I just put a deposit on this model (in 2021). It's 20 degrees outside with a foot of snow so of course I couldn't test drive it. That worries me a bit but when it came in on trade to my friend's place of employment he messaged me right away- I put a deposit on it but I wish I could test drive it first! The side saddle bags are for the specifically designed luggage that fit absolutely perfectly in there Also the top luggage box has a piece of luggage perfectly shaped to fit and the front trunk has one too 😂

thank you for the video... I bought a RTS 2016 in June of 2016. Since it was so hot in AZ I couldn't ride a lot till Nov. 1st. Since that time I have 4800 miles...I ride it everywhere...I love it. What I wanted to say is I wish I had discovered your video earlier...lol, it would have saved me a lot of aha moments(especially the cruise control)...mine is intense red and yes people stare. Enjoy I am. (I also have a victory vegas 8 ball, 106, 1732cc not the same take off power but I love the Spyder more)
I'm looking at this bike now, I think it's the best looking one.

I agree this is the best video I've see about the controls of this bike. I'm watching in 2018 because I will be retiring soon and I feel I missed my chance to learn to ride a motorcycle but this is just a beautiful safer option for me that doesn't break my bank account. First I was looking at HD trikes but when I rode one I just didn't feel cool, I felt old but the Can-am is way sportier thats what brought me here, thanks great video post.

Nice walk around, thanks. Looking for one of these for this next season. Looking for a low mile used one cause I’m not buying a new one. They are way too proud of these machines, asking MSRP. I might have been in the morning, but it wasn’t this morning! I sold luxury cars for 20 years so I know a bit about deprecating assets. Finding used low mile is the way to go. Let someone else pay the depreciation. Anyway, nice video. Subbing.

I really liked you video by the way, better job than most I've seen. On my RTS I had the worst time getting my cruise to work. either it would not set or if it was on, it would suddenly stop. It turns out I was touching the brake with my foot on the side and it stopped the cruise control. It took me lots of time to get that figured out.
Great video and exactly what I have been wanting as planning on getting one shortly here in Australia. Also how do you find the position of the brake lever as it feels a bit awkward to use.
I'm not sure what you mean by the brake lever feeling awkward.... The brakes are a pedal by your right foot. They are not awkward at all. The one pedal works the brakes on all three wheels. The only issue I have ever heard about is from people who rest their foot on top of the pedal. This makes the computer think you are braking when you are not intending to. I generally keep my foot flat on the footboard with the side of my foot pressed against the side of the pedal so I know where it is. I've never had any problems with use, function, or "awkwardness". Get a Spyder you'll love it!!!! Thanks for watching!
26:28 - Cigarette Lighter Plug - in Rear Trunk. - I have The Exact Bike 2016. Bought 10 day's ago. I Do Agree Re: USB should come standard. My battery charger is located under Left front fender Bet. The swing arm & tire. This is Such a Great bike for guy's like me 55Yrs. old / Spinal Fusion.

Very nice ! I can’t decide if I want to buy a used one like this for a great deal or just buy a new one. I know the new ones are quite refined and improved but I’m not hard to please. This older model looks like plenty for me. My main requirements is comfort ( I’ve had multiple back surgeries). I don’t care about the newer ones being faster or more powerful. I just need to be comfortable and relaxed 😎.
The only thing I don’t like about the Can Ams as a whole is the fuel mileage. It just seems like they should do better than people say they do. We got cars getting over 30mpg so these things should easily do 40mpg 🤷🏼♂️. I got 42-45mpg on my Harley

Spyder Jayohee, your Spyder talk #2 is awesome, Best on UA-cam. My new used 2016 Can Am Spyder RTS SE6, arrived yesterday 9-5-2020. Unfortunately my Spyder came with no owners manual. Your Spyder talk #2, I have watched several times. While waiting for my Spyder to arrive. Your UA-cam video is my owners manual. Spyder Jayohee thanks for the best starter UA-cam video. I'm from San Antonio, maybe one day, will meet up. My pic is of my 1993 Goldwing. Be safe, whatch out for 4 and 18 wheelers, but have fun. God Bless America.

