    Top tip for drying laundry stick a fitted sheet over 2 clothes horses with the dehumidifier in the middle double sheet works best. It turns it into a little drying tent and dries t-shirts, socks etc fast.

    Thanks for the review ! Bit surprised to see the Arete one measured at 48 dB; the website mentions 35 - 38 dB ? Any thoughts why there is such a difference ? Thanks!

      I'm at home, they're probably in a quiet factory. Distance, I'm just holding my phone and maybe less than 1m away. My phone too, not really a professional microphone/device! Also, I've used it alot, i wonder if it needs a clean somehow / it's aging...?

    Hello! I’m trying to buy one of these but in France the Arete 2 is not really in stock for the 10l version or the 12l. Is it worth paying more and waiting more for the arete two instead of arete one if the only I like more is the phone connectivity? Is that a big deal and is it as usefull as it seems?

    • @TechNuovo
      @TechNuovo  25 днів тому

      It depends how you use it. For me, I turn it on and leave it, so I wouldn’t use the app. However some of the other features with the Two are handy. Performance is similar, both work well, both will manage humidity and extract moisture.

    Do I really have to purchase the HEPA filters every time? I thought I could just take out the filter when it needs cleaning, clean it and put it back in. Replacing it every time would just cost more money, unless it gets fully dirty like after 6 months?

    • @TechNuovo
      @TechNuovo  25 днів тому

      I changed it once in the Arête One, only because I thought a year had passed and I should change it, not because i thought it was dirty or in poor condition. I took it out, shook it and kept using it

    What is the best setting to use for night mode? I don’t see point of night mode because its still too loud for me? Like I thought I would be able to change the fan speed myself for any of the modes e.g. smart humidify or whatever etc but it seems like the device automatically chooses the fan speed. So I wanted to know should I leave it on dehumidifying mode during night mode with a specific humidity target? Or should I just leave it in continuous mode? Either way I thought the fan noise would have been way quieter in night mode but it seems pointless at the minute.

    • @TechNuovo
      @TechNuovo  22 дні тому

      Hi! Night mode is a feature, there is a button for it and essential it bring the fan down to the lowest speed (if its not already on it) and then the lights turn off, no beeps or alerts. However, it is still quite loud and in my opinion, I would probabyl struggle to get to sleep unless you like that white noise hum kinda thing.
      If it has to be in your room, you've got to have it on the lowest setting and it stay there. If not in the room your sleeping in, I'd leave it in normal mode, set the desired humidity and let it work until it hits it, or the tank needs emptying.

      @@TechNuovo when you say if its in my room and has to be on the lowest setting do you mean that i should set it to the lowest target? in that case its 40, or did you mean something else

    Did it feel to u like the two was blowing more air or same as one with ur hand? Ur test results showed the two pick up less water

    • @TechNuovo
      @TechNuovo  24 дні тому

      It felt like the two was blowing more air as it was directed out, rather than straight up, which I think is why it extracted less, if that makes sense. It was aimed at an area due to the lid, rather than just the space directly above.

    Can I use the meaco without the hepe filter ?

    • @TechNuovo
      @TechNuovo  23 дні тому

      You can use it has a dehumidifier, and in air purifying too but you won’t be filtering anything as the filter isn’t there…

    Mines arrived today, and after leaving it running for 10 minutes in a room with the door closed I saw that the humidity level was already at 55 which is the recommended one. Is this a bad thing because it feels like perhaps the dehumidifier wasn’t needed? Or maybe it just managed to dehumidify the room really fast? I didn’t check to see what the original humidity was, but I got second thoughts thinking perhaps the meter reading isn’t working correctly or maybe my room isn’t as humid as I had thought.

    • @TechNuovo
      @TechNuovo  22 дні тому

      Many variables at play, type and age of home, insulation, double glassed, are you seeing any moisture on windows, heating on? It may be that that room at that specific time was already very close 55%. Try a different room, move it around and see what humidity it reads. Dare I say put it outside on a cold morning for a couple of minutes and watch it shoot up to 80/90% or more.

    • @RatedRRaj
      @RatedRRaj 22 дні тому

      @@TechNuovo Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it mate. Well there wasn’t any moisture on the windows this morning after having the dehumidifier on all night haha so that’s a relief. But today I’ve noticed that it’s shut off on its own about 3 times. Is this normal? Pressing the smart humidify button didn’t seem to turn it back on so I had to press the power button to shut the system back off and back on again, then the fan worked again. When I said that it shut off on its own I meant the fan stopped, not the actual power to the system, like the display is still on and showing the dehumidifier to be in use as well as the air purification, but the fan itself cannot be heard and isn’t on.

      @@RatedRRaj Which model do you have? One or Two? They will turn themselves off and go into a sleep mode when they hit the desired humdity. They then sense the humidty again, without you knowing, every 30minutes i think and if it goes up, it turns back on. Now if the set humidity is say 55 but its reading 65 and the fan ISNT on, then that doesnt sound right.

      @@TechNuovo I have the Arete two, and I just realised that it’s been answered in the instruction manual which I had already read - in regard to the question I asked. That’s why it’s been going off, because it’s within 3% of the desired humidity level. Currently I’ve set it to a target level 50 and it’s reading 47% in the room. This is actually much better as it saves energy. I think when I go to sleep I’ll leave the device in the living room this time instead of overusing it my bedroom, unless you got any other advice.
      By the way, have you heard about the sensor issue? Apparently a lot of other users complained that the sensor readings on the Arete Two are wrong and inaccurate most of the time, with one specific post I read mentioning that the actual humidity level in the room is supposedly 10% - 12% more than what the device is showing. I don’t know if you’ve experienced this or realised anything but it is interesting.

    I just bought arete two and must admit is very noisy! Compare to my old elecriq brand dehumidifier this one sound like an old refrigerator with weird noise of boiling water from the inside. Don't know if this is normal but I saw few videos on YT where people are complanining for the same reason.

    Don’t buy the Arete one they have a Hugh manufacturing fault and design flaw that the displays and control panel stops responding after a few months. A simple google search will show you the Hugh problems that these machines have I am onto my 3rd in 18 months of ownership and all the same fault. Yes they swap the units out but trust me you will get sick of it and they should be removed from sale until they fix the problem. Also the Arete two has a 7RH out as well compared to the Arete one and don’t know if this has been resolved as i bought that when it first came out
