@@youme1414 well, I'm south african myself, the reason that company was liquidated is because they made some ill advised investments in malls in the UK and they lost a lot of money there so it affected their south african business as well..
@@sbanda1909Maybe a more complete explanation since I do some small business with them, is that the liquidation has allowed them to concentrate on property development(Flats, apartments, townhouses, office parks) and rentals. This black owned company is still very financially liquid despite folding some of its mall developments. They still build and manage tons of private estates and rentals to both the private sector and the public sector. Sisa Ngebulana is the owner. He has built over 4 or 5 such malls in the country including Hemingways in East London, Mdantsane Mall, BT Ngebs Mall in Mthatha and Forest Hill Mall in Centurion. He also has other developments in Kenya. Anyway all these malls were bought from him by Liberty group for over 5 billion rands so the guy is not panicking
Sad as this mall not as busy as they hoped it would be. Better malls have opened such as the new one at Boardwalk in Summertrand. Thanks for your videos really enjoy them.
This was probably in the middle of the week. I live in Midrand an d Mall of Africa is also empty weekday mornings. People ate probably at work and go to the mall over weekends.

Yes it is . In fact the two biggest malls in the Eastern Cape were built by the same person. Sisa Ngebulana of Billion group. A successful businessman from Mthatha. His other malls include Forest Hill Mall in Centurion and Hemingway's mall in East London, the second biggest mall in the Eastern Cape.
@@AsavelaAlicia It's really great that you feel that way but in terms of their mathematical size and square metres Bay West and Hemingway's mall in East London are the two largest malls in the Eastern Cape. I also used to "feel" that Menlyn mall was bigger than every mall until I learnt that Fourways mall is actually the biggest mall and yes Greenacres mall is definitely bigger than every other mall except those two.

Poorly located mall, the better mall in PE is Boardwalk
Nope..!""To many hooligans in summer strand, is litted with broken glass bottles on beach, and rocks.
I beg to differ
Where in which town or city is this mall?
Port Elizabeth, or Gqeberha
That information would have been helpful
Y is it empty
Where is the clients?

The Boardwalk mall is a cheapy, dont have much to say summer strand is not the same just overcrowed hooligans. Baywest is far better, big open spaces.

I guess we can't be surprised that is empty, everyone is running away to gauteng and capetown for better opportunities.

Unbelievable. A couple of years ago you could hardly move in there for the crowds of shoppers
Mall is poorly located. Its not ideal to take two taxis to this mall
Cool video, but it's definitely not the biggest mall in the Eastern Cape

Okay, maybe I don't know what a mall is. Does Green acres qualify as a mall? Because it's waaay bigger than BayWest

@@luthovellem865 is it because The Bridge and Green acres mall are counted as two separate malls?
