- This is a quick explanation of the features and functions inside the 2020 Honda Civic EX sedan. If you are considering purchasing one, or have already purchased one this is a nice refresher over what amenities the car has to offer.
Took the plunge and bought this car. My first car purchase!

I own the 2018 Civic EXT. It’s pretty much identical to this 2020 EX model except the EXT has different rims.
I bought my 2018 new, June 2018. As of today, Jan 30 2021, I have over 60,800 miles. Since I drive so much, I maintain the car aggressively...every 3,500-3,900 miles and use only the highest detergent gas (Sunoco 93 Nitro). The detergency will hopefully mitigate carbon deposits as this is a turbo model (notorious for carbon build up in the valves). I replaced the transmission fluid and flushed the brake fluid. I also cut the rotors and replaced all four tires at around 55,000 miles.
I have no issues so far. The car performs very well and I’m averaging 32mpg with mixed city/highway driving. Great performance. Great value. I plan on keeping my Civic until it dies. However, the upcoming 11th GEN model is coming out later this year. If it’s better than this 10th GEN, I might consider buying it in 2022 or 2023 (I always avoid first gen models).

Hi! My 2017 Honda Civic EX-T recently got totaled. SO SAD! my car was my favorite trait of mine. I’m wanting to buy another civic, maybe the 2020 or 2019 civic, but I’m wondering why there isn’t an EX-T model? I loved my turbo engine and I don’t know much about the LX and other models. Wondering what you think!

The EX now only comes in the turbo'd engine. So you will not see options for both.
It's bcuz Honda cars almost all of them are turbo engine

Looks like this is a pretty spacious comfortable car for the model and size every bit as comfortable as a camry.

The road departure mitigation lights up you know its on however, the collision mitigation breaking and vehicle stability assist does not. How do you know if the "collision mitigation breaking" and "vehicle stability" is on or off?
So besides the Honda sensing and the lights, what is the big differences between the 2019 and 2020 models? Is it just worth it to get the 2019 model and save some money?
It is definitely a way to go. Some prefer to buy an older age model to get better interest rates, and save a few dollars. Other will want the latest model available. If you are going to drive it until the wheels fall off, I would go with the 2019. If you typically trade in your car before it is paid off, you could consider both. I would sit down with my local dealer when i am ready to buy and ask for the price and payments on both. Get a real feel for what the difference will be for you.
I have the 19 and Honda looks exactly like this one same color and tires exterior and interior and trim and model and honda sensing is pretty much the same. It breaks in its own, lane keep assist, wheel moves on its own during highway and distance and cruise control set up. I'm loving it

I got the 2019 Ex trim i love my car. I bought it last year. If you want a newer model just get 2020, there is no greater difference between the two. I would recommend the 2019 because you can save more for your money. 2020 if you want the newest. Let us know which you decided to get.

I bought the 2020 Honda Civic EX about three weeks ago and I love it! While I loved the rims and sport pedals on the Sport trim, the moonroof, heated seats, the additional honda sensing features, and slightly better MPG sold me on the EX!
Kandace W yea after doing more research and watching hella vids on the sport and ex models I realized the sport addition didn’t offer as much as the ex did and that’s the one I’m going with as well. Also congrats to you!

Thanks for the review. It seems to me that 2021 vs 2020 Honda Civic Ex is exactly the same by looking at the specs. Do I miss anything (except the pricing)? any upgrades to 2021 model?

Hi Justin! Loved your review! I just bought the 2020 EX model and I am loving it and knew most of the features thanks to your video! I had a question, it’s almost time for me to fill up the tank and I was seeing in the manual that there are different recommendations based on whether the model has sport mode or not. I was wondering if the EX has a sport mode since there is the S and L on the gear shifter, or if the EX is considered a model without sport mode.

Congrats on your Honda. The S Mode, is Sport mode. So, yes your vehicle does have it.
Hey Justin! Do ALL of these EX's have a leather wrapped steering wheel? I've seen other vids on this car. Some people don't.

I just got the 2020 civic ex not much different then the 2019, but I just have one question on the window sticker it said it had an 8 speaker audio system and up on close inspection I only see that the front door and rear deck have speakers. how come there are no speaker on the back doors. I only counted 4 speakers... can you explain this to me please

The Touring will have all the capabilities the EX will have. So you could watch that, and gt most of the details....

Is there a voice warning that the parking brake is on when you turn on the engine?
There is not. There is an indicator n the brake button and in the dash. It will alert you if you try to start moving with it on.

Is there on/off on ac and in the infotainment? Or it's just really automatically on when i start the engine?
You can turn on the AC on and off via the infotainment system. The fan you can turn on with the knob. Or it will turn on to your last setting when you start the car.

what’s the difference between these two?
Same engine, almost same look! Accord little bigger I believe, idk exactly how much! But more spacious in between the seats and the trunk! Not too sure about horse power but pretty much for the same money you get better deal with Civic then Accord! Not much difference tbh

The sport has a 2.0L NA engine, the EX has 1.5L Turbocharged engine. The EX has more goodies. The sport has better rims IMO.
I actually have a 2020 sport currently. I’m considering trading it for a 2021 EX. Is it worth the upgrade? My payment would increase $50 a month.
i just leased my 2020 ex, the 2021 seems identical but it’s more expensive . if i were you, i’d go w the 2020 ex . or you can wait till next year when honda drops their new generation of sedans, which will have a whole new design
Can you install this garmin maps thingy to get navigation instead of Apple CarPlay?
Currently Android Auto and Apple CarPlay do not offer Garmin as a mapping system.
I'm considering leasing a 2020 Civic (or Accord), but I've heard from various people that neither car handles will in snow. Can anyone offer insight?
that's false they both handle well in snow, however, if you live in a very snowy area, for example, I live in Ontario where we get a lot of snow you should definitely invest in snow tires

A lot of dealerships offer Katzkin or other 3rd party options to install leather amongst other fabrics. If you ask they can typically do it. Or you can reach out to Katzkins and find someone who does.

@@michael93DG You can plug your phone into the USB. And use Apple CarPlay, or Android Auto depending on what style phone you have and pull up your navigation.

You can not. If you take $250 X 60 months (5 year loan) = Total price of car including tax at 0% interest is $15,000. If your goal is to be around the $250/mo range on a Civic you could look at used, or consider a lease. The lease will still be above $250, but it will be much closer.

All Hondas come with a back up camera. (since 2013). You are good to go in any model!
Is the Accord bigger than the Ex ?
The Accord is longer and wider.
Does it have a front camera or sky view
Honda does not offer a front camera.
