He has an art of being able to raise his game on the big platform and under pressure. When he does no one and I mean no batsman can play him. He is an absolute joy to watch. He's lost just a tiny bit of pace, but the main thing he's lost is the swing. Swinging with a 130+ pace would do perfectly fine too - just look at Asif in his prime
Wasim Akram once described in detail the art of swing bowling. Your muscles adopt how you bowl, then you have to maintain that brain to eye to muscle coordination. Each time you change your style you need couple of series to adjust. Wasim once said he prolonged his career by playing county cricket in UK otherwise if you have 6 months layoff its very hard to get back in rythm. Here we are talking about 5 years of layoff. Many swing bowlers performed for 3-5 years and then faded away. Very few were able to maintain it throughout their career.
Just sad that Md Amir one who could've turned out to be one of trickiest bowler to face...Did not have the same pace after comeback..Cricket lovers love to watch such contests..Amir was a young potent force with pace and swing with a promise to provide many such contests with top-class batsmen..Still remember how he was still effective after comeback, champions trophy final match 2018, the wicket that he took of kohli was a gem of a delivery...With Amir, Wahab Riaz, Md asif it could have been deadly combination of pace attack any team in the world would have loved to have in their arsenal...Pak cricket team would have blossomed into world beaters if not for the spot fixing scandals

He's lost just a tiny bit of pace, but the main thing he's lost is the swing. Swinging with a 130+ pace would do perfectly fine too - just look at Asif in his prime
He has the pace but he has completely lost control over swing. Looking at his bowling now it looks like a completely different bowler.
Wasim Akram once described in detail the art of swing bowling. Your muscles adopt how you bowl, then you have to maintain that brain to eye to muscle coordination. Each time you change your style you need couple of series to adjust. Wasim once said he prolonged his career by playing county cricket in UK otherwise if you have 6 months layoff its very hard to get back in rythm. Here we are talking about 5 years of layoff.
Many swing bowlers performed for 3-5 years and then faded away. Very few were able to maintain it throughout their career.

Just sad that Md Amir one who could've turned out to be one of trickiest bowler to face...Did not have the same pace after comeback..Cricket lovers love to watch such contests..Amir was a young potent force with pace and swing with a promise to provide many such contests with top-class batsmen..Still remember how he was still effective after comeback, champions trophy final match 2018, the wicket that he took of kohli was a gem of a delivery...With Amir, Wahab Riaz, Md asif it could have been deadly combination of pace attack any team in the world would have loved to have in their arsenal...Pak cricket team would have blossomed into world beaters if not for the spot fixing scandals
