I'm a law student so I'm intrigued by The Boys Club. I also like the trope of "past friends coming together", but I didn't like The Secret History and DNFed it. I've heard We Were Villains is similar to The Secret History so I'll not read it (also I don't care about Shakespeare). Can you do a recommendation video for that friends trope? Also, really appreciate you putting the timestamps in the video for the respective books ❤

Hi. Quetion: I read Amazon will withdraw your book/novel if it shows any pedophile or incest on it, however they are selling Game of Thrones, which has many of those behaviors. Any idea?
@@ReadingwithMatthew I would definitely place her in that group! She’s a Dr. of Psychology and used to work with children who had a lot of trauma. So all of her books are deeply psychological, have amazing character development (slaughter-esque) and are super twisty! My favorite of hers (so far) is The Perfect Child.
Have read and enjoyed nearly all of these. Was totally disappointed in the ending of The Boys Club. The book was such a strong statement about firm atmosphere, politics, conflicts, insecurities, etc. but then completely wimped out on final resolution. Felt like a different author (who maybe had only read a synopsis?) stepped in with orders to “wrap this thing up.” What a let down!

I felt like the Jar of Hearts was alright but not life-changing because I figured out some of the major twists.
I'm honestly surprised I didn't see half the stuff coming. It just really worked for me. I think I liked the writing style too.
