- The CUBE Stereo Hybrid 120 Pro 625 Allroad is a full suspension cross country (possibly all mountain) model that comes with fenders, a rear rack, and lights, making it an excellent bikepacking and adventure touring ebike for off-road environments! It features the high capacity Bosch PowerTube 625 downtube-integrated battery pack, and the high performance Bosch Performance Line CX motor offering 85 newton meters of peak torque. All electronics here are Smart System generation, and work with the Bosch ebike flow smartphone app which lets you control assist settings, geo-fence locking, and route planning. The tires are 29" x 2.6" plus sized, offering more float and stability. Both suspension elements are air, which is highly adjustable for your body weight, and also lighter than spring. Its' available in four frame sizes including Small, Medium, Large, and Extra Large. I love the upgraded 180mm hydraulic disc brakes with quad piston calipers for efficient stopping (especially given the taller 29" diameter of the wheels). The bike has boost hub spacing (wider than average) and sturdy thru-axles. The rear wheel speed sensor is protected vs. spoke mounted on older ebikes. Excellent 12 speed Shimano Deore drivetrain with a clutch to tighten the derailleur and wide 10-51 tooth spread of gears in the cassette. The bike weighs about 59 lbs depending on the size. The headset prevents oversteer and routes cables through to look nice. I like the locking semi-ergonomic grips. High quality ABUS keyset that can be matched to locks (folding, u-locks, chain locks).
I love the integrated lights, especially the headlight positioning up high on the stem. I also appreciate the kickstand, even though it and the fenders can rattle a bit if you go off-road on bumpy terrain. The bottle cage mounting point on the downtube is very handy, and the rear rack is positioned with lots of clearance for the saddle if you wanted to upgrade from a rigid seat post to a dropper post for easier mounting and handling on mountainous terrain (where you could stand and use your legs to absorb shock and terrain features). Some drawbacks I noticed are that the headlight doesn't have side cutouts to make it more visible from different angles, the mountain bike tires don't have reflective sidewall stripes, the rear rack is not unsprung (so it will bounce your cargo around when riding off-road vs. suspending it), the rear shock only has rebound adjust (no compression or lockout), the chainring guard is plastic vs. aluminum alloy, and the chainring is not narrow wide (which would grab the chan better and reduce drops). The protective plastic shield that covers the battery pack does not lock securely to the frame and could be taken. Getting the battery back onto the bike can be difficult because it's bottom-loading, the front fender is close, and the key must be inserted and twisted for the latch to be open... you can't just force it in like you could with a ramped latch. The charge port located on the frame is low and in the path of the crank arm on the left side vs. up high away from water and dust and easier to reach.

Best review ever. I’m the self appointed cool sheriff. You didn’t overuse the word cool. Speaking of cool in a real sense I’m a big fan of wide brimmed hats. I often put comfort over safety when riding. I’m 75 and have done fine so far. Trick is to not fall down. The UA-camr Brompton Traveller cycles while wearing a broad brimmed hat. Indeed! I usually wear an ABUS helmet that has a good visor built in, but I love my Tilley hat! I wasn’t expecting to cover these bikes and just did my best riding safely away from cars. Thanks for the encouragement :)

Very helpful overview of the bike, thank you! At about 5:50 you mention that the rear shock doesn’t have compression or lockout like it’s a negative that those features are missing. I haven’t ridden a bike with read suspension before… how do compression and lockout affect the ride, performance, etc?
I’ve bought the 750w version and have it about a month now. I use it both on and off road and hope to do a lot of touring Absolutely fantastic to ride and a really powerful SUV of the biking world. I’ve just fitted Tannus Armour into the tyres to hopefully eliminate most risk of punctures. The 2.60 Smart Sam tyres are amazing especially if out in boggy wet ground. I will probably fit a dropper post later but I fitted a café lock straight away just as a deterrent to the casual thief.
Things I don’t like are very noisy disk brakes (Magura) even after cleaning. Kickstand bolts came loose also mudguards retaining screws so make sure to check before long rides. In fairness I had the bike up some very rough mountain trails.
The eFlow app is excellent and so is the Bosch phone connector. Phone is constantly charged and used as super GPS. Hope this helps anyone thinking of buying one.
I’ve had issues with kickstand bolts coming loose (almost lost the entire kickstand once). I fitted a wedge-locking washer (Nord-Lock is one brand) to each bolt and haven’t had an issue since. Mind both pieces of the wedge-lock washer are installed, and don’t use other washers with them as they’d defeat their purpose.

I looked up the difference between Pro, Race and SLX for the Cube nomenclature.
The big difference I found between the Pro and Race/SLX in terms of general usability was the lack of a display. is also a different(I assume better) suspension by Fix instead of rockshox. I'd be surprised if I that is something that I would actually miss for my usecase of "energetic city and infrequent terrain"usage.
But that still carries with it an upcharge of 600/800€. If I can get the same functionality retrofitting the mounting kit and using my phone, then I'd rather save the money...
Do I have a flaw in my logic here?

Really? I got bike with Bosch motor and a silent IGH and I see often pedestrians not hearing me at all when I pass them. Totally silent bike much quieter than city environment.

i've just 0rdered the Vitus E-Escarpe 290 VR Mountain Bike witch olso acceps the new auto shift no more gimic fat tyre bikes don't get me wrong I still love my old bikes but I needed the experience of a real full suspension mountain bike and not going down the cheap path if I want the full experience so I pulled the trigger.
You don't want to be the richest guy in the cemetery.
Disappointed it doesn't have a dropper post.. That's been pretty much a standard for all duel suspension bikes for years.

I wish Cube would design more beautiful bikes, like in older times (check out the first HPA Reaction or Stereo, they were works of art). Now it's just generic and boxy, with dull colors.
Almost perfect bike except for one thing: the rack carrier is mounted on the suspension. I wonder how much would a laptop last in that vibration environment.

@@Svid1701D Never ever use backpacks for urban commute. Anyway my point was not the laptop, but the blatant engineering mistake. No matter the cargo, nothing should be directly attached to the suspensions.