No problem! I don't mind the questions a bit. I ride often. I film when I can. I hope to do some dual vlogging with Kelly soon. We have Sena's in our helmets so I think I can record both our voices. Plus she's way cooler than me.....lol.

I have the 2014 RT-S 1330cc its the same bike I wear a XXXL Nolan full-face helmet and it does fit in the front trunk !!!
Yep very frustrating. I wear an XL modular and only need about an inch more or so. Seems like a simple thing that should've been considered in the design phase! I lock my helmet to the passenger handles using a bike chain.

the middle slot is where the connection goes for your helmet if you have CB/ inner com on your bike

That RT is bad assistance. I have the 2012 RT Ltd and I am VERY happy with it. Ride well and stay safe.
And I got the double USB mount for the xmoubt from LaMonster
I would recommend that when starting, do not turn off the parking brake until you have boarded the bike and are ready to drive.
What is your averge MPG? i figure you must use premium gasoline as well? i really like the special edition black!

7:39 that is where the jack for the head set goes if u have the CB /intercom
I'd imagine it's not easy to replace tires on the road. Need to carry a very good patch kit and air.
John G I got the RYOBI air pump that fits in the bottom of the back and takes no space at all with a tub less plug kit.

no one talks about just how easy or hard it is to turn the spider over going around a curve... that is what scares me the most about a spider, oh and by the way I do like the looks of this spider u got,,,

It is so very dangerous to full your bike with petrol while sitting on it this is why the seat covers the cap ...
The rear adjustment is on a 5 stage airbag to soften or stiffen the ride ... NOT the shock .
You right about the servicing tho ...on the 1330 inline triple it take over 6 hours just to change the Spark plugs. $$$
True, I hadn't really considered the issue of filling a motorcycle while still on it. Makes sense. Thanks for the info on airbag vs shock. I'm not a wrench head, so I may not use the right terms. lol. But yes I do tend to stiffen it up when riding 2 up vs 1 up. Thanks for watching!!

I know you have a ram mount for your phone but what is the mount holding it to the bars?
I have a XL helmet the trick to putting it in the side bag is to put flat neck touching the back top of helmet touching door try that your welcome 🤔
Any one 6ft 3 riding this exact machine? If so, how comfortable? Any seating issues?
I have a 2014 RT-S and My friend has this bike in the last 8 mouths BRP spent around $9300.00 keeping my ride on the road and My friends bike (only 3 mouths old has had $4500.00 spent on it by BRP keeping her bike on the road ...
BRP really need to up the game on the RT series the quality is just not there ...
I'm sorry to hear about your troubles with the RT. I've had mine for about 6 months now and have put 1000 miles on it. Never had a drop of trouble. I hope your issues get resolved soon!

I have a question for you. I have a 2016 Spyder RTS. I am 6'4" 275 lbs. Where I have an issue is in a parking lot, if I need to make a right turn into the parking stall, I cannot lift my leg to the brake. I have to get the wheel straightened out so I can lift my leg. (my right ankle is fused in one position so I need to lift my leg to get to the brake) I am wondering if you have any experience with the u-fit on the handlebars and is it worth it. They are expensive and also lots of $$$'s to have installed.

one side will fits full size helmet. don't remember which side. and front can carry another one.
Yang Yi Left side, opposite the muffler, is the one to fit a full size helmet.

I love the Spyder RT but the black wheels SUCK. I would change them out for some nice chrome wheels.
It's a personal preference really. I hate polishing chrome, and the black wheels go great with the tri-black color scheme. In my opinion. Thanks for watching!

Kelly and I broke up in early January and I haven't been riding since. I might start back up again, I don't know. Kelly was a huge part of the vlogs and I'm not sure the vlogs will be as good without her.

A TRIcycle has three wheels. (tri = three)
A MOTORcycle is simply, by definition, a cycle that has been motorized. Since we already have proven that a cycle can have two or three wheels (bicycle / tricycle), then a motorcycle is simply a two-wheel or three-wheel motorized cycle.
