Great review, both cars are fabulous , As an ex GM man I love the Corvette a real super car but here in the UK the real difference is price the Mustang £62,000 and the Corvette £100,000 plus. There is one Corvette dealer just near London whereas you can buy and service your Mustang anywhere in the UK that’s 400 plus dealers, so probably the Mustang life will be easier.
The Ford Mustang, the apostle to the Muscle Cars! I do love the fake vents & I'm going to reiterate it, it makes it look good as to a boring & plain corner of the bumpers.
I test drove both cars what sold me on the Mustang it was a little easier to get in and out of. I really didn't want to fight trying to keep that engine bay clean with it visible from the back window. Looking through the back window seeing the engine nice and clean it looks great but with that engine dirty it's a turn off
Great review Joe, thanks! I'm getting the GT but was on the fence about the all black & Nite Pony package. Your video sealed it for me. For anyone interesting. Just by the look of it, it doesn't have the performance package, only the brembo option. Regarding the performance package, it would have also had a different front lip along with a rear spoiler and different wheels that normaly come with pirelli tires (not that good but they offer more grip than those continental). My last pirelli lasted only one summer... I suggest at least the indy500 tires if you want to hook more.
Nice on point video. I did pay 50k new and had to pay a 1000$ gas guzzler tax. now i understand why as i have yet to get more that 11 mpg in 1800 miles ive put on this Beast.........Tons of Fun and i love it...!!!
You’re NEVER getting a Stingray for 70k, starting price is really about 80k with most optioned ones sitting at dealers going for 90k some for as much as 100+. BIG difference between 55k for the Mustang and 90k for a Corvette. People saying Mustang Prices are nearing Corvette pricing are out of their mind. You could buy a Mustang and a Maverick pickup for the same price as a single Corvette.
Ford should have done an AWD 4 door "Mustang" called the Fusion. Fusion GT would be a Coyote V8. Sport/ST would be the 3.0. Edge....could be a very similar lineup with the 3.0 and AWD. Ranger Tremor should be the 3.0 Ecoboost. Ranger ST could be a street truck with some handling elements similar to the Toyota X-Runner.
I've been thinking of getting a Mustang for several years. To me, it has the best exhaust sound off the factory line. The power and styling for essentially a throw away price is hard to beat. The only thing holding me back is yet another car to maintain, pay property tax, get inspected with tinted windows, and etc.
I like Mustangs. Problem is, it's a Ford, and that means Ford dealerships and Ford service departments, which in my experience are lackluster at best. YMMV.
With the Corvette going around the corners it's a real fight, a real workout. The mustang with the magna ride just makes it so simple. I love my mustang I have had three s550s. Another great thing about the mustang you feel very planted.
I had both this is laughable. The C8 is a better track car in every metric. Look at the lap times. There are instances where the S650 GT with PP is even slower than it's predecessors. The C8 with the Z51 is a track weapon. The Mustang GT with PP is still slower than a 7 year old Camaro SS.
@ocnyoura6803 you're gonna ignore the fact the Camaro has had the same engine for over 8 years? Lol the real main reason is because 3600lbs vs 3800lbs.
Not even close to my C8!!!. I've owned Mustangs in the past & the performance of my mid engine C8 blows them all the way. A better comparison is the Camaro
😂😂😂😂. Jealous Chevy Fan boy's. Mustang is 30k cheaper and spend 8k and that Vette can't catch it. C8 stole the Ferrari's, Ford's GT, and Lamborghini's designs. Like all 3 had a 3 some and popped out a Vette. 😂😂. I still keep my Formula anyway.

