 😍💖💕
Priceless the beauty, detail, master craftsmanship. Awesome
Beautiful dress and very special! God bless you, you have lots of patience!!!
This dress deserves a matching headpiece!!!
This dress is just stunning. It's like a modern-day Callot Soeurs.
I think if this dress were presented at fashion week it would become a dress of legend. It would completely turn the tide of fashion. so impressed.
This is the most beautiful dress i have ever seen.
I loved this dress throughout. But the little end bit officially made this my favorite, Persephone.
Even back then, flowers were in! Wow! And orange! It looks beautiful, even for 2018.
I am in awe at this dress! I love the evening dresses of the 1910s and you did such beautiful work on this! You actually look like a woodland nymph in the try on portion!!!
this is the definition of a goals ass princess dress im in love!!!!!
Gorgeous. My grandmother would have a fit if I ever wasted so much fabric cutting out a pattern though. That woman made things from everything.😂
The embroidery is STUNNING
Gorgeous dress!!!! I admire your patience with all that fiddley hand sewing~!
You should be thrilled - this is a GORGEOUS garment! So technically impressive, and just so awe inspiring to see how this came together. As a non seamstress, I was just in awe at all of your range of understanding and love for this project. Who needs an occasion - you should wear this as many times as you can!!
My Grandmother would have worn this dress beautifully. She would have been 20 in 1916. She was always an impeccably dressed woman. She had her clothes tailored, changing collar shapes, sleeves, lengths and lines to suit her to perfection. I have photos of her wearing dresses in this style. Your creation is exquisite!
P.S. you are a beautiful model too.
I flippin' love 1910's tea gowns. If I had that dress I wouldn't wait for the occasion, I'd wear it to the grocery store if I had to!
I thoroughly enjoyed watching the creation of this magical dress.
You are gifted beyond measure! That is THE MOST BEAUTIFUL dress I have seen. Bravo.
This is what I call Be-U-Tee-FUL!! You did an awesome job on this dress. I always find it amazing that you do so much hand work without a thimble. Bravo!!
I prefer this dress over the fairy dress just because it is more of a period piece and the amount of work you put in made it so stunning! I love the shine :)
who needs an event?! Where that everywhere! It's GORGEOUS!
You can tell you are very happy with this dress. Your voice is carrying with more joy. Its worth all the work this dress is amazing and is goals.
This is my favourite dress in your collection.
I absolutely prefer this to the autumn fairy dress! I ADORE this piece! So snazzy! The amount of work 🙀 I’m so impressed!
This dress is absolutely stunning! The amount of work is huge but the result is off the chart!
The dress is absolutely breathtaking! Really admire your dedication and execution
The combination of lace ribbon embroidery and sequins is absolutely stunning. Excellent color combinations. I think this is my favorite of your designs so far.
I didn't have time to watch more than your intro but the dress is beautiful and it fits you like a glove and your hair with the flowers is right on point.
I am speechless. Just gorgeous.
Beautiful, light, airy dress! Love all the ribbon embellishments!
Stunning!! The orange piece is perfect. Love it.
The dress is GORGEOUS!! Fantastic job!
This dress is so beautiful. You are gifted.
A stunningly beautiful and romantic dress. Great job, and you look absolutely beautiful in it also, you could be in a movie wearing that lovely dress.
I think i prefer this to the older autumnal flowery dress and i think beeing able to do this much ribben embroidary is defenly a show of how much your skills have progressed in the years i have been watching you
this dress is STUNNING
Gorgeous is not enough of the word for this dress . It is fantastic ,stunning ,gorgeous and patience you have for small details . Thank You for sharing !
This is gorgeous ... just wanted to share a hack/tip for anyone who may be struggling w ribbon embroidery and twists - use a small hair straightener after you have passed them through the fabric - irons it out and just makes it easier
This is stunning. I adore the lines of the dress alone but the added flowers and sequins are spectacular. I too want to stare at the embellishments forever. It is delicate and pretty and the sparkle, silk ribbon and pearls just elevate to perfection
Wow! That orange is so striking. I was really not expecting that. So Autumnal, but somehow still very Summer! The ribbons! So wildly impressed with the results. I've barely dabbled at all in embroidery. I mean, I try to avoid hand sewing at all cost, because I'm so rubbish at it. I know practice makes perfect but...
