Naufumi would be jealous because the first girl rimiru interacted with didn’t try to kill/screw him over Also thanks everyone this is by far my most liked comment
On a more serious note, can you imagine how much of an emotional impact him showing her modern Japan had? Based on her memories, she was summoned during the firebombings of Tokyo. Those bombs killed more people than the nukes did _combined_. Her memories of Japan and her mother were colored by the imminent death of Japan and the idea that the whole island was likely to be wiped out if and when the Allies invaded. So he showed her Japan bouncing back, becoming an economic powerhouse and building a bigger and better Tokyo than she had likely ever imagined was possible. He showed her the world she left behind didn't only survive; it thrived. It seems like just a nice gesture in the episode, but it has so much emotional weight behind it and adds to what we see in upcoming episodes.
Pretty sure she would've more or less already been aware of what happened after she was summoned, though, seeing as she's had several students from modern-day Japan.
That scene of him showing her Japan rebuilding and prospering after the war nearly had me in tears when i first saw it. It's such a beautiful moment. For those of you who didn't quite get it she was summoned from Japan during one of the fire bombings carried out by the US. Imagine being a little girl and as far as you know the country you grew up in and loved is being absolutely decimated and you don't even get to see if it ultimately survives or not. Imagine spending decades not knowing what happened to your home only to finally be shown that it survived and prospered like it did.
I want to read the manga real bad, but I also kinda want to keep that authentic anime experience. But god dude, trying to wait a week for a new episode is difficult.
“Not the face! Go for the body!” is a common phrase in Japanese manga. The original line seems to be from an old Japanese TV drama. It means that if you hit someone in the face, it will leave a mark and cause problems, so you should hit them in the body. Originally, it was used by female delinquents to hurt another woman.
@@stranger342 The face is a give away that u fought, the body tho.. unless you dress like everyday is beach day then it wont be visible and coverable(unless they strip search u, which in this case would be unlikely since they’re females.) I feel like Roshi’s empathy level is usually pretty high, but it’s like 9000 at the end of this episode. It’s a nice reaction; I don’t usually expect reactors to be this warmhearted.
The Dwarf King Gazel Dwargo is such a good character. He plays the role of the King in fornt of the court never letting his guard down, but behind the scenes you see his sorrow of lossing loyal retainers and "friends" and his plans in motion of doing the best for his country... He is easily one of my most favourite characters in the SLIME! :D
Every character that draws a parallel between Rimuru and the Storm Dragon, Veldora, is really just simply putting two and two together. If you factor in that Veldora is suddenly gone and this slime, that can do all of these amazing things without the slightest bit of difficulty, just all of a sudden appeared, it's really easy. And I think that's why the Dwarven King called him a true beast. Not only could he create High Potions and give it away like it was chunk change, but he could also sway such a loyal retainer like Kaijin into working for him [Rimuru] instead.

A bit late, but what King Gazel meant by "punishing the proxy" is to punish the lawyer (known as a 'proxy') in this world that was supposed to be defending Kaijin/Rimuru. The King knew that the lawyer had been bought off by Vesta to lie about the case.
So happy y’all reacting to this show, I put it off so long because I thought it was just a basic ass isekai, but I got sucked in like crazy, binged that shit during the start of the pandemic and I lost my job and had to move

In some kingdoms, people are not allowed to speak to the ruler directly unless they are directly addressed by the King/Queen. A Proxy is a person who speaks to the King on the person's behalf. Some of the games have pulled the curtain back so to speak and showed the women using slimes for the messages instead of boobs. Shizu was summoned around age 8 during the US fire bombing campaign of Japan during WW2. That would put her in her 80s. Veldora was imprisoned 300 years ago by The Hero.
In the manga, Gazelle Dwargo actually tried to read Rimuru's inner thought while they're in the court room, but Great Sage countered it without telling Rimuru. That's why Gazelle Dwargo thought Rimuru's a monster coz he can't see through him. As someone as great as him as a King, only few individuals can do it just like Veldora.

"Just us" thank you for that lmao
Shizu was summoned around age 8 during the US fire bombing campaign of Japan during WW2. That would put her in her 80s. Veldora was imprisoned 300 years ago by The Hero.
4:46 is my favorite edit of all time 😂
Just realized that no one pointed out that Rimura did the fusion dance before transforming at 14:08
More Shaq noises? God damn y'all have the dopest editor
8:45. This guy really said fuck it imma take my drip XD
2:07 Rimuru got his thinking hat on
One minute you’re watching Netflix, the next you’ve been summon to be a royal soldier meant to end a war.
The Proxy was the lawyer for Rimuru's group who tanked their defense. This was his last day as a lawyer... or maybe just his last day.
