DPM TV: VOLVO P1800 RESTORATION PART 1!

- Опубліковано 6 жов 2024
- In part one of this 3 part restoration video DPM and the team take on a Volvo P1800. The client saw one of our previous videos on UA-cam and got in contact for doing his car.
The car arrived with the majority of the metal work done but we carried out gapping to the whole car to ensure all panels had 5mm panel fitment as well as numerous panel shaping.
The car then went for its second blast and epoxy primer and then back to us for filler levelling and Polyester Spray filler.
As usual we take you through each stage in detail as well as giving tips on how we do our work.
Hope you enjoy

New seals on and catches fitted for checking : often forgotten super tip ! 👌
Beyond the quality supplied by the factory. I am amazed with the number of steps prior to final paint.
Dream car alert. What a beaut.
…And I have a 544 ha ha.
Great work, looks like this will be a fantastic car. Cheers Bob
Great video and awesome soundtrack. Thank you.
I hope you might find a 1966 Volvo P1800S in automatic transmission version. You must fully restore them making sure they last 3.2 million miles even if you rebuild the engine and carburetor every 900,000 miles.
That is no good work - its VERY good and perfect, just great !
Bro unlocked the golden welding mask after reaching welding level 100😅
Volvo❤❤❤❤
Top notch as usual guys looking no need for going to the gym with all that blocking 😎😎💪💪💪
Thanks Darren! Yep lots more blocking to come too!!
@@dpmtv7693 what kind of hours would be spent on a project like this must be massive???
@@darrengalligan3085 this job came stripped with most of metal work done and the client is doing the fit up (we will fit loose trim) so I’d say around 300-400 hours
@@dpmtv7693 that's crazy I have a r32 gtr coming in soon will be getting similar process! Keep up the good work always look foward to your vids 👌👌👌👌
What’s the font name you used for your company logo? I love it. Great video btw.
well, I'm not alone so to make 1000 rushes before the "good"...
3-4 coats of poliester primer!!!!!!!!!! - sure u are not asking for trouble?
👍 👍 👍!!!!
Seals under the doors have been filled. They should be visible…
Yes these were all welded flush along with front and back panel seams.
