I hope everyone noticed the depth on your screen, because perspective mode only works in super shallow water. Still this was great footage and I appreciate the time you spent making it.

Hell Tom, That is what I have been waiting for... someone to post live footage using ver.2.41 software. I've been waiting now since 2.33 came out, now 2.41 came out on 4/28. Just no one has really put anything out there for us to review. Would have liked to have see what your forward view looked like with 2.41. Some are saying after loading 2.33 it is terrible but a few that have loaded 2.41 say it is a whole lot better, some say great. Just don't want to mess up my forward view. Great video man. I will be updating my unit Friday when I get to the lake. Thanks for taking the time to share.
Hi Tom something i would like to understand more thé fish are on bottom less shadow it will have / more fish are up in water column more they will give shadow i m right ? I would like to use persp view but i never understood how to understand wich depth fish are . Greeting from france

There are now 3 modes for LiveScope-down and forward (the original 2) and this is new, “Perspective mode”. Forward is more like a live down view and Perspective is more a live side view, if that makes sense. Depending on how you’re fishing, there is a time and place for all 3 modes.
Yes, but I'd think the LiveScope down view would work better for actual fishing since you're fishing vertically. But perspective mode would be good to look around under the ice and find fish around cover, then drill holes where you see fish and cover.

Thanks! I checked out my forward view as well and it was good. Seems 2.41 is good for both forward and Perspective mode.

In general, that is correct. The regular forward facing LiveScope is much better for casting directly to fish if they are suspended up off the bottom.
At What depth and range have you found works best for perspective view.

Mount it on the trolling motor shaft, about 8” above the motor

Tom, I have the panoptix livescope 93sv unit and the garmin livescope lvs32. What else do I need to purchase to be able to do perspective mode?