He does something called “Am I Diversified” This is a segment where you call in and tell Jim your top five stocks and he tells you if you are diversified or not. You could apply this to you viewers who have multiply cars. I have two fun cars and a daily driver; it could be fun.
🤮 57k for this. I love my Stangs but that’s out of control for a GT. I’ll buy a used one in the 30k range or less when I’m ready. Not that much has changed and you can have just as much fun in an earlier generation Stang. Great review as always
Most of these guys just love the ecoboost and Mach E here and love Ford direction in putting tiny 4 bangers in F150 and ecoboost in Expedition but in this household if it don’t have V8 you’re not parking in the driveway. No Tesla allowed
I test drove a 2024 Mustang GT. I have to say the quality is disappointing. The interior feels cheap from the buttons on the steering wheel to the buttons where the start button is. That whole assembly moves when The start button is pushed. Ford should call it the Dead Horse 😂. Corvette C8 all the way. You even mention in one of your Corvette videos that the Corvette is better made! Couldn’t agree more!
Mustang for 23 yr old college kid first job after graduation. Vette for 45 year old guy who saved up for five years. Been this way 50 years....nothing has changed
It just doesn’t seem like an apples to apples comparison. After driving the c8, it’s such a different experience. True sports car versus a muscle pony car. Both great, but for different reasons.
This does not have the Performance Package, which is key to make it the best it can be (without going for the Dark Horse). The brakes and exhaust can be added as an option by themselves, but if it had the Performance Package, the wheels and tires would be different, and it would have a raised rear spoiler. When you add that, the price can get up over $60k.
I'm highly considering one, myself. Only thing holding me back is the hit or miss MT-82.. lots of negative reviews online but it seems like the fix isn't too bad. Didn't realize how big the Brembo's are.

C8 all day. I've never been a Mustang fan. The owners I've met of mustangs only made it worse. Can't go a mile down the road without seeing a Mustang gt, everyone, and their mom has one. And that only makes me like them even less, and those iPad dashes are absolutely horrible.
@brooktini79 see, i had a vasectomy when I was 20. Kids are a no, so the Mustang definitely doesn't win. I don't need a backseat. Can't stand kids, especially the kids of today. I'm so glad I dont have any. Let's me buy the cars i want, like the new ZR1 next year.
The dash in the mustang used to have a beautiful retro look. Now this thing could be out of an Expedition. Not a fan. The rest of the car is awesome but that dash is hard for me to get passed.
I’m shopping both the base GT is 47,000 the base Vette 71,000. That is a 24,000 difference. The GT sounds better with the active exhaust 1,500 option. I’m leaning towards the GT.
No comparison to the C8. BTW, my C8 is VERY comfortable. Just say no to 4 seats. Also, every idiot has a way to noisy Mustang. Corvette is a masterpiece, get over it.
Was that S650 running or in Accessory mode because those Rear LED Tail Lamps are blinking in Sequential Form with Emergency button activated?? They don't do that normally. Well, my S650 GT with Performance Pkg doesn't do that for Emergency Flashers (with the Engine on).
Love the Mustang GT. The dark horse is obviously the higher spec, but there's just something effortlessly cool about a Mustang GT. Blacked out look is nice too.
Sounds incredible....red stitching and red aluminum paddles would have been killer...still hate that huge screen and never going to change my mind. It is a sports car not a family hauler....go back to the regular gauges under the cowl like dash and leave the giant screen for the explorer! I buy this car for driving enjoyment....not a massive infotainment screen.
