Dirty d was tuff for me, I only caught 3 keepers all day yesterday and a bunch of rats Maybe I fish too fast? I think the rain and overcast must have slowed the bite?
You did good. The Dirty D has been tough lately. Just keep fishing, things will get better, especially with the stable weather and warming trend that is in the forcast.
We like to throw bit topwater and swimbaits, but that isn't the thing to throw for bass this time or year. But to answer your question, the Monka Lure Works FPJ is my favorite lure. There are a few cast-to-catches with the Monka on our channel, including a fat one from New Melones. Thanks for "Chillin" with us.
It’s been tough on the Delta. You guys did good. Keep on posting, both the good and tough days
We found a small bite window and caught a few. We weren't "Heros" but we also weren't "Zeros"
Good day and good learnings!
It wasn't easy, but it was definitely fun
