I enjoyed the video so i hit the like button before moving on to the next one 🙂 Love the fact that you got to inspire the kids at Freo school - hope a few more will follow in your wake.
On a larger motor boat in that sort of situation , single screw, no bow thruster we would drop an anchor with just enough chain to swing the ship into the wind then weigh the anchor and berth .
Y'all are SO awesome ! Glad you are finally in a place where you can take a little R&R, drink a few beers and relax. I think maybe a hat and a t-shirt is in my future ;-) Love y'all. Take care and be safe and I will wait expectantly for the next classic episode ! Oh ! And I loved the Quokka shots !

Australia's 1983 win of America's Cup was a hard one for us to take. I remember it well. Congratulations on the docking abort and save. 💩 happens. Thanks for sharing.
We did exactly the same thing in Hamilton Island marina in our mono a few years back. Still to this day we have no idea how we didn't right our boat off on the rocks. Got shivers down our spine hearing you guys did the same thing...but I think it happens to most after seeing another couple of boats do the same thing. You did well to try again the next day....I still have panic attacks coming into marinas, 4 years later on a cat after that experience.
Love the authenticity of your channel - it comes across really well. You both looked exhausted when you got to Rottnest. Definitely time for much-needed R&R.
Awesome vid as usual ⛵️ I was lucky enough to be at the Americas Cup off Fremantle. We spent two days following the race on a tall ship. I went to the after party that Alan Bond hosted. Great memory thanks! Xx
Hey good to see you’ve arrived in Freo…. The relics of Batavia were delivered by The HMAS Morsbey in the late 21:05 70’s. I was Part of the crew that delivered it…. Great spot to view such special set of relics ! Your berthing antics were a direct copy of ours in Sydney ! 👍😎
Great episode. Always gives me a smile. I bet those hot chips, tommy sauce & a cold brew tasted good after that leg. Full of history Freemantle, that bar looked & sound like the place to be to kick back for a while Cheers Flatty for dinner 💥
The sweet taste of a cold brew after a harrowing sail. Well deserved and well done guys! You two are amazing together. Best wishes for the refit and next leg of your circumnavigation. Cheers!
That was so cool seeing to speaking to college students about your life. I bet that inspired a bunch of people! And question - was Jonah aboard for the "terrifying turnabout?" What did he think of all that?
insane that i didnt know you guys were youtubers and walked past you a donzen times, probably a good thing cause i would have annoyed the hell out of you will a million questions hahaha. crazy to see my boat in the shots of the club too.
Wow, I'll bet all those cute nurses at his ER department are checking out the new sailor ! Wow, I'll bet there were a lot of boat parts there ! We had bars in my seaport of Eureka, Humboldt Bay, California where you threw peanut shells on the floor, but I did not know that started with maritime bars.
😂they're in trouble, yeah we will be able to find everything we need without to much drama, wich is a huge bonus, yeah wow! it was a first for us but certainly added to the novelty 😁
Congratulations on making such a difficult passage... and for having the Titanium Space Balls to invite a Jonah on the boat. (O_o) Haven't y'all watched 'Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World'?!? 😬😬😬 😂🤣😂 Just kidding... Well done indeed, and great episode. God bless, godspeed, and happy sails from Central Texas, USA. ✌️❤️🚀🤠
Freeo is such a nice spot, have you come across any big whites sailing that coast? They used to be on the radio every day saying what beach's had sharks when I was living over there.if you are a acdc fan,bon scott grew up in freeo 🤘
Goodness it just goes to show even the best sailors have bad days in harbours. We exited our pen once and did a 360 infront of everyone because our rudder and wind didnt like each other and it was a cringe moment hahah
Watching that aborted docking I was reminded of a very very old sailing technique called club hauling. Sketchy AF but just the thing in the circumstance. Also, I've tried to get a copy of the book Batavia and they seem to be rare as hen's teeth. I found one used copy that would have cost $110AUD by the time I got it.
110 bucks is a lot for a novel, if you're in Aus, then a second-hand bookshop would often have a copy cheap as chips, or his books would generally be in the public library and they would lend it to you for free?

Jonah consistently passes the vibe test! :)
Been passing and exceeding the vibes test for decades

Winning ticket. That is called club hauling. Pretty sketchy under sail.
Glad the three of you, saved the boat. Can’t wait for the southern ocean.

Enjoyed very much. ❤
Awesome, thank you!

Nice one guys! That beer must have been almost sweet after the big trip down, I wouldn’t have shared any with the Quokka either Soph😝