My first new car was a Black on Black 1984 Mustang GT with the 5.0 V8 302 cubic inch engine first year that had a 4 barrels since the early seventies. I was born July 4th 1963 and I took his car in March of 1984 because I had custom ordered it with everything on it except electric seats and electric windows. There was too many problems with the electric windows in those days. I had the fastest car around. I was 20-1/2 years old. At around 60 something thousand miles I took the original 302 out and put a hole in moody customized round track race engine pushing probably 600 horsepower. It was a full-blown race engine which started out as a 1968 cobra jet 351 hot rodded out to the max. I had special set of headers which were from advanced engineering West and they were very long the collectors came all the way to the transmission. They were for across instead of two pipes on top of two with special collectors that you can remove and have four pipes all the way across not stacked on top of one another. Never seen another pair of headers like them. When you removed the collectors you had four individual pipes on either side running horizontally giving you more ground clearance underneath the car that was the purpose of designing these like this when you put the collectors back on you would have it going to your exhaust pipes going out the back but without the collectors on it was just open headers with no collector at all strictly for racing. There was a little tab on either side of the collector that had a bolt through it you remove this bolt and wiggled The collector off. I need a high octane gas for this so I would pull up to the Harnett county airport a little small airport for private planes mostly and I would fill up with 100 octane gas. This was very expensive in this time it was over $3 a gallon in regular premium pump gas was around a dollar a gallon. There was a lot of classic cars I'm around here where I live in Coats North Carolina at that time. A lot of people would brag and talk about how these Mustangs were cool but they weren't nowhere near as fast as their old car which was faster probably they all wanted to race me and talked all kinds of crap interlock cranked my car. Then they quit wanting to race me because they instantly developed engine trouble. They didn't want to race me now because they had some kind of problem with their spark plugs or whatever carburetor you name it. Minutes before they were making fun of my car talking about how much faster theirs was than mine because they had already outrun a bunch of these little piss ant Mustangs with their Old School Big block V8's. I tried to get people to race me and had plenty of takers until I cranked my engine then instantly they all had engine trouble with their car. I wish I had that car back it sure was fun. I lost it in the divorce to my first wife. She didn't want the car she just didn't want me to have it cuz she knew it was my pride and joy. She got it back all right, minus the engine and transmission. Now I have a wife that I have been with since 1989 and a daughter who just turned 29. If I had the money to buy a new car it would definitely have to be the Mustang room for all of us. I would like to have the dark horse Mustang. At over 500 horsepower it's the highest naturally aspirated engine ford has ever put in a Mustang. Is Shelby GT500 is nice but it's not naturally aspirated and there's just something about a naturally aspirated engine that I love. Plus you don't have all that extra stuff to worry about breaking down how long will the added expense to maintain it. God Bless Y'all & God Bless America!!
I own a 2014 Mustang and I've been looking around for a potential refresh. Looking at this travesty of an instrument panel (literally two ipads strapped together with a plastic housing) I think I'll friggin pass. Holy moly, how do you screw that up so badly?
A co-worker got delivery of his , a few weeks ago. Can't believe the gaps between panels. I asked him if he saw that and said : ' you can't see it from afar '.
Always hate on the manual adjustment on the 2 door cars but they are like that for a reason so you don’t have to wait 5m holding the button when you want to let someone in the back seat just release the latch and flip it forward..
Crazy question. How is it for safety? Does it have 360 cameras and good for a 6yr old and his booster seat in the back seat. This seems bigger than the 230i. Is it safer or not really.
Had a 2016 mustang gt 6mt, traded in for a 2023 c8 and went back to a 2022 mustang 6mt after 6 months. The mustang is so much more fun to daily drive and the exhaust sounds great unlike the c8 exhaust which was very disappointing.

