@ 10:53 , the security guards of a US shopping mall would intimidate, reprimand, or physical remove people who loiter or doing non- shopping activities in the shopping mall.
China’s shopping malls are designed for family activities including Tai Chi, exercise regiment, dancing, ice skating, and baby strolling.

Sadly, our country often emphasizes a negative narrative about China concerning national security and intellectual property. While there might be some truth to these concerns, they are often exaggerated to slow down the competition, as seen with Huawei and the upcoming DJI drone bans. Americans should visit China to see and experience the region for themselves. It is highly advanced and has a low crime rate. We were truly amazed during our visit.

I thought the largest mall was South China Mall in Dongguan, which had a reputation as a "ghost mall" after it opened because it was built in a bad location without decent access to public transport in a working class city. That mall has subsequently been filled but it took a long time. I was in Wuhan last year. I briefly went to a huge shopping mall in Optics Valley at night after visiting Huazhong University. I don't think it's the same mall - your one is taller. Anyway, I'm not that into malls. I go sightseeing instead. I went for a long walk all around the city, and did about 30 km on either side of the Yangtze River. 😄

This shopping mall is amazing, a city in its own right. However, it is still not the largest shopping mall in the world. The largest shopping mall in the world is in another Chinese city.
New South China Mall, the largest shopping mall in the world, is in Dongguan, China, with a total area of 6.46 million square feet (about 113 standard football fields)
The second largest shopping mall in the world is still in China. The Golden Resources Mall, the second largest shopping mall in the world, is in the Chinese capital Beijing, with a total area of 6 million square feet (about 105 standard football fields).
Currently, these are the only two shopping malls in the world with total area equal to or more than 6 million square feet. All other shopping malls, including the third largest one, are far smaller than these two.

    Not anymore.

Trabajando. Luego del trabajo van a los shopping. Así es la vida del chino. O trabajan y sacan el país adelante o pasean y son pobres. Así de sencillo.

"China Travel" is a hot topic in 2024 with the No Visa Required policy for many countries. So far nobody put shopping malls on the recommended place to visit. Perhaps they should.

I have to disappoint you. it does not even come close to the largest malls in the world. it is 800,000 Sqm which actually is BS too, because it contains a ski piste of over 100,000 meters. The Iran mall is 1,920,000 meters, The avenues Mall in Kuwait is 1.2 million meters and 5 malls in Thailand, 1 in Malaysia, another in Iran, three in the Philippines, three others in China and 5 in Thailand are all bigger