I love the genuine joy in your voice all throughout this video, it's a beautiful dress and you have every reason to be proud of it! Also I really admire your ability to visualise colours and textures on a future garment but I presume these things come at least partly with lots of hard work and experience.
Angela is a wonderful lady and extremely talented I wish I could be even a little as good as she is so beautiful and I have not seen a single garment she has made nor suite her she could wear a sack and still look good
Absolutely stunning. You have such a natural eye for colour and design..Surely there must be some way that you could achieve your ambition to sew professionally.
This is the most beautiful dress I've ever seen!! Gorgeous!!
Love your style! Sometimes people love sewing from the decades but they don’t do anything very different design wise, but your stuff has gorgeous modern design edge added to the decade youre sewing for. Great job!
I think it would be a lovely wedding dress ,it's Beautiful xx.
My goodness this is absolutely exquisite. As a sewer and beader I can appreciate the intricacies of creating this outfit. Ty for sharing this! ❤️😍🤗👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Absolutely beautiful dress!
the detail is, breathtaking .
What a beautiful and unique gown!
To save some money, you can buy white silk ribbon (usually for much cheaper than dyed ribbon) and dye it with ProMarkers (or any alcohol-based marker). Crafty attic here on youtube has details on how to do it--and lots of great tutorials for really beautiful ribbon embroidery.
Though full disclosure alcohol markers have dubious fade resistants....
Loved the half loop stitch on China Silk reference 😂😂
Yup. Still absolutely adore this dress.
Boy, this dress is an off white, white, or cream would make one beautiful wedding dress. Mind you that, it's beautiful as it.
This dress is freaking gorgeous. I wouldn't ever want to take it off either if I'd made something as gorgeous as that!
I absolutely love this dress Angela. Another beautiful job by you.
So pretty! You should be proud. I did silk ribbon embroidery on my wedding dress 17 years ago. Like you, I’d never done it before....
I’ve watched both these videos for what must be at least the fifth time since I saw them first in April. I absolutely adore the outfit - it’s absolutely stunning to watch the creation and see the final product.
Absolutely love this dress.
This dress is so unique and beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
This is amazingly lovely. I think this looks like something Lady Sybil Crawley would wear. You need to get yourself a ticket to the Downton Abbey movie premier and wear it even though beloved Lady Sybil is gone. Or have yourself a "costume drama of your choice" party and invite all your costuming friends! Congratulations on another beautiful dress and informative and entertaining video. Jolly good!
Your are a very talented and passionate seamstress. The dress is so gorgeous.
Omg, I could watch you sew those ribbon flowers aaaaaaall day. So beautiful and relaxing.
The result is absolutely amazing! Pro tip, never ever tear silk! it warps the weave of the delicate fabric and actually encourages puckering.
Gorgeous! Absolutely gorgeous! I can't believe it's been three years since your fall fairy dress. What a way to amp up that aesthetic! The ribbon flowers are just stunning, and the embellishment, oh my goodness. Also - I love watching your nail polish change.
I think this is my favorite of all your clothes...I have been binging your videos. you have sooo many but I love how delicate this dress is, I can see your hair with flower ribbon pins, scattered throughout, hair in a modified gibson, some up some down like a Mucha poster...he was very famous at the turn of the century and he had styles like your dress in his work...
This is the prettiest dress ever seen
my husband's 101 year old granny, who sill hand sews all her clothes, sews these ribbon flowers to her curtains
Irene Royster that is so precious 💕
This is gorgeous! I would say it doesn't matter if it's *seasonally appropriate* because it would look incredible against the greens of summer and absolutely POP against the pastels of spring as well as the icy tones of winter!