I have the 2024 Premium with performnce pack, active exhaust, mag ride - fully loaded. The vent in the front is functional for the cooler. The car has the oil cooler, trans cooler, dif cooler, everything you expect out of a track capable car. I couldn't do the base stingray with the old pushrod motor and give up my MT. I would obviously choose the Z06 with the flat plane crank, but I don't have 150k to spend, so I'll just turn my GT into a whippled monster with Steeda suspension, 275/305s and aero and be happy. In the end much better than a stingray (ultimate unc car) in my eyes. I'm sure the people who lovetheir stingrays disagree and that's cool.
Comparing a GT car to a pure sport car is crazy 😂 Not the same goal when buying one or the other. The Vette is a proper sport and track car for performance. It is lightweight, DCT, mid rear engine, and only 2 seats. The Stang is more functional for every day driving with a big trunk, 4 seats, front engine. Might be OK for track days, but gentle track days for sure without mods. People wondering about buying a Mustang or a Vette do not understand what they really want if they are considering both.

Great review as always !!!
Looking through the back window seeing the engine nice and clean it looks great but with that engine dirty it's a turn off
It takes 5 minutes to clean the C8 engine.
@65sohc you're full of shit 5 minutes
Great review Joe, thanks! I'm getting the GT but was on the fence about the all black & Nite Pony package. Your video sealed it for me. I just ordered a 2025 GT Premium fastback 6-speed manual black/black with Nite package & Active Valve Exhaust. $55,244 Out-The-Door price locked in. I'm certain I'm going to like it. It's not a Dark Horse. It's a Shadow Pony!
Yes of course Joe & I buy this car someday.
I'm a chevrolet man so I'll have to take the vette. Don't get me wrong, I love the mustang since my uncle bought the 87 gt brand new. But I always gravitate to gm car for some reason. I've 20 cars in my life. One was a 95 Thunderbird 4.6, the other was a 03 dodge dakota 4.7. My badd i have a 07 srt8 charger now but the rest were nothing but the general.
Joe this is such a better deal! And you get a little room in the back and trunk space.
Never been a ford guy but at least they are keeping the mustang and keeping the v8
Man I hate that dash... It makes me not want to buy one at all to be honest. I don't want that digital if I want to keep the car the rest of my life.
Definitely 💯!! Get a low mile 2013-14 S197..
Get the previous generation if you can. I think the last great Mustang (so far) besides the Shelby's (GT350 and GT500) is the Mach 1.
That's the premium. Get the lower trim GT and it doesn't have all that shit, but still has the same performance
💯 agree. First Mustang in decades I hate and will never get another new Mustang again. Ugly as fk design. Obnoxious dash and interior. Don’t need or want any of that digital dash 💩. Don’t want two I pads looking at me Too much tech. More to go wrong

@@Platos-Den Yes, a pretty sizable price increase on most builds, and they removed the wireless charger along with a couple of color choices. There's absolutely no reason to wait for a 2025.
i love the ford mustang
For anyone interesting. Just by the look of it, it doesn't have the performance package, only the brembo option. Regarding the performance package, it would have also had a different front lip along with a rear spoiler and different wheels that normaly come with pirelli tires (not that good but they offer more grip than those continental). My last pirelli lasted only one summer... I suggest at least the indy500 tires if you want to hook more.
Nice on point video. I own a vapor blue 2024 mustang gt w active valve exhaust that i ordered in may., It has the 6 speed trans with Perrelli all season tires n brembo brakes. love ripping this beast through the neighborhood and waking up the neighbors.......This beast puts out 486 ponies n is soooo Fast im surprised i havent received a ticket.......Interesting you can use 87 octabe gas(regular) and save a ton of money. I did pay 50k new and had to pay a 1000$ gas guzzler tax. now i understand why as i have yet to get more that 11 mpg in 1800 miles ive put on this Beast.........Tons of Fun and i love it...!!!
Great review, but you forgot to zonk the chrome lug nuts on the blackout package.
You can buy a Mustang GT, and get the $10k blower on it too, still be significantly cheaper than the Corvette stock, and blow its doors off.
I love It, Joe, especially about color, Solid black gives furious look to it. First Mustang and then C8.❤Joe❤Lori❤Steven🙏
Very cool!we just bought my son's 2019 murdered out GT from Walker Ford 6 months ago.we love it!💪🏻🇺🇲
The camaro and all other v8s gone, its price is just stupid high, no competition
Not even close to my C8!!!. I've owned Mustangs in the past & the performance of my mid engine C8 blows them all the way. A better comparison is the Camaro
Fall in line.
Even a Camaro SS is a better track car than the S650 GT. The dark horse would be a better comparison.
He probably would do a Camaro comparison but since Chevy discontinued production he probably figured why bother.
@@ocnyoura6803 its all of 14 hp difference between the GT Premium and the Dark Horse. Ill take the Mustang over the Camaro any day. Camaro cannot handle like the Mustang can. Not even close.
Can't be comparing a mustang to a corvette😮
Mustang GTD for the win.
ON THROTTLEEEEEEE
Hold on tight!
Just bought one 2 days ago. 3rd mustang and I am in love with it.
Hello Joe, You need to a UA-cam video like Jim Cramer of CNBC’s Mad Money.
Great review as always
i got lucky and got mine for just under 40 brand new but it was a base and blacked out theres NO reason to go higher then a base
A fully loaded GT Premium can go over 70K for a 2025 model.
@@shaddiehadid7547under 40 is def where the price should be. I test drive one…it was nice. Just wish it had more torque(low end)
@@Derek-pq3zb i love mine 100% have no gripes really as it is my first v8 rwd, plenty of power already for me as a daily so
S550 is actually better
Most of these guys just love the ecoboost and Mach E here and love Ford direction in putting tiny 4 bangers in F150 and ecoboost in Expedition but in this household if it don’t have V8 you’re not parking in the driveway. No Tesla allowed
Personally, I really dislike the new mustangs. I’d get a used GT 350 any day over this.
Joe this channel is one big rerun, give us something fresh.
Wait till you own one and Ford ignores you when you point out the junk they sold you.
Mustang for 23 yr old college kid first job after graduation. Vette for 45 year old guy who saved up for five years. Been this way 50 years....nothing has changed
The flat they need dish thanks for the video Joe ❤
It just doesn’t seem like an apples to apples comparison. After driving the c8, it’s such a different experience. True sports car versus a muscle pony car. Both great, but for different reasons.
he never said it was
@@brianfeeney3936 what’s the point of this then.
One day i'll buy one! In Germany, the GT starts at about 60k €

