Rap your left hand grips in paper tales and turn on the heated grips. And see if you get any water in the paper tail, make sure you wrap your switch for the shift. Lever. Also
Hey, Chris. Not to sound so shrewd. However, I heard you mention the temp gage on the spyder. Just so you know, the reading on that gage is for actual engine temperature. Not the outside temps like in your car.
Hi Chris. It doesn’t look that hard too take the side panels off (you tube videos show you how) so you can 😅check on things and clean up as needed. My dealer would charge 300to 400 dollars too do what you u can do yourself…give it a try.
I wonder if your neighbors wonder if you have lost your mind 😂. Also, I would be very careful with the do it yourself car wash because of the water pressure from the wand. Thanks again for another awesome video.
Maybe winterise the bike with ACF50 or similar before using it on salted roads? Be wary of pressure cleaners near wheel bearings etc., keep the wand at a distance as a minimum. Dry thoroughly with a leaf blower or similar, cover wheels and brakes then spray on ACF50. Wipe down the excess. If you must ride in winter, 3-4 applications per year and you're good. Honestly, it's a shame to hear that your anxiety over reliability and impracticality is getting the better of you.
Honestly, for the cost of the vehicle and the fact they sell it all over the world, I would expect no less than that it lasts whatever the weather and road conditions
Is it somewhat embarrassing to arrive at your destination soaking wet and covered with slush and salt? I can’t imagine the amount of road spray that you would be hit with.
In Europe, they use ACF-50 for stopping corrosion.

I believe we are talking about two separate things. There is an engine temperature gauge, but there’s also an ambient temperature gauge.

yeah, these are not made for those conditions. I'm surprised you have any traction at all. I always struggle for traction on anything but dry roads.

The neighbors thought that already.
@SpyderChrisYT , I have learned a lot from watching your channel. Also, I get to see how beautiful New York is. Thanks again
Be nice if you used thinner oil for winter conditions..
Usually cars always give temperature operating guidelines for oil types .
It’s a good thought!
Did you determine if the gear shifter is frozen?
Not for certain. But it’s working now.
Nice video, good luck. Do you watch smokes daily vlog here?
I watch some of his, but not every one.

Thanks for the tip. I’m waiting for the next “warm” day to wash it and spray it with a rust inhibitor.
It’s a Canada product, maybe they thought about snow, salt, etc?
I don’t believe they intended the Spyder to be used in winter.

Yup. Hence the rental car.
Don't ride if your afraid of salt ect.
The Spyder is my only vehicle.
