You need to add all the chicken to a bowl, then add all the sauce to the bowl, then toss until the chicken is well coated with the sauce. Much like when tossing chicken wings with sauce. This is cooking 101.
Try cooking it by temperature rather than time. In my air fryer it's not too dry after 8 minutes but is still over 165 F internal. Brandon will not forgive you of depriving him of orange chicken.
Please return your air fryer or throw it in the garbage. I need a new air fryer so I just went and read reviews for this one and so so so many are saying it’s horrible. It’s a fire hazard!! Please don’t risk it. It’s not worth it to get rid of it! ❤
Hi Ms. Ming. The Costco orange chicken has much bigger pieces than the Trader Joes. I opened a bag last night and they were crumbs with a few larger pieces. It was really disappointing and didn’t even taste good. Trader Joe’s chicken is dark meat.I took the breading off a piece and it was definitely all dark meat.
TJ's is ALL dark meat that is fatty and delicious. So that part is good. White meat is...well white meat, desirable to some but dryer also. I want to ask you if the chicken was like fresh white meat or like that spongy kind of pressed white meat. A grocery chain used to carry this brand in a regular small size but now it is exclusive to Costco (and BJ's). I tried it years ago and like the -- like you said -- pure orange flavor, but it is not really Asian with any soy, etc. I like the TJ's sauce too but the OTHER ONES on the market like PF Chang's and InnovAsian & others ALL have this sauce with a strong fake ginger flavor that tastes like PINE SOL and I can't eat it at all and just throw it out. TJ's isn't like that. I like it that you say this is crispy! The TJ was NOT crispy in the oven or even frying the pieces in oil first. No matter what you did or for how long, it didn't ever "crisp up." It was more like a pancake batter no matter what you did. That is why I don't want to get it again. I like crispy! I'll have to get this again now since it's not available at our "Roche Bros" chain anymore, but it is too much with about six servings total! Even one bag is too much for me. I had been planning to get it at the Roche Bros next time I went to the far suburbs where this chain is located in my city, but on the co. website, it says it is available only at Costco & BJ's.