@@mikejames-drummerreginacan1386 i do quite often :) But i don't think this Mustang would make fun on the Autobahn... i'd more likely drive it through the Blackforest roads

Got a question for you
If you're going to daily drive this what do you go for?stick or auto
I know how to drive stick, just don't have much long term experience with it as i have never owned a stick.
Or if i go stick do you go dark horse with a better trans(i have heard from other reviews)
That looks like the perfect new patrol car for the Florida Highway Patrol! Gosh darn does that thing look good. That would make an amazing unmarked highway patrol vehicle. C8 all day. I've never been a Mustang fan. The owners I've met of mustangs only made it worse. Can't go a mile down the road without seeing a Mustang gt, everyone, and their mom has one. And that only makes me like them even less, and those iPad dashes are absolutely horrible.
Can’t take the kids for ice cream with no back seat. Mustang wins…
Camaro and Mustang 🐎
Are comparable!
Great video and thanks 🙏🏾
The dash in the mustang used to have a beautiful retro look. Now this thing could be out of an Expedition. Not a fan. The rest of the car is awesome but that dash is hard for me to get passed.
I’m shopping both the base GT is 47,000 the base Vette 71,000. That is a 24,000 difference. The GT sounds better with the active exhaust 1,500 option. I’m leaning towards the GT.
Would definately pick the mustang. Brilliant car
Bro, love the content on your channel! I like how you're always mentioning 'the snacks on the door pocket' 🤣🤣🤣

No comparison to the C8.
BTW, my C8 is VERY comfortable.
Just say no to 4 seats.
Also, every idiot has a way to noisy Mustang.
Corvette is a masterpiece, get over it.
Buthurt?
Every old a$$ mutha fuqa has a corvette. Lol.,
Was that S650 running or in Accessory mode because those Rear LED Tail Lamps are blinking in Sequential Form with Emergency button activated?? They don't do that normally. Well, my S650 GT with Performance Pkg doesn't do that for Emergency Flashers (with the Engine on).
Love the Mustang GT. The dark horse is obviously the higher spec, but there's just something effortlessly cool about a Mustang GT. Blacked out look is nice too.
Digital dashes suck. At least make them look like a gauge cluster and not a computer monitor. Easy pass.
Sounds incredible....red stitching and red aluminum paddles would have been killer...still hate that huge screen and never going to change my mind. It is a sports car not a family hauler....go back to the regular gauges under the cowl like dash and leave the giant screen for the explorer! I buy this car for driving enjoyment....not a massive infotainment screen.
the front vents aren't fake its for the oil cooler that car doesn't have. the plastic is removable when ready, not fake.
Joe and Lori and Steve keep up the good work real true and I love the video 👍
I go for the Mustang anytime great looking car brilliant show thank you so much from Sydney Australia 🇦🇺 😊
God Bless Y'all &
God Bless America!!
I own a 2014 Mustang and I've been looking around for a potential refresh. Looking at this travesty of an instrument panel (literally two ipads strapped together with a plastic housing) I think I'll friggin pass. Holy moly, how do you screw that up so badly?

Comparing a GT car to a pure sport car is crazy 😂
Not the same goal when buying one or the other.
